I wanted her to see achieve so many things in life so i gave my life to God to have a different lifestyle from what the mainstream media was telling me how to live my life.

I have watched a lot of how to get closer to God videos, but this one is one of those few that acutely helped. I am 12 and its hard to follow God I haven't found my christian community yet and most of my freinds arent Christian, theres some friction in my family that makes me sad but i am beliving in God for a mircale and my mom has cancer. I enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing. However I don't believe that we are "vaulable" based on what we can "do". Because then it paints a picture that if you are not "doing something" then we "ourselves" as "people" don't have value. I think maybe a better way to phrase it would be how we can share our talents/giftings to be a blessing to others which can add value to their lives. I also don't totally agree that why people could be stuggling with sin is because we are not doing enough. I think if we are not careful we can start doing alot for God and forget to have a relationship with him. We can still be busy doing things for God and still be struggling with sin. I hope I am understanding you correctly.
I’ve been struggling with sin and repentance. Many times I wanted to become a true follower of Christ but always go back in the world. So usually it’s been an on and off thing where I would come to Christ but then fall back in the world. Even now I’m trying to get my relationship back with him but I kept sinning so much even though I promise myself not to sin again. This is not easy at all for me really and even reading the Bible I don’t understand or feel anything. I’m very young so going to school always makes me forget about God. Don’t people come to God at their lowest and doesn’t God come to those at their lowest. But I’m never down my life is pretty normal. So why can’t I get closer to God?

Hi Yodeline. I am also a follower of Jesus and recently found your channel and enjoy your videos. I completely agree with everything you said. I will say that there is actual good modern Christian music, you just have to search and check lyrics. (Two examples I have are the songs "Christ Our Hope In Life And Death" and "His Mercy Is More" by Matt Boswell and Matt Papa. I moved a couple years ago and the church I attend sings these songs, so that's how I found out about them). I understand your decision to not listen to music, though. I do avoid the music from the megachurches. I'm curious about the worship at your church. If you don't mind me asking, what songs does your church sing? I know you've mentioned dancing, and I love songs I can dance to!
Some Christian modern music is bad but not all of them are as someone who has been worshiping God for my I would say 24 years Christian music has gotten worse but you gotta know what type of Christian music to listen to. You don’t need to stop listening to Christian music in general like if you want to do that that’s up to you but personally there’s some music that you shouldn’t listen to because they will do harm to you, but not all Christian music is bad
Hi Yodeline, I love your videos but I wanted to ask about the perfection comment from the beginning of the video. I am still new in my walk with God and I was told by my Christian friends that everyone is a sinner and that no human is perfect besides Jesus. Can you explain what you mean when you say you are perfect?
Hi Kim, thank you for the questions it’s a very valid one I asked this all the time and even now I spent some time thinking about it before responding. So God calls things perfect before it’s time. Basically he calls us what he already sees us as. Once we accept Jesus who was perfect we’re supposed to fully accept that in our hearts and take on his nature. He also gives us the Holy Spirit/ Holy Ghost (pray for that if you haven’t received it yet or if you’re unsure) which is what Jesus had when he came to earth as flesh. When he died of the cross it says “he gave up the Ghost” so Him dying on the cross allowed him to release that to us. In Matthew 5, Jesus said he ye perfect even as your father in heaven is also perfect. Don’t be scared that you’ll make mistakes, being perfect towards God doesn’t mean what we normally think of perfection ( flawless/ mistake free bc that would be us using our own power). It means being surrendered to Him, and His will. “Having a heart that is perfect towards Him” - 1 Chronicles 3:16. Also there are people in the Old Testament who had a heart perfect towards God, like king David but still sinned/ made mistakes big ones. But bc of his heart God still saw him as perfect. Bc He was always after Gods own heart- and bc God is gracious and merciful. That’s His nature and David knew and believed that. And we have to too. We also shouldn’t purposely sin or plan to do bad knowing that God is merciful but instead strive (in righteousness- doing what is right in God’s sight). When we are righteous that’s also the perfection of God in our hearts… and that opens you up to even more of his mercy and grace (Hosea 10:12). So God is Righteous. God is perfect. When we are Righteousness as He is, then we are perfect. Righteousness grants mercy for where we do fall short( bc it’s true that we will) since we still have this fallen body until we’re on the other side of eternity. I know this was long but I hope it helps!

And let me tell you I was so mad! All that blasphemy in one comment set me off. I carefully put together a comment and now I'm waiting for a response. Just wanted to share this to say that I understand your anger and frustration at the state of the world, and the Only One who can help IS AND ONLY IS GOD.

I want to let you know, your attentiveness to all this it doesn’t go unnoticed :) Yes they’re back, they were down for a few months and as the Lord sanctified me and my desires, he told me to remove them. I think maybe a better way to phrase it would be how we can share our talents/giftings to be a blessing to others which can add value to their lives.
I also don't totally agree that why people could be stuggling with sin is because we are not doing enough. I think if we are not careful we can start doing alot for God and forget to have a relationship with him. We can still be busy doing things for God and still be struggling with sin.

I’ve been struggling with sin and repentance. Many times I wanted to become a true follower of Christ but always go back in the world. So usually it’s been an on and off thing where I would come to Christ but then fall back in the world. Even now I’m trying to get my relationship back with him but I kept sinning so much even though I promise myself not to sin again. This is not easy at all for me really and even reading the Bible I don’t understand or feel anything. I’m very young so going to school always makes me forget about God. Don’t people come to God at their lowest and doesn’t God come to those at their lowest. But I’m never down my life is pretty normal. So why can’t I get closer to God?
It’s true we get closer to God during harder seasons because we have to rely on him for help… have you been baptized?

Hi baptism is a necessary step for repentance and committing to Jesus, It is death to your old self, the Bible calls it being born again. ““Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Hi Yodeline. I am also a follower of Jesus and recently found your channel and enjoy your videos. I completely agree with everything you said. I will say that there is actual good modern Christian music, you just have to search and check lyrics. (Two examples I have are the songs "Christ Our Hope In Life And Death" and "His Mercy Is More" by Matt Boswell and Matt Papa. I moved a couple years ago and the church I attend sings these songs, so that's how I found out about them). I understand your decision to not listen to music, though. I do avoid the music from the megachurches. I'm curious about the worship at your church. If you don't mind me asking, what songs does your church sing? I know you've mentioned dancing, and I love songs I can dance to!
I agree with a lot of this but sanctification works over time. Once you get saved Jesus works on you.
Some Christian modern music is bad but not all of them are as someone who has been worshiping God for my I would say 24 years Christian music has gotten worse but you gotta know what type of Christian music to listen to. You don’t need to stop listening to Christian music in general like if you want to do that that’s up to you but personally there’s some music that you shouldn’t listen to because they will do harm to you, but not all Christian music is bad

Hi Yodeline, I love your videos but I wanted to ask about the perfection comment from the beginning of the video. I am still new in my walk with God and I was told by my Christian friends that everyone is a sinner and that no human is perfect besides Jesus. Can you explain what you mean when you say you are perfect?
Hi Kim, thank you for the questions it’s a very valid one I asked this all the time and even now I spent some time thinking about it before responding.
So God calls things perfect before it’s time. Basically he calls us what he already sees us as. Once we accept Jesus who was perfect we’re supposed to fully accept that in our hearts and take on his nature. He also gives us the Holy Spirit/ Holy Ghost (pray for that if you haven’t received it yet or if you’re unsure) which is what Jesus had when he came to earth as flesh. When he died of the cross it says “he gave up the Ghost” so Him dying on the cross allowed him to release that to us.
In Matthew 5, Jesus said he ye perfect even as your father in heaven is also perfect.
Don’t be scared that you’ll make mistakes, being perfect towards God doesn’t mean what we normally think of perfection ( flawless/ mistake free bc that would be us using our own power). It means being surrendered to Him, and His will. “Having a heart that is perfect towards Him” - 1 Chronicles 3:16.
Also there are people in the Old Testament who had a heart perfect towards God, like king David but still sinned/ made mistakes big ones. But bc of his heart God still saw him as perfect. Bc He was always after Gods own heart- and bc God is gracious and merciful. That’s His nature and David knew and believed that. And we have to too.
We also shouldn’t purposely sin or plan to do bad knowing that God is merciful but instead strive (in righteousness- doing what is right in God’s sight). When we are righteous that’s also the perfection of God in our hearts… and that opens you up to even more of his mercy and grace (Hosea 10:12).
So God is Righteous. God is perfect. When we are Righteousness as He is, then we are perfect. Righteousness grants mercy for where we do fall short( bc it’s true that we will) since we still have this fallen body until we’re on the other side of eternity.

I recently made a video about Homosexuality, and a false prophet in the comments tried to attack me. I was scared that what he was saying was true but then he had said Jesus was transgender. And let me tell you I was so mad! All that blasphemy in one comment set me off. I carefully put together a comment and now I'm waiting for a response. Yes they’re back, they were down for a few months and as the Lord sanctified me and my desires, he told me to remove them. It was hard but I finally surrendered (not knowing he’d let me put them back in the future) and he allowed me to bring them back just in the past weeks as a way to testify of his development over time in me if anyone were to watch the videos from older to newer. 🩷🙏
