In this episode of Amplified, the crew installs an iPad mini insto the dash of a Jeep Liberty. Rafa takes Doug on in a wrestling match. Rafa makes speaker spacers for a Dodge Ram. He installs some Polk Audio coaxiles and sound deadens the doors.

you guys need one more light for the interview scene setup. its called hair light. just get one more light and place it behind the subject to lit the shoulder and hair, so you dont look like a floating head :D cheers
some speakers have a big mounting depth and wont fit in the openeing becuase the back of the speaker hits the back of the door panel before it can fit flush in the hole. The spacers go between the speaker opening and the speaker so that it has more space and mounting depth allowing it to sit flush. Idk hard to explain on utube

@soundmancaraudio- I have a question about the ipad mini and what all the necessary wire and things to make it run? How is it connected to the deck?. How the sound quality is it softer or the same as if you where to play a cd and a song on the ipad mini?

Have you ever installed an ipad into a wrangler unlimited. I'm looking to install one on my JK. I'm going to use a lifeproof case to water proof it. Just need some ideas for the mounting.

I got an iPhone 5 and have an Apple Lightning cable, I just use a Belkin cigarette lighter charger for it as I have an old iPod nano for my music that uses the systems USB, anyway, with the ignition off and I connect the cable I get the sound and the phone charges, with the engine on and I connect the cable I don't get the charging sound but the battery logo states it's charging? Weird.
Now that you guys have this show goin on with Revision3 have you thought of maybe making the episodes 30 mins? or since theres no commercials possibly at least over 20 mins?

I think you use a JL CL-RLC line driver with remote. Not a HD-RLC like Jordan said...Right? Why does that poor Toyota in the background always get covered in over spray?

I have been following you guys on youtube for a while now, and I love the ipad installs but they are getting a little bit redundant. Can you please show us some more high-end audio installs, subs, boxes, mids / highs. I like to learn good methods for tuning and SQ, also like a good SPL setup, please show us more AUDIO like you guys did in earlier seasons. Keep up the good work, your shop is awesome!
I want to do this exact install on my pickup (different fascia) do you guys sell the iPad mini kits like this one still but for the new iPad minis? Like front bezel, tray and suede?. I tried finding it on your website but can't see it only the slide in kits which I don't want.. It all comes down to my state laws here in Australia to make it looked fixed and personally don't want a iPad mini flying at me if I have a head on collision.. That's why I hate the float mounts..

hm. that ipad install looks very temporary. I thought there would be fiberglassing...not just bondo. It would have looked better had it actually been glassed into the bezel, just my opinion though
