It’s got a nice brushless servo in it now, still handles like crap but it goes straight.

There isn’t a way to see battery voltage but you could get a “lipo alarm” to put on the battery to alert you. And yes you need to buy another part to shoot water. I’m running a 3s 2200 spektrum 30c pack from one of my airplanes and I’ve been doing rescues for weeks and it’s still above 70%.

6s only thing changed is esc and prop in this video. Boat got into the 80’s with this setup.

I actually ran a motley crew as a p limited racer when they first came out. Setup with ul-1 motor and rudder. Swapped to a leopard motor later. I’ll post some old videos of it soon.

After building my Trf 420x kit that cost 1k and then building an Xpress kit that cost $150 I sold the TRF and bought a boat. The xpress has zero slop and went together perfectly.

Yeah, it’s way faster gonna have trouble keeping it on the water.

I’ve never had issue. I’m worried about the rocks just below the surface though. Haven’t walked across the bridge to see where they are since I was a kid though.

@@FEboats There are some REALLY shallow spots, especially around the big rock at the northeast corner. I've noticed some big rocks near shore as the water cleared up.

@@600bubba that’s awesome! That’s a lot of $$ but it is what it is. It’s a lot better than the newer rtr’s. Mine mostly sits on the shelf next to my UL-19.

It’s a lot better with the Firma 120. The bj24v2 handles terrible but it goes straight nicely. I’ve got another esc going in mine today.

Yes the stock motor handles 6s no problem. Motor is under 110 after these runs. I did make the holes bigger for the water lines in the hull with a body reamer though so they aren’t pinched down.

@@dxfisher I hope you like it. A 2200 is a little hot for 6s if you’re doing more than running it like I am. Just watch temps until you’re sure it’s running good and safe. Mine has stayed nice and cool.

Ran it today temps were really good I do not really run it super hard Man a appreciate your in put I’m coming over for Rc helicopters And this is way different

Working on it. Stripped servo and blow over in saltwater ended my day early. New esc going in this weekend.

I’m having a lot of fun with mine. For straight line speed I love it so far.

It has a Spektrum Firma 120 esc everything else is stock including the prop. Already did a prop swap I’ll have the video up later.

It’s makes a big difference in handling but loses speed. Went from 56 to 51 with the same prop. I can carve turns full throttle now though.

It’s a lot nicer than the v1, actually way nicer. Gotta see how it runs later today to see if it actually runs better than the v1 though.
