Such a moving, tender and deep sorority between Ted and Claudia, I like campy shade afterwards when Alexis gets into Dynasty but I also miss the quality of these dialogues which are unbelievle for those times on tv, I only found it later in Dawson's Creek, Transparent and so on. Thanks a lot for this video and the people who get the point of so much beauty, unforgettable scene.
Yes, Season 1 is a favorite of mine too. Thoughtful exchanges between the characters. I do like Season 2 a little more - I think it has the best balance of all the Seasons but this 1 is quite close!
Very mature writing, very introspective, very careful performances by the actors, brilliant direction, a subtle step forward for television ... why did we suddenly veer from this kind of intelligence and plunge into mindless camp for the rest of the decade? I don't blame the producers of DYNASTY for wanting their show to be popular, and they rode the crest of popular opinion and milked it for all it was worth ... my queries are directed at us, at society ... why were we more striving to be more enlightened, progressive, sensible in the late 70s and seemingly taking that into a whole new decade in the early 80s and then - BANG! - dumped it all along the side of the road in favor of a wild ride filled with instant gratification and glamourous sensationalism?

I like this scene. As Dynasty progressed, you would never have a scene with rivals like this! It would typically become a bitchy exchange.
Ted Dinard. One of the most tragic characters in TV history. Dies in the first 1/2 of the 1st season. Twice...
Dynasty's first season was a serious and thoughtful drama... shame it crumbled into a camp-fest later on.

Ted truly loved Steven
It's funny because if this were any other season, They would be catfighting by the end. 😅
Yep. I was thinking that too
...I saw Ted Dinard on a Barnaby Jones rerun last night.
This show was excittung
