The card Charlie mentions at 21:10 actually has a crazy backstory ruclips.net/video/gqSsj0WTtfo/видео.html The Menendez brothers (pictured in the back of the Mark Jackson card) murdered their parents and tried to cover it up. They initially weren't suspects in the murder and received their parents life-insurance money & assets after they passed away. One of the first things they used this money on was to buy court-side seats to a knicks game. And just out of pure coincidence, the game they decided to go to (on the dime of their parents via their life insurance money), was the game that would be used for Mark Jacksons NBA rookie card.

I have been collecting Jordan cards for 25 years. I can assure you the 1990 fleer Jordan card is $10. The listing you saw was "sold" multiple times. Graded versions of the card sell anywhere from $20-$300 depending on the grade. You are not looking up the cards correctly. You have to look at sold listings where there are multiple bids from a reputable sellers listing. Nice collection regardless!
Yeah, all those super "high" auctions for cards. Those are all fake listings. That 90's Fleer Jordan card was MASS printed. Its maybe a $10 card raw. Just a thought (doubt you will ever see this) but the valuable cards are most likely the ones that aren't near the binder rings. I'd imagine the binder rings can damage the cards if you aren't careful, old mate probably would have put fillers there to aviod damaging the good ones.

It’s all during the wax pack boom of the late 80’s early 90’s. There were SOOO much printed, almost nothing really has value. The fact that they’ve been in binder sleeves for 30 years, doubt anything will be gem mint 10.

I'd be careful about the prices you are referencing in these videos. Awesome stuff from the 90s, but most auctions I saw you referencing are either faked sales, or graded sales that wouldn't be realistic for the card you have's condition. The 1990 Fleer Jordan you referenced at a $6,000 raw comp, sells for around $350 as a PSA 10. I sold many raw for around $10-15 each a few months back. Just something to think about when diving into the card collectables. But regardless, great content as always!
The price of football, basketball, baseball cards, comics and a lot of other collectibles have shot up in price over the last year or so. I used to collect Shaquille O'Neal rookie cards and I know for a fact some of those in the binder are worth a couple grand.
yeah earlier this year I realized some of my cards were over $100 and that a friend had gotten rid of beta cards years ago... and that I had been buying cards in 1995 as a 9 year old and thinking that dual lands were stupid for being worth $20 and it wasn't worth it to buy a foil charizard from a friend for $10
Binders full of MTG cards would be something worth looking at. I knew when they were pulling these cards out of the locker he had whiffed...this video of him displaying his complete ignorance was just more amusement.
I can give you an idea of the actual value. I broke it down in another comment, but altogether $3-$5k. The range is because we don't know what we didn't see, but is estimated based on how many unseen things were left and the value of what was seen. He could maybe get twice that amount with a huge time investment, but it would not be worth the time honestly. Unfortunately the cards are near worthless, the Rolex is fake, but some of the other collectibles have some value. That is according to people in the comments that claim to know more about them than I. On the other hand there are a lot of fake "experts" claiming the worthless cards have real value, and the Rolex is real, so it could be the other collectibles I don't know as much about are also worth very little, in which case Charlie straight up lost money, except that he made a bundle on views.
Nonono, you need to tell people it is worthless, wait for some idiot to tell you it is not and you are wrong, then offer to sell it to him for $100, or 10 for $800, and see if he will go for it. You never know, you might be able to make yourself a fat paycheck.
I can appraise it from what I have seen. The collection all together is probably worth about $1000, but as a reseller I would not pay more than $100 for it, because it would take too much time to make any profit.
I don't even care about sports cards and this video is still very interesting. One day I would love to find a storage unit filled with D&D collectable stuff. That would be amazing.

The card Charlie mentions at 21:10 actually has a crazy backstory ruclips.net/video/gqSsj0WTtfo/видео.html
The Menendez brothers (pictured in the back of the Mark Jackson card) murdered their parents and tried to cover it up.
Holy shit it took me a bit to think of where I remembered the family name from. A horrible crime :(

Bro, sorry for all the bots in your comment
I have been collecting Jordan cards for 25 years. I can assure you the 1990 fleer Jordan card is $10. The listing you saw was "sold" multiple times. Graded versions of the card sell anywhere from $20-$300 depending on the grade. You are not looking up the cards correctly. You have to look at sold listings where there are multiple bids from a reputable sellers listing. Nice collection regardless!
Hilarious ain't it...they always assume the highest sale iswhat they will get for their dinged up junk. Oh this is a 10, couldn't be anything else lol

None of the cards in this video are actually worth big money. The jordan he showed that sold for 6300 also sold in a psa 8 for 120. Great video! My favorite part was when MJ walked in and said "That's me!" Wow, what a video!
Would charlie likely earn his money back just on the cards? then if the rollex is real he's made a good profit.
The price of football, basketball, baseball cards, comics and a lot of other collectibles have shot up in price over the last year or so. I used to collect Shaquille O'Neal rookie cards and I know for a fact some of those in the binder are worth a couple grand.

If it had been Magic cards, and someone told me "I need help, look at them" I would be out of my mind exited. Unloading 21 years of MTG experience.
yeah earlier this year I realized some of my cards were over $100 and that a friend had gotten rid of beta cards years ago... and that I had been buying cards in 1995 as a 9 year old and thinking that dual lands were stupid for being worth $20 and it wasn't worth it to buy a foil charizard from a friend for $10
Binders full of MTG cards would be something worth looking at. I knew when they were pulling these cards out of the locker he had whiffed...this video of him displaying his complete ignorance was just more amusement.
What a perfect curator, charlie will show all and give us an idea of what really was in there and how much it actually was worth
