VR Gorilla is an Amsterdam based virtual reality production studio. We aim to create the most immersive, enthralling experiences imaginable. We want to give you new experiences and take you places you have never been. We want to tell stories like you’ve never seen and heard them before. We want to share with you our dreams.
We make 360° video productions that are perfected to be experienced in high end VR headsets (like Gear VR and Oculus) as well as Cardboard and RUclips/Facebook 360. Our background as filmmakers give us the advantage of knowing how to tell a story and really captivate your audience. Obviously te rules are different in VR but still there is much that we gain from having this experience.

Nice job. I'm curious : when you film in the streets (or in general), do you setup your camera around eye level to get the most realistic look in VR ? Thanks.

Hi Francis, we find that it doesn't work well to always film on the same level. Eye level is different for each person and often your subject will be shorter or taller than you ;). We find it works best to shoot on the subject's level. No matter if it's an object or person; as a viewer you are most engaged if you level with whatever you're shooting. Hope this helps!

Thank you for very much for the quick reply. I've been thinking about switching my style of production to VR content lately. Since I got myself a VR headset and started to watch your work, I realize that it is so much more immersive compared to regular video. Looks like an interesting challenge to me. I will continue watching your content, you are doing a great job. Thanks again :)

Doing that fishes feeding on your feet thing is actually not a good thing to do. They give some substance on the skin is not good for us.

It is so rare it's not even worth mentioning. Sure if you got it done all the time on a regular basis something might happen but for most people it's a once in a lifetime type thing to experience. I did it in Siem Reep around the same time this was filmed and absolutely no problem.
