why? batteries are harmless. i believe to have learned that those liquids inside batteries react with air humidity into salt before they can do any harm. and i can wipe liquids from freshly leaked batteries without any itch. acids are seldomly as harmful as shown in hollywood :D
The author was using carbon zinc batteries, not akaline batterys. (I looked up Sony Ultra Battery on the Internet). Anyway, the construction of Akaline Batteries is different, and probably won't work for this purpose. Plus, I believe these were AA batteries, not AAA batteries. (Bigger, thus easier to cut open). Just an FYI if you want to duplicate this experiment.
Where did h he say he was using Alkaline batteries?? Unnecessary advice!

You are also correct about the title being +AAA Batts but it's +AA's he works with in the video.
I used graphite rods from dead batteries as electrodes for a arc lamp that I made, powered by a 24V 1000W transformer. Also useful for spot welding. Another use was power resistors/potentiometers with low inductance and high power dissipation. Also good for use as electrodes in electrolysis because they are not attacked by the solution like metal electrodes are corroded.
how do you spotweld with this?

Aloe vera is a biological material. Any idea if it will "spoil" or become contaminated by bacteria, etc? I don't use carbon zinc batteries, so I won't be doing any of this.
This is great for a science experiment. But in practicality, it's an awful lot of work and procurement of parts for a tiny bit of electricity.
Nothing wrong with that,this is the kind of thing fathers can do with their kids in the home or garage to teach them how stuff works..
For the allo Vera part do you just mix it or you added some water?

How long the bottle battery would last to run the clock?
I was gonna ask the same thing. If I had an aloe plant I'd run some of these and find out. Most plants give off some juice, I experimented with lemons in school, and 3 ran an alarm clock. I know even apples and potatoes got electricity in them, though it was elementary school and the point of my experiment was just to see if the lemons worked, I never tested for exact length of use or for exact voltage etc.
@@myspacemodulator i did a potato clock it lasted over 2 months i did have to move the the copper plated steel nail around the potato after about 15 days did a lime clock to but it dried out kinda fast think it was old to start with
