Depends on whether the game was sold with a dance mat or not. The left and right combos would be impossible on an nes controller, so we can assume it did come with a dance mat.
Dance Xtreme Prima really made me appreciate games like Hot Dance 2000, Street Dance and some of the other dance games more. Dance Xtreme Prima seems to run in the same engine and has some of the same songs, but a couple of new ones, specifically 5, 6, 7, 8 and the fact that it ACTUALLY has Boom Boom Dollar instead of mislabeling Bam Bam Bam as Boom Boom Dollar. However, let's compare the setlists of Dance Xtreme Prima and Hot Dance 2000. Dance Xtreme Prima claims to have 28 songs. Too bad a LOT of those songs are duplicated, with Boom Boom Dollar being refered to twice as Boom and Slump, 5 6 7 8 being used twice under the names 5678 and Litter, and Dub I Dub being used THREE TIMES under the names Boom (again), Dub and Muslcle D. Ironically, Street Dance has bit-crush renditions of all three of these songs, as well as Boys and Butterfly, which also got at least one repeat in Dance Xtreme Prima, and while Street Dance also duplicates songs, Street Dance is at least honest. Typically, the duplicates in Street Dance are harder versions of songs, and it doesn't matter which version of 5 6 7 8 you select from the list of songs in Street Dance, the game still calls each version of 5 6 7 8 "Bad Wei." Not to mention, the fact that Street Dance uses bit crushes instead of recreating the songs with the NES sound chip, the songs take up more memory, meaning Street Dance has an excuse for it's low number of songs, and in Street Dance's defense, the original DDR only had 9 songs where Street Dance had 12. Meanwhile, Hot Dance 2000 boasts a rather impressive 33 songs (of varying quality) AAAAAND they are all unique. No duplicates. This really renders Dance Xtreme Prima's fake 28 songs completely atrocious and, honestly, jarring AF. A game like Dance Xtreme Prima really does make you appreciate Hot Dance 2000 that much more. Also, Hot Dance 2000 has a pretty diverse soundtrack, including some DDR songs, some 50s song and it even features an 8-bit version of Highway Star, beating Elite Beat Agents to the punch when it comes to "Dance Game that features Highway Star in its setlist." Granted, it's not a very good 8-bit version of Highway Star. Heck, it barely resembles Highway Star, but still. So far, I've seen quite a few of these dance bootlegs, including Hot Dance 2000, Street Dance, GLK Dance, Dance Masters 3, American Idol Twin Dancer, American Idol Dance Showdown, etc. Dance Xtreme Prima is the ONLY one I've seen basically lie about it's song count.
WRONG!!! The game is an engrish game, known on the box as Dance Performance TV. The game was a dance mat with games in it. It had such wierd text on it, saying it was a "Professional Dancing Machine" and it "Great Dance Simulation Using Your Feet!" How about you "Show Me Your Dance!"?
Wow, I have a version of this on a dance pad. It also had Nintendo's Pinball and whack a mole. It was a twin dance pad. If you dance too much, the emulator screws up and the graphics go to hell. 2 players are fun though!
Switch the Up and Down arrow, put in songs that were created at THAT time era, not AFTER. -_- It's weird looking at songs like those (Dub I Dub, Butterfly, Boys) in a NES. :P The creator was a noob.
una vez en casa de mi abuelo encontré en una de las habitaciones (donde antes dormía un primo que ya se había casado) una consola pirata y traía este juego... nunca entendí como jugarlo
Looks like D-Pad Hero with more songs. When the hell was this even made? When I see a term like "pirate" I assume it's some obscure game made by the chinese... something absolutely screwed up like Super Mario on the Genesis, or "Squirrel King" which is like a bastardized Chip n Dale.
The 8-bit rendition of "Beat It" sounds awesome!
gotta love that AWSUM title/loading screen
no, it's BUTTER FLY
Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only person here who knows and really likes "Wa". This cheap 8-bit rendition was great, haha.
Can anyone guess the tune playing on the title screen?
Well, in Japan they DID have a real licensed DDR on the gameboy color. No idea why. It was about the same with better more consistent graphics.
The best thing about this is the song! YEAH! XD

"boo" lol
I think I've seen this game somewhere at middle school long time before.
C'mon guys. Is at least 3 times better programmed than the majority of pirated NES games, don't you think? :P

Oh My God... looking at the listing.. FAME?!

8 bit beat it.... HELL YES
cool michael jacksons song on nes pirate!!!1!!!
I got a dance carpet with this rom!
as in, that's how the game spells it :P
They spelled Perfect wrong. I'm surprised I caught it...
I hate in the knock-off games how they always have the Up and Down arrows backwards.
8-bit Michael Jackson is awesome!
i know wa and beat it haha i love both song
@ZombiePizzaGuy1
No idea where he got it but I know it's in GoodNES 3.14.
So where's the dance?
EPIC 8 BIT!
WRONG!!!

How about you "Show Me Your Dance!"?
HELL YEAH, beat it!
yeah but on a controller
It is impossible to do a left-right combination or an up-down one either
Ristar the Shooting Star on a controller, of course. But I think there were some dancing pads
I've actually seen this game In a Store with a Dance Pad, even!
>_
Yhis game actually looks partly cool so just BEAT IT!!
My FCEU won't play this game. What emulator do you use?
I'm sorry but is the first song JUST BEAT IT???!!!
Wow, I have a version of this on a dance pad. It also had Nintendo's Pinball and whack a mole. It was a twin dance pad. If you dance too much, the emulator screws up and the graphics go to hell. 2 players are fun though!
@AegisAnother But I wondered if they were thinking of "Follow the Sun" like I thought of "Follow the Sun." Isn't that the Beatles?!?!
That's Butterfly by Smile.dk
PREFECT
DDR NES edition. :P
You should've picked Highway Star.
Konami must have slapped their butts for trying to take DDR, correct? Heck, it happened to Castlevania! xD
This is just on a emulator, right? It'd be scary yet interesting to find this at a flea market.
I liked the intro song
Could you use the powermat? lol
YEAHHH!!! BEAT IT ;)

Where did you get the rom?
una vez en casa de mi abuelo encontré en una de las habitaciones (donde antes dormía un primo que ya se había casado) una consola pirata y traía este juego... nunca entendí como jugarlo
Prefect?
Who's ass-backwards idea was THIS?
No, seriously, why would this exist for any reason other than to confuse the hell out of everyone?
well they did rip mj :S
omfg wow thats just weird

I actually have this. And as you would guess, it sucks.
Seconded.
u have to be really fast.
