- Guardian fish can only be caught under specific conditions at charge levels 6 and 7 and they can only be caught once.
They will not be kept as an item, but are recorded in the Fishing Log on the Bookshelf and are necessary for the Caught the Guardians achievement.
You may need to use the blessed rod to catch warmwater catfish, charge up to level six. It's work for me.

Accessible in winter. The cave in the middle of the lake that gets frozen for accessibility. It’s on the 9th floor.

Does the Carp require 200 of a single size of fish or 200 total? I'm seriously thinking it's the former, because I have well over 200 total fish shipped, though not 200 of any one size, and it *Just. Is. Not. Appearing.*
I've already caught every other guardian and they ALL appeared in about 5 casts, but I've spent DAYS doing almost nothing but fish for the carp and it is nowhere to be found, so I feel that I MUST be missing its condition somehow.

Sure.. I think for some reason it's really hard to catch king fish, in my case I am nearly give up when try to catch coelacanth (underground lake) and hotspring catfish, but finally I catch all of them.. and I hope you can catch all of them too, I wish you luck!

How do we go to the underground lake?
You can go to underground lake on winter, go to the lake mine and on the floor 19 there will be a cave, go to that cave, and that is underground lake

Why do you need to throw the guardian fish after catching?
It's automatically, your character can't keep the legendary fish
