See those blue pliers you have, you can tighten your drill with them. Also the bras can be covered with either with clear nail varnish or that clear liquid sculpey that you seem to not want to use 🤔
I loved this! I started playing with polymer clay as a young teen but kind of moved on to other projects as the years went on. I was so excited to recently learn it's made a comeback. I can't wait to try these new techniques and make some updated earrings of my own!
😍😍😍 Hello Kristin!!! Once again I loved your video!! You have magic in your hands!!! Thank you for teaching me so well!!! Have a blessed day!!! A hug!!!🥰🥰👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌈🌈🌈🍀🍀
Thank you Kelci, you made this tutorial easy to understand. I am not new to poly clay, although have never made jewelry and have so much to learn. All good things to you Kelci. I will keep my eye out for you and your good and helpful tips. Bye for now, Dorothy in Canada
Hey, it's good to see that even the experts have to start over on occasion. This one was pretty fun, too, though I loved the skulls and roses. Thanks, again. And, yes on the resin.
Your resin finish looks absolutely perfect I wish I could get mine like that. It just doesn't set properly and end up dusty. Anyway looking forward to the video. This one was great.
@@RaisingNobles I'm having a similar problem - I've wondered if it's the humidity here in NorthTX, or just my lack of skill, so I look forward to Kelci's tutorial.
Just my opinion here but you are basically ruining the jump rings by opening them the way that's shown here. You're supposed to open them by grasping one end flat toward you and "swinging" the other end away from you. The reasoning is two-fold: one is because you can then easily preserve the integrity of your jump ring and get a tight fitting close on your jump ring without having to squeeze the opposite ends forward to face each other again which rarely gets a good close fit. Secondly, the metal is bending and unbending which can lead to it being bent out of shape which then no longer works and must be discarded or it will cause breakage as the metal "work hardens."
I’m glad you mentioned this because I was going to do the same. I just wanted to add that pulling the jump ring apart actually compromises the integrity of the metal and therefore it weakens it and can break. The earrings came out very pretty 😊
Loved this Kelci, thanks. Question, I checked out your etsy shop and love the white flower clay earrings, where did you get the cutter from? I so have been looking for that particular flower cutter. Thanks :)
I love this tutorial. Do you know a place to buy the ball gold color post for the earring that are hypoallergenic and don't tarnish really? I got some from michaels and turned withing 6 hours of wearing😔
michaels doesn't have good quality earring findings. are you in our "all things clay earrings" facebook group? We have tons of suggestions for those things in there
If you had a professional nail file. You can control the speed of the Dremel type sander. Plus you can reverse the sanding process. Just an fyi may help any newbies. I'm new to clay art. I have both. Also I have a vacuum that nail techs work over help control some of the dust. My nails bit the dust when I hit menopause. So it has new life in my craft room.
Beautiful and exactly the video I was looking for. The only question I have is.... I didn't see you conditioning the clay before chopping and freezing etc. Do you not need to do that because you chopped n mixed n chopped some more?? Thank you. Love this technique ❤️
I always do it before. The clay doesn't deform or shrunk in the oven so it's easier to make the hôtes before baking, no need to drill holes, you can just use a poker
Hello, I really enjoy your videos... the jewelry that you make is absolutely beautiful! I have a question, would you recommend Fimo Soft for jewelry making? Thank you in advance and keep up with the great work!
Yes! But not all paints are compatible with certain brands of polymer clay. It’s a trial and error thing. If they’re not compatible then the paint will never really dry and it’ll stay sticky and be a mess. I use folk art and apple barrel brands but have also heard recommendations for liquidtex heavy body paint!
Mam can you please suggest from where we can those crystal and stones jewellery you were added to the polymer clay earrings...im from india.pls help me
It’s listed in the description! For fast US shipping I buy from maverlydesigns.com and for more affordable prices (but longer shipping time) I buy from MrRui on Etsy!
Thank you so much for your video of step by step! One thing I heard was baking it at 275 for 40 mins. Is there a reason to bake for 40 mins? I ask because I typically bake mine for 15 mins. Second question, do you typically drill your hole after baking or before?
Baking time depends on the thickness of your clay. Mine are on the thicker side so I just do 40 minutes to make sure they’re completely cured! As long as your oven is set to the right temp and it doesn’t spike, you won’t burn them no matter how long you keep them in there for. I hope that makes sense! If 15 minutes works for you and they’re durable and flexible then that’s fine! I also drill my hole after I bake them.
Yes please, I would like to see how you do the UV resin.
absolutely
Rather than opening the J ring by pulling them wide open as you did try try bypassing the ends sideways. You will get less distortion of the J ring.
Came to make the same comment
Yeah, opening the jump ring the way she does is sure to make the ring weaker. She has excellent taste, though.
Definitely one of the better videos I’ve watched on clay earrings.

Absolutely correct. 👌
Thanks for this! I tot I was wrong all my life until you corrected this. 🥰
Do you have an example of how to open the rings this way? Thank you!
Loved this Kelci, thanks. Question, I checked out your etsy shop and love the white flower clay earrings, where did you get the cutter from? I so have been looking for that particular flower cutter. Thanks :)

I would love a video on UV resin. I am really struggling with it. Love the color of these pieces..
The video is up now!
what store did you buy the diamante charms from they are so adorable!

The clay does need to be conditioned first, always
Just wondering, do you resin the side & the back of the earrings? TIA
Awesome tutorial Kelci thank you 😊💗
Thanks for watching!!
Where do you find the beautiful accessories?

Hi! Where I get my charms is listed in the description box!! I will definitely be making a resin video next!
Yes resin tutorial is coming soon from Kelci!
Those are beautiful! 😍 Thank you guys for sharing! 🥰
Why not poke holes before hardening or baking
you can
I always do it before. The clay doesn't deform or shrunk in the oven so it's easier to make the hôtes before baking, no need to drill holes, you can just use a poker
I would love to see how you put resin on your pieces.
We have that video up on the channel
these are beautifuuuuuulll whos watching this in 20/11/2021???
thank you!
Amazing job...i just want to ask where can i find the long shape cutter please?
thank you! i'm not sure, let me ask Kelci
Hi! Great video! Did you use a transparent Liquid Sculpey or White Liquid Sculpey?
i'm not sure, i'll ask her!
Great video. 👍🏼Does anyone know of any good alternatives for resin?
Polycrylic
Love these! Thank you for the video! Would love to see a resin video please.
You got it! Kelci agreed to make one and we will have it up soon for you guys! 💛💛
Hello, the video is great and easy to understand. Is the base regular white clay or translucent clay?
The base was white clay!
Just followed you! Thank you both for all you’re doing!
Awesome! Thank you!
How did the finished pieces get o shiny??
UV resin!
can liquid clay be used with air-dry clay?
Yes I would love a resin video.
for sure! be on the look out for it coming soon! 😍
Hello, I really enjoy your videos... the jewelry that you make is absolutely beautiful! I have a question, would you recommend Fimo Soft for jewelry making? Thank you in advance and keep up with the great work!
thanks for watching! we don't recommend fimo clays - sculpey premo or sculpey souffle are the best
Where is the best place to purchase jewlery brass charms & connecting pieces in wholesale quantities?
So much talent , thank you for sharing it 🤗
thay are so pretty
So beautiful! I love the extra pizazz you add to them! I would love to see the resin process. Do you have a video link?
no resin tutorial yet - working on it!

please let me know where you get your charms. Thank you. I would also like to see the UR Resin video

One question: when you put the resin on, do you cover the borders too?
just right up to the edges
@@RaisingNobles Thank you!
Super awesome! Thank you so much!!
You're very welcome!
Loved this!!!
Kelci is incredibly talented!
Mam can you please suggest from where we can those crystal and stones jewellery you were added to the polymer clay earrings...im from india.pls help me
I'm looking for the links that Kelci mentioned.
Just curious why you don’t poke the holes for your rings prior to the baking. You cut out your centers ok, so why not set your ring holes too?
Thank you. Good ideas
Thank youuuu!❤❤❤
What setting do you use on the clay conditioner/pasta machine? I’m struggling with getting the right height for them. Awesome video!!!
The thickest setting on my machine
The reason your jump ring bent like that is because of how you opened it. You are supposed to open the way that you dont so it doesnt ruin the ring.
thanks for the tip!
Hi, where do you buy those beautiful embellishments?
It’s listed in the description! For fast US shipping I buy from maverlydesigns.com and for more affordable prices (but longer shipping time) I buy from MrRui on Etsy!
do you dip your earrings in epoxy?
May I ask what the other clay she uses that sticks better without using the liquid clay??
Sculpey soufflé!

Thank you for showing us this
Whatelse can we use instead of liquid polymer clay? Since it is not available where I live
i'm not sure about that - we've only used liquid clay
