This song has literally everything to me, that a techno metal song should have.
The lyrics too are just amazing, the mix of fantasy and cyberpunk themes, along with the male/female voices, English/Japanese, it's so well constructed.

Good one - this collaboration was on the cards for a while, they have been good friends for 5 or 6 years and had spoken often in the past about wanting to do a collaboration.
@@jthomas6672 I think so, it was a festival in the UK so Reading would fit the bill. There is a photo of Oli showing them he is wearing a Babymetal t-shirt somewhere back stage and you can almost hear exactly what noises each of them are making just from the photo.
@@jthomas6672 I think they met for the first time at a festival (Oli has spoken about seeing they were excited to be there but were shy and wanting to make them feel at home and welcome in the male dominated arena) and they probably met again later at the awards event.
@@jthomas6672 Yes, maybe they met first at the awards then bumped into each other again at Reading and Leeds.
I think they met at Sonisphere in 2014. I’m not sure, but I think so.
The two bands go back a while, having met in festivals, firstly in 2015. They quite simply love each other - both are eclectic and non purist of course. In 2019 BMtH were fairly unknown in Japan , but were called upon by the Fox God to support Babymetal in the huge arenas in the first Japanese leg of the Metal Galaxy World Tour. Of course Babymetal have great relationships with many Western Bands - many of whom cheered for them in the darker days of ignorant metal trolls - Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Rob Halford, DragonForce. Kingslayer was constructed at a distance during the Pandemic, with Oli encouraging Babymetal to include Japanese phrases
I can't wait for some of the other japanese metal bands to get more international acclaim (which I think is already happening) and for some more colabs to start happening with other western musicians. I'd love to see a Band-Maid X Slipknot colab. I know the maids are fans. I have seen their behind the scenes videos.

@@jpineda0527 BAND-MAID did an instrumental version of Slipknot's 'Duality' at the beginning of one of their online streams. Both BABYMETAL and BAND-MAID had been scheduled for Knotfest Japan. BAND-MAID went ahead and performed their set online after the festival was cancelled.
@@rickwagner- Yes, it was by the skin of their teeth that Babymetal managed to complete all 10 Doomsday performances at the Nippon Budokan. There were other performances earlier in the year there, but Bandmaid withdrew from what was effectively their album launch there. I saw their online alternative - the one where they were joking about Misa’s onstage Whisky habit.

this is how you do a collaberation. it makes both bands stand out. this is one of the best collabs i have ever heard. it elavates both bands to another level. this had been talked about for the last few years and it was worth the wait. should have done the intro, Itch for the Cure. less than 2 minutes but it leads into this song.

I'm not the biggest Bring Me the Horozon fan, but I really liked the whole 'POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR' album.
There's a little bit of BABYMETAL in the preceding song, 'Itch For The Cure (When Will We Be Free?)'.
The final track, 'One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March Towards Your Death' features Amy Lee from Evanescence.
Pretty great song title.
The haters can just go ahead and be mad at BMTH and BABYMETAL simultaneously, which probably saves time.

If you watch the "A Babymetal Guide" vid from CrypticMisery channel you will see BMTH and Babymetal were friends since very long time and they were looking for this collaboration.

Babymetal at first did all their parts in English. Olie Asked them to do a part in Japanese. Which I'm sure Babymetal was I thought I did. No, I just made that part up. Thought it was funny to me. They just re did their part and included the Japanese verse. Which really does sound cool.
I highly recommend Kagerou next . This live version with a intro by the western Kami bands ( they have 2 touring bands) its a badass song with a badass intro . Pay attention to the drum solo

Another great Japanese band to check out is a trio of prodigy’s in a band called Asterism . They don’t have a vocalist but they don’t need one . The bassist and drummer are brothers and the guitarist Hal-Ca didnt start playing guitar til she was 11 and she was 16 in this video . Pure musical metal mastery . Start with Rising Moon and then Dawn
