If you have a ti-84 calculator, you can find the test for independence OR homogeneity really easily. Put the OBSERVED values into matrix A (not the totals though), then go to stat, tests, chi-squared test (letter C). Make sure observed is [ A ], then press enter. You don't have to find the expected values, it'll do it for you! You can look at matrix B if you want to quickly see the expected values without doing the math manually.
If your RUclips channel were a stock, I’d invest all my life savings in it! Incredibly underrated/undervalued… Thank you for always delivering such great content, Mr. Porinchak ❤
When is your video on unit 9 going to be released? Also, I have been using your videos for unit 7 and unit 8 and I have gotten consecutive A's on those tests (this is coming from a generally C student who highly struggles with AP Stats). You are such a great help and I will be recommending you to anyone I know who will take AP stats in the future.
@@mporinchak the actual goat math teacher 🫡. I've had health issues that have kept me from class very often but these videos have helped me get an A for basically every single unit test in AP Stats. Much Love
In each summary video I try to hit all of the bog points, so yes they cover the stuff you will see on the exam. I have made tons more review videos that are more directed to the exam. Here is a playlist with them all in one place. ruclips.net/p/PL6334s8hsQG1JGYHVoULyFM-URr0Bg-ng
Hey Mr. Porinchak in the AP Statistics exam do we have to use the z table and the chi table or can we just write our calculator commands to show how we get the p-value?
If you use a calculator to get the p-values you do not need to use the tables at all! You do not even have to write the calculator commands either, as long as you label your p-value, for example P(chi-square > 2.3 ) = or P(p-hat < 0.23) =
i bought your course and its super helpful bro. i had major doubts going into the test before watching all of your vids and doing your practice multiple choices. im going to do your practice final exam if you have that in the course
Those calculations are soooo complicated lol, it's easy but just too much calculation:( I wonder if Chi square tests usually comes up in AP frqs or not
@@mporinchak Yeah indeed. Actually i'm having some confusion here in 13:14. As in this case, it's just HA is unequal to H0 instead of greater or smaller, why shouldn't we use a two tail (like double the 0.1889)? Thanks Mr Porinchak

Glad it was helpful! Good luck on the exam!!!!

Hello Mr. Porinchak for13:11 do we not square our p-value. Because we are looking at a two-tailed test?
No two sides tests for chi square. The chi square test statistic is always positive so find p-value by looking about it
so for each review video, are these the main concepts that come on ap mc questions on the exam from this unit or do smaller concepts also come?

Hi Mr. Porinchak, probably the 0 in 29:44 should be 0.01

the formula isn't too bad. Yes the work can be tedious but not overly complicated.
