I just did my first overnight/backpacking trip to this area. I brought out an entire bag of trash from my site as well as two others I stopped to check out. What I couldn't carry out was a recliner!! Who does that?? Ugh! I also found a smoldering fire and used the remaining water I had with me to make sure it was out. I certainly want to return here. I, like you, hope others will clean up their own sites and if so inclined, do as you did and check other sites as well. I would hate to think we could face the loss of such a beautiful area due to the disregard of a few.
We hate it when people leave a mess like this. Unfortunately it is happening more and more. Some camp sites are being closed just because people are so trashy. It's so sad that people are this lazy. Can you tell I feel very strongly about this. 😊 Lynn and Danny
I would bet my last dollar that mess was left by a homeless van life drifter. The whole homeless living in a car or van has caused havoc everywhere and a trail of garbage behind it.
It's a crying shame that we have to share the planet with people like this. Good job cleaning up. You've earned a gold star from me. ⭐

I know, that’s why I filmed it and cleaned it up.. too many site are now gone forever.

Certainly a possibility, however we don’t see a lot of van lifers, bus lifers or drifters in this area though. But it can’t be ruled out I suppose.
