    As a trader I can relate with this guy. He fundamentally know his stuff. He know how to trade technically but what destroy him was greed. He probably do not pay attention to the risk to reward ratio. I wish him all the best in life. God will bless you.

      what is a risk to reward ratio?

    • @donokoro
      @donokoro 6 лет назад

      @@Harihar_Patel This ratio is calculated mathematically by dividing the amount the individual stands to lose if the price of an asset moves in the unexpected direction (therisk) by the amount of profit the trader expects to have made when the position is closed the reward.

      @@maxwellacquah3539 I agree with you. It is sad what happened to man. Trading is a risky business. Always dealing with probability.

    So true my brother, the word is more compound complex, so, innovation leads to inspiration and risk takers are entrepreneurs. The power of alliance to achieve one's goal is vital.

    As long as profit motive exists the notion of a what he calls a social contract is a lofty idea with no takers. The solution for bank traders like Adoboli is to trade within the risk parameters set by the industry and stand by your personal convictions. Not possible? Walk away. Regardless of what they are told, Bank traders will always be scapegoated because they’re the ones pulling the trigger. To survive the game, they cannot think like pawns they are.

    He is too young to understand life, by the time he gets 40 years, then he will understand what life is about.
    You can't be gambling a whole lot of huge money without taking or asking directions from the senior management. He could have been a president in Ghana one day, but now I'm sorry he is going to carry it like a stone on his neck.

    And maybe you need to understand that he was charged with looking after other people’s money. And be lost it. Which bit of that don’t you understand. And he was tried not by public opinion but by a jury and was found guilty. Any thing else is just an excuse.

      Prudent care/Due diligence/Due Care is the ultimate responsibility of Management! It's management's fiducial responsibility to the customers and clients of the Bank. KweKu and other traders were given free reign with the mandate to be profitable at all cost. This was the beginning of the end, although, as individuals we ought to exercise judgement regardless of what our environment tells us. He is indeed a brilliant man and I have no doubts the world is still going to learn alot through and from him.

      Nonsense! If you have followed the story at all, you would know he was a really valuable employee because of his intelligence. He was encouraged to take risks by the very people who eventually threw him under the bus.
