    Another nice video. A suggestion for next one: show us a little bit of post processing for products. I am curious how to improve the photograph before publishing. Thanks Laredo

    Ciao, Mr. Montoneri!
    I found your channel very interesting even when I didn't do proeuct photography. Now I got a job doing that and now I find the channel essential!
    I am strugling with flat lay. When photographing white clothes the background always is darker than the clothes. I was thinking if I lay down paper on top of transparent plexiglass and light from beneath. I saw some product tables advertised to do that so it makes sense even with flat lay. What do you thing about this, will it work?
    Thank you for the amazing videos! I really like your accent too!
    Cheers

      The background will always be a litte bit darker because is farter from the light compared to the product. Yes you can try with the back lit. Butnit depend what you are photographing and also pay many attention to the flares in the lens which may wash out the product

    I just found your channel and it’s very informative for a beginner like me! Thank you! I also have a question. What’s the best way to take product photos with reflective laminated surface? I don’t want a reflection on the laminated surface in order to show the design of the surface.

    • @LaredoMontoneri
      @LaredoMontoneri  3 года назад +1

      Hello Mayu. It depends. Mainly you should keep the reflection away so make sure that the light bounces away from the lens. Well not easy to explain in a text but try putting the light on the side of the camera no once it bounces on the surface it goes in the opposite direction of the lens

    Really like your explanation. I am struggling with these shadows thing a little. Working them in photoshop, but it is not the same. Reduces the quality((

    What light would you suggest as a second light if I have a godox ad600 pro ??

    • @LaredoMontoneri
      @LaredoMontoneri  3 года назад

      Another one if you can. Or Paul Buff digibee if you wanna spend less. It doesn’t matter what you choose. For sure having same brand helps for the accessories and versatility

    Wondering what the light level was for the key/main light. I heard you say fill was F11. Wondering if there was a ratio being targeted between the two lights or if it was just a difference in modifiers soft versus harsh light difference and both metered at F11. Nice video. Thank you, Sandy

      Hello, honestly I don’t remember. But I think in that case was more based on the final look.

      @@LaredoMontoneri thank you Laredo - I realize it’s hard to remember a setup from 10+ months ago. I used to do portraiture but yesterday I pulled out my Alien Bees equipment for shooting my own lace and fabric products. It was liberating not having people to photograph because with product you can spend more time fiddling trial and error style with the lights. Also I think the whole issue of light levels between main and fill is less since you’re not trying to enhance and at the same time hide. I almost ended up with a four light setup though because I felt the white drop needed it’s own two lights (like a high key portrait or fashion shoot) to get it white enough without over lighting the product. Still playing with this. Merry Christmas! Sandy

    how to take golden colour bottil with out reflexen ?

    • @LaredoMontoneri
      @LaredoMontoneri  3 года назад

      Avoiding reflection in a round shape is not easy actually not doable unless in photoshop, but what you can do is take advantage of it and use to create shape and give some light effect on the bottle. Some photographer use to place light in a product for example when shooting watches, where you can see line of lights created on purpose.
