I can't believe i've been watching this channel for almost 5 years, starting with your e30 decontamination wash outside to a full studio-like unit, I'm happy to see the growth in these past few years and can't wait for what the future brings!
That’s honestly incredible. It has been a really cool journey and at the absolute base of it I have just come to enjoy documenting these projects even more. Much love my friend
watching this kind of video on a sartuday night, cosy at home, no need to party out in a club. Always loved many things about your vids: quality shots, good taste in both music and outfits, great cars, awesome jobs always
the way you explain things and your editing style is just incredible. i enjoy detailing my car because of you, genuinely! Much respect and best wishes! i hope this new year brings you bigger opportunities that you enjoy and your channel grows even more!
Wow, what an incredible effort to educate and share your process with such detail! 🙌 We’re beyond excited to follow along with the rest of this series and watch the E39 truly transform in front of our eyes. Thank you for showcasing your passion and dedication - it's inspiring to see how much care you’re putting into this project!
I watched this today while I was detailing a customers car, and then rewatched it at home to catch up on the things I missed. Thanks for sharing these tips and making this amazing content. You're an inspiration for sure. My goal for 2025 is to stop doing mobile detailing and finally get my own shop.
As always, a brilliant video. I'm also blown away with ADS, they have nailed it across the board, probably one of the most cohesive line of products on the market. I actually like doing engine bays, no one but you can see the results, but it's so satisfying to know your engine bay is clean. Oh, and props for the Dr. Martens, they just never age, the best shoes in the world!
I completely agree, they have truly outdone themselves and I cannot wait to see what they bring to market next. Haha much love my friend! Happy new year!
@@ChromaticGarage I'm keen to try Ghost, which still hasn't landed in Australia yet. I forgot to mention loving Pilot as well, I've gone through multiple bottles now, that scent is so addictive I just wish it lingered for a touch longer, but apart from that, its perfection.
Another top notch quality film. The e39 is very beautiful, looking forward to this series! Happy new year my friend, nothing but the very best for you in 2025!
Hey Mike, I´M watching your work for so long time and I`m always thrilled. Fantastic work, perfect explained. A wonderful healthy and peaceful 2025 to you and your family....greetings Alex
Something that the guys here in Brazil also do to clean the engine bay hoses is using tyre cleaners like carpro reTyre, it makes a difference. BTW what a awensome video, luv it
I love this! I've often wondered what some of the whys were behind the techniques (what do you use in the hand sprayer for the first step when cleaning tires, for example). I love the visual (and music) l heavy videos where can just vibe and relax to some cool cars, great tunes and relaxing detailing but having some where you give more context is going to be great. Great idea about keeping the two ideas seperate tho, too. Cheers!
Thanks friend! I’m glad you have been enjoying. Definitely excited to put something together that is a little different and a little more educational. I appreciate you watching ⭐️🤝
I love it man! I asked them to do this series after I was super impressed with the stuff. I rarely change products but their stuff got me to do 3 back to back haha
I’m not a fan of BMWs as you can tell in my profile picture but these e39 M5 are something special and will always be on my need to own one list as well as the clown shoe z3!!
Just found your channel….and glad I did. Great video! Educational and a joy to watch thanks to the great videography and tunes. Does the heating the engine not cause issues with the coating? Also…digging you Doc Martens 🤣
where do you find all these old bmws? do you just rebuild the motors or drop new motors in them? love the content man, always impressed with the cinematic shots
Thanks man! Lots of friends interested in the same stuff, makes the world go round. Rarely new motors though, only when you want them to feel different!
So the actual origin of the yellow comes from printing processes when TV and film first started introducing colour, they were extremely limited and yellow was basically the brightest pigment that worked so it was common for text/titles. Now a days it’s just a bandwagon of evening copying what they see and forgetting the history or understanding it. I’m no better but I have been making videos for over a decade now and if I am using a yellow I can promise you I am referencing Wes Anderson almost always haha
@ it’s a love hate relationship with this color you can see all the rock chips and grime from the actual driving I do on the car. But you’re right when it’s cleaned up it looks great
Happy New Year guys! Any guesses what the next video in the series will be?
Happy new year! Next video? Hmm, maybe my car 😂. However its located in Europe 🙃
Detailing the Vixen for the guys at Vulcan! 😂
I'm guessing interior?

Brushing over the M logo on the engine cover must feel great, what an accomplishment to own such an iconic car, well done!
Haha it would be! Unfortunately this is my friends car but honestly even just the ability to work on such a modern classic is a true treat!
@19:30 if you replace the rubber headlight surrounds you'll reduce the amount of debris which comes into the engine bay
Shhhhhh wait for the headlight video you’re giving away the sauce 😭🤝
Love you channel style.... Not talking about detailing... but look and feel...
Thanks man! Glad you’re enjoying it!
one of my favourite cars on one of the best channels! thank you chromatic!
I appreciate you Eddie! Happy new year! 🤝🤝🤝
Excited for this series brother. ADS is top notch. Also, phobic might be easier for the bay as it’s a spray coating. Cheers
Thanks man! Phobic would be great but I was going to apply via brush either way so I’d prefer the stronger coating. Much love!
@ makes sense! Cool tip on using the brush I never would have thought of to use that.
Dream car. Best colour. Can't wait to see where this goes.
I’m excited man! I actually wasn’t sure about this colour but the more I look at it the more I get it haha

The E39 M5 is such a well thought out well built car that it's a modern classic E39s are at least a 25 year old car.

Anything but a degreaser haha. Aluminum specific products work great. Like alumax
Is the yellow subtitles something new with youtube? seen like 3 videos with the same thing lol anyway...

So the actual origin of the yellow comes from printing processes when TV and film first started introducing colour, they were extremely limited and yellow was basically the brightest pigment that worked so it was common for text/titles. Where BMW stopped making actual cars... this is not just any M5, this is THE M5.
While I do agree! I think the E9X M3 is the last one. But this is Forsure the last M5 in my opinion👍
@@ChromaticGarage M3 wise yes, but I was talking specifically about the M5.
holy crap
It’s gonna be a fun one!
I like the video but the „vintage“ filter was very annoying for me
That’s okay you’ll have to squint. It’s actually footage run through a vcr twice to diminish the quality
Good choice picking a car with an engine that was already clean to start with.
In the real world dealing with the cars that I deal with, this is a very dirty engine. Put the disaster details down and get a candy bar
@ChromaticGarage it wasn't dirty at all lmao
Title is miss leading, i take everything out of the bay that can be removed and clean individualy then put back in, that's a COMPLETE detail.
There is nothing “miss leading” about the title, you just have a different process.
First!!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just sent you my money for my m5 detail did u get it yet??
Hahaha getting money to work on an M5, blessed
