can we address the fact that music and film shouldnt be used to make people feel like their lives are meaningless. These are images. places, people. YOU are images, places, and people. You didn't miss out. (see FOMO). you are the thing. you are worth more than these images and art. you are more powerful and important and worth respecting, not some art that makes you feel insignificant. as far as im concerned art is is magic and its wonderful, as is good company, good food, but there's a black magic to making people feel worse than before and especailly without them having an idea of what is happening. Current Joys is awesome but his music is incredibly heartsick and coupled with this type of nostalgia, it is sick and cruel to lay on some teenager who doesnt have a concept of scale of temporal distance and variety and freedom. i'm 34 and ive learned that anything you have that makes you sad. whether it be a disfigurement or a lack of status, money or a girlfriend/boyfriend or just friends in general... it is nothing compared to your right here, right now attitude. or sense of humor and very real feelings and thoughts. you are the real thing. not some idea of adventure. you can create anything and should create something or do something, but only if you feel like it or want to, not out of being compelled by some deficiency of being comparable . and for some aspect of coping against a feeling. address the fact that something is subtracting the good of being encouraged in a good way. and its an illusion... i think this kind of of stuff is like taunting or mocking. so much of social media is this death dance to mime real life and parade it against introverted people who for real kill themseleves based on a false premise that they were losers and the art (artifices, no coincidence; "artificial") was more real than them. you can believe yourself into anything. you can also believe yourself into an early grave. and music and images like this are compounding the self-negation. fuck that. its cool for nick and the kids who got inspired to road trip. this is just for the people who are cruising the internet music and finding song after song, in the algorithmic doom . you are loved, dont forget and dont wallow. or if you need to dont be afraid of losing anything but dignity get up, and realize its happening all around you. and you give it life by witnessing it. its yours. and this too, "Being is all you need be, its okay just to sit and be." sincerely yours, the stranger

i’m 16 right now and everything feels like it’s going too fast; that i’m missing out on it all. but it’s weird because through it all i’m constantly reminded of this comment. i read this about a year ago and it really really stuck with me. i come back to it every few months and it brings me some sort of artificial comfort. being is indeed all you need to be.
