- Before any shimming this is what you get with the TT02BR. I ordered the yeah racing front hubs and knuckles along with the Tamiya TT-02B Stainless Steel Shafts & Support Bridge 54820 and 54752 TT02 steering set. This parts along with some TRB shims from Amazon should get everything in order.
I just built one and same story, so after ordering a hopped up kit now it needs another $20 in shims. Oh well...
After building my Trf 420x kit that cost 1k and then building an Xpress kit that cost $150 I sold the TRF and bought a boat. The xpress has zero slop and went together perfectly.
So i don’t have a tt02br but I’m actually a few parts away from one.
The slop is in a few places. The wheels, hubs, and arms need to be shimmed.
The plastic steering needs to be replaced with what’s on the car next to it. Lastly the BIG thing is the stock servo saver. Needs to be the same as the car on the right.
The ball connectors Matter. The blue anodized ones have a ton of slop, the brass ones are tighter fitting.
one last thing....make sure the servo you are using does not have any play.
Was this after a few runs or did you just build it?
Right after I built it. I shimmed everything right afterwards but it’s still unacceptable since it’s not a cheap kit.
Thats weird. i just built one last week and it's not like this. was going to try and bring it to a carpet track next week@@FEboats
Oh nice. My included tto2 br bearings and the srx bearings were junk. I had to buy new bearings and shim both of them. I have 2 srx’s they both had tons of play in the bearings that were included.
I am doing speed runs with my srx now . its up to 78MPH, I just subscribed@@FEboats
