Huge respect to you guys!! That is amazing footage!! For those of us afraid of heights, it gives us the ability to somewhat get a glimpse of how incredible that is. Thank you!
Great video! We hiked the same trail. Took us about eight hours to the Tunga and back to the parking lot. It rained all day and especially going down the wet and slippery wooden steps alongside the railroad tracks was pretty scary. But the views during the trail were great. Standing on the trolltunga and sitting down at the edge was ..........WOOAAAW. This was about nine years ago , there weren't as many people and no bridges across the water. Thanks for the video. Sent us down à very pleasant memory lane!
My cat literally just woke me up by playing this video on my phone. I don't even know how that's possible, but it's true! Looks like y'all had an amazing time; happy travels!
amazing video!! this is literally the best footage i've seen of someone actually sitting on the edge! amazing! hiking up trolltunga is actually like #1 on my life bucket list!
Very nice video, guys. Seems like you had great hike. Hope you had a nice stay in Norway. Just some tip on the way, for anyone inspired and that is planing to visit Norway, Hardanger, Odda and Trolltunga. Please, please be prepared for the trip and hike. You will be entering the Norwegian mountains and will be on the edge of the mighty Hardangervidda. This is raw, high altitude mountain wilderness, and you must respect the environments, otherwise you will end up injured or in worst case dead. You must respect the time of day, the time of year and the weather. Talk to some locals before you go; if they suggest you should not go because of the weather, or any other reason, don't go, wait to another day! Be prepared, wear proper shoes and clothes; it might be warm by the sea level in the fjords, but in the mountain it will be windy and possibly much colder, bring wind and water proof jacket and trouses, and absolutely good waterproof shoes. Bring enough proper food and enough to drink. And also, really, please people, don't walk on the cliff edges when you are wandering in the mountains. Unless you're a goat or a mountain expert climber then that's just plain stupid, if you fall there, death is the only escape, don't do it! Please visit this site for important information: www.visittrolltunga.com/en/trip-description And when you're allready in Hardanger, why not get to experience other fantastic sites in the region? Have a look here: goldenroutes.no/ Take care, be prepared, and happy hiking in beautiful Norway! :) Cheers!
This is an amazing hike and tough! We hike the same trip with our children of 12 and 9 last year. The oldest thought it went to slow up! My Dutch husband thought it was really tough!! My daughter was really demotivated on the way up, but as soon as we started our return, she sprinted the whole way back. All in all, our hiking trip took 8 hours, but we had only 10 minutes of waiting time to enter Trolltunga, there can be upto an hour waiting time.
excellent footage.... Trolltunga is one of the Hotspots on my 2016 Norway Tour. This Year I spend my time in Norway at the southern cost line up to Lysefjorden (Preikestolen). you've recorded some pretty nice impressions. thumbs up. :)
such amazing vid guys and stunning landscape!! .and too bad for the girl who died but everybody is responsable for their own actions..nobody to blame..
What a beautiful country. Every time i see footage or pictures of Norway and other northern European countries, i'm reminded of how vanilla America is, terrain-wise. It makes me a sad panda. :(
***** sorry but america is not "vanilla", it has almost all the terrains you could imagine, desert, mountain, grassland, forest etc. think about how dull living in England is.
Parabéns pelo belo local , mas ficamos sabendo aqui no Brasil que uma jovem morreu ae, por favor tenham mais cuidado meus jovens! abraços e fiquem com Deus!!!
This looks amazing! im looking into going there myself. What month did you guys go in? there doesn't seem to be snow at all. Also, did you guys take the railway tracks as a shortcut (genius :D ) or is that the actual way? Thanks!
MrAlawalo93 you want to go in summer when snow is less likely. there was parts of snow we walked past as it did snow a few days before we arrived.you can walk a different route than the tracks, but thats a part of the experience right?
Salty SLAYERS i was there 2 weeks ago. unfortunatly you can not take the tracks anymore (appareantly they have been washed away in some areas due to some heavy rainfalls or something). This means you have to take the hike (which is verry hard in the first kilometer). Nevertheless.. really really worth the 9-10hours hike!!
Great video guys! I am planning to do this hike end of july this year. I have sports shoes used for training. Would that work or do I need hiking boots for this hike?
BhaVesh J hello brother. We wore sport shoes and had bad weather at times. It certainly made it difficult and slippery at some stages. We certainly weren't prepared for the hike but managed to finish without problems. If I were to do it again I would wear hiking boots and pack weather proof clothing
Salil Kathuria begin your hike as early as possible. The lineup gets long very quickly if it is busy. Wear appropriate footwear for hiking, wear weatherproof clothing
@salty SLAYERS i've some questions: where did you start? i don't find any precise/complete guide about this trek :( . first of all i have to go to Odda ..then what? is there any indication for the hike path? in what month did you go there?and was cold , very cold or acceptable? i'm organizing a trip to trolltunga around the 23th of june, can you give me some advice
Nuclearcell during summer months is best my friend. There is lots of info on google as to where to start, you'll see plenty of signs once you get to the car park and all the way to the tongue, 11kms. Follow the tracks and more than likely people.
hey mate yes people are lining up.We did it on a weekend so presumably it was busier than a week day.People camp up in the alps to get early morning shots with no1 around. When we arrived we waited maybe 10 minutes? afterwards the lineup was about 45 minutes of standing in the rain.We were lucky to beat the rain resulting in good quality photos and footage whereas once it was raining there was fog everywhere and the view was compromised
Good morning, I'm the head of social video of www.fanpage.it (an italian online newspaper facebook.com/fanpage.it/). I'm very fascinated by Trolltunga and I would like to achieve a videosocial in Italian language about this amazing place, for Facebook and RUclips, because I think it could be interesting for all our readers. That's why I'm asking your permission to use your video in our editing, crediting you. Let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. Best regards.
I can't believe this vid hasn't gone viral! Fucking AMAZING footage! My palms are sweaty and my ankles hurt!
TwiSted SyStah thankyou :)

People are so stupid. Is it really worth risking your life to take a picture so that you can show everyone how cool you are for being there?
