Good video lance I'm glad you did a non hard water perch vid. Always been a fish that I wasn't sure how to target without somebody telling me where they were biting. Would sometimes hook one by chance, but could never duplicate for a bag of candy.

I think if a guy spent some time chasing the perch it would be easier to get on bites consistently. I just don do it enough.

Great video with two great channels. Is pool 9 lansing/harpers ferry iowa area?

Really enjoy your videos. I'm getting up there in age and am not as mobile as I was. I lived in LaCrosse in the late 70s, had so much fun ice fishing! It's my favorite fishing time. This is off topic but where do you get your Smelly Jelly? What is your favorite scent? Thanks again for sharing your experiences, the river keeps changing and with a lol the pressure it receives, it's an amazing resource. Your wife is a real keeper!

Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate it! I usually buy my Smelly Jelly online from Cabelas or Bass Pro. My favorite scent is Baitfish Glow. My wife is a great life partner and a blast to fish with!

You definitely figured out the GIANTS fast for someone who doesn't normally fish them open water! lol We will 100% have to do the Jumbo Perch Ice thing as I might be able to keep up with you!

Let’s do it! Finding them is the hard part, catching is easy!

This time of year, do you recommend Ferryville or Genoa up near the damn?

I don't have a lot of experience at either of those dams but I can say that all the lock and dams should start seeing more and more fish as the water cools.

Thank you so much! My trolling motor is a 80lb 24 volt Minnkota Terrova. I love fishing with my wife but can’t always make it out with me. She is a very busy woman.

You know the latest trend of fishing videos are catch clean cooks! I want to see how a river master eats his fish! I've seen a majority of your videos lets crack into that realm!
