Ensuring Access to Health for Afghan and Host Communities in Pakistan

  • With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, The Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, IOM Pakistan emergency health teams are ensuring access to life-saving primary healthcare services to respond to the immediate health needs of vulnerable Afghans and host communities in Pakistan.
    To date, IOM emergency health teams have conducted 17,395 sessions for mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), reached 42,128 individuals through health education and promotion activities, and conducted 144,110 consultations for communicable and non-communicable diseases, child health, immunization, and nutrition screenings.
