I remember fall of 1996 hearing "Sarah," on "This are Moon Ska 2," that a friend at my college radio station gave me and I was hooked. I picked up "Better late than never," and went to see them at a dive bar in the beginning of 1997. I've been a fan since.
Wife and I saw them in December 2021 in Sacramento. Great show! I hadn't seen them live in about 15 years, when they opened for Rancid at the Warfield, and they're even better live than I remember.
Love you guys, glad to see ya up and running. Hope to see you in Los Angeles soon. I watched the Kxlu interview and was cracking up about the specially made coutier mask Hilliard got 😂 boy that is love right there. Cheers.
Their best work was all before 2010. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Their first 4 albums were really original, stuff you could listen to again and again. The rest since then, this set included, has been almost completely forgettable junk I can't imagine ever wanting to hear again (except for Married Girl from the 1997 album Redlight). Also, it's pretty dumb of Vic to describe the third tune in the set as a "rocksteady" rhythm, when it's nothing of the sort. That's reggae, the pace is way too slow for rocksteady. Vic knows better, I don't know why he'd say that.
Just saw them today at the Getty 25 celebration in flipping Wilmington and they’re better than when I saw them the first time 22 years ago at Chain Rxn in Anaheim!
They've been killing it for over 30 years, shit is insane.

Vic is going to wind up a legend.
going to? he already is one
Personal opinion, sound mix needs more treble to bring out the brightness of the horns/vox. Great presentation and talent, amazing band 🎉
🎷🦖
Real ska for real rudeboys!
I love this band but this video sounds like it was recorded with a potato. Rolling stone sucks and should just let KEXP give us good sounding shows.
