Thanks so much, that was awesome. I've been wanting to find a full process video so I can see how long it takes to make a panel for ages and no-one that I've found has done a proper one. Thanks again!!
I would love to know more about the arduino shield and how it overrides the 24 stitch pattern repeat that are standard on those machines. You're making me want to pull my KH-910 out of storage and finally get it refurbished. :)
You can learn more on the AYAB website ayab-knitting.com . You can get the software downloaded from them. You can get the arduino shield hardware from seller redpinkgreen on Etsy. There are shields for different Brother models so be sure to find the KH910 shield.
From what I gather, its pretty simple. There are 16 solenoids so if you want to knit needle 1, it sets solonoid 1 to forward so needles 1,17,33,47, etc will all be "forward" only after you have knit needle 1, solenoid 1 retracts meaning needles 17, 33, etc are placed in hold. At least that's how I understand it to work.
He’s using AYAB, which replaces the electronic hardware inside the machine. You can also use img2track or DesignAKnit software, which require a special cable.
Yes I have done several portraits. Lots of experimenting with image styles - super lofi 80s pixelation as photo realistic as the 160px width limitation will allow.
The thickest yarn I have consistent results with is sport weight 3 "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby. The skeins are shortish but I usually get an average 24" wide and 24" height from 4 skeins - 2 per each color but depends on how "even" the amount of colors are in design.

You make it look so easy!😊

Glad to help. I am planning to do a full process video image prep, yarn prep, various details I have had to learn. Just need to find the time.
@@sailormouthdotorgplease make it! would be happy to donate you for that video
This is so interesting to me. I just brought a knitting machine and I’m learning everything I can do with it. 😊
Something new. Something I haven't seen before. Something super cool. A sort of knitting Jacquard machine?

Very inspiring!!
OMG!! I love it!!
I'm a Japanese and I have the same machine. But I can't understand all.
How you connect between PC&machine?
But this design is so good.

I’d be interested in hearing how you manage those huge yarn floats? Fascinated Machine Knitter here, love the vid ❤
I leave the floats alone. These panels I have been turning into pillow covers. Any other objects made would need the floats encapsulated in some way.
@@sailormouthdotorgHave you looked into getting a ribber and doing DBJ?
What a remarkable device. Nice vid, man.
Thank you. Just added info of what it is.
@@sailormouthdotorg que modelo de máquina es me gustaría saberlo,Gracias
@@triniruiz1638 Parece una Brother Electroknit. No estoy segura del modelo exacto pero puede ser una 910.
Thoroughly awesome. Have you done anymore portrait panels?

hi what u think about the kh-940? is a good machine? could i make something like that?

thank you
What kind of cast on are you using here?
Como vc consegue fazer um jacquard desse jeito? Passar o desenho do computador para a máquina de lanofix?

У меня похожая машина.Спасибо за идею.
Добрый день!
Елена, как называется ваша машина, спасибо 🙏
AYAB?
Yes
Can you please tell me what programme do you use and is any electronic knitting machine with do? Or do you sell this programme?
Look up a project called All Yarns Are Beautiful (AYAB). It only works with Brother 900 series machines unfortunately.
