  • In the video I talk about how Travelers Tower in Hartford, CT was built in four phases (I: 1906-1907; II: 1912-1913; III:1919: IV: 1925-1927) and the buildings that it replaced, including the two former Aetna Insurance Company buildings that were demolished in the 1960s to make way for the plaza south of the tower.
The William H. Thompson photograph of the Putnam Building, Hartford City Gas Company Building and the Universalist Church's commercial buildings is from the Connecticut State Library, PG 430, Thompson Photographs of Hartford

Your content is always superb. I particularly am grateful for the ‘morphing squares’ you use to outline things in the old photos, as well as the arrows employed to point things out. These are most helpful!

I moved away from Hartford back in 1993 but your videos peak my interest of my hometown and what it was and what it became. Thank you for taking the time to make these.

Fantastic! Well done, and the tidbit about the relocated stable to Lebanon was very interesting! Thank you!
