When I was teaching i got tons of hugs every day. Now that I'm retired, I didn't know how much those hugs helped my mental health. Hug someone every chance you get.
Hello! As someone who has been a caregiver to a spouse with a lot of unknowns and major health issues- I appreciate what you said about how it changes you. I remember being behind the ambulance one morning, following my husband, while everyone else around me was going about their normal day. It is such an isolating feeling. I know that we are not the same from what we have gone through, but I appreciate that I am not the same in how I love, show empathy, and care for those around me. I think God allows us to see things most people miss and allows us to speak love and life in those hurting. The best description I have ever heard about empathy comes from Brene Brown on Empathy. If you search that, it is about a 3 min video and so worth the 3 mins. Hugs to you and prayers for your sweet family! ❤
My mother inlaw wasn't a hugging person when I met her but I turned her into one at least for her and I . I so miss her and hugging her she passed away 3 years ago. I just happened to call my sister yesterday and her husband was having surgery and she had her granddaughter with her and she asked me if I could take her I said of course so I got some niece time I hadn't had that in awhile was so good to to spend time with my niece ❤
Your piano playing was moving! I can hear your heart being poured into it: I played the piano for many hours after my older sister passed away at 17, it was my only safe place for a long time!
I love instrumental hymns, I'd love it if you included your piano playing in your videos more often! Praying for your son and family! Btw, you outfit today was so pretty!
Something to remember is if you don't graciously accept kind gestures and offers to help, you are robbing someone of being a blessing to you. And that might be the thing that would have made their day better. That thought has helped me as I am used to being the one helping and it was hard for me to acknowledge that I could use help.
How I love “l’ll Fly Away.” My granddaughter sang it, a capella, at my daughter’s funeral six years ago. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it, but it comforts & assures me that my daughter is in heaven. And I know that I will be with her for eternity. Thank you.
I hear ya about letting friends help. I'm going through breast cancer treatment. I've been feeling pretty good so I've been saying no to offers for help. But I recently let a friend bring dinner over. It felt so good to be pampered and taken care of. Hugs to you and prayers for Fletcher.
We prayed for Fletcher on Monday night. ☺️🙏 It's so funny that you talked about being a hugger. I literally talked about that the other day. I'm definitely a hugger. It changes people when you hug them. 🫂Another great video, Megan. Blessings to you and your family 💕
The number one thing I learned from my grandmother is when someone wants to give you a gift, you take it. I consider offers for help in the gift category. I try to say yes as much as I can because it blesses other people.
I needed this! I’ve inwardly (and outwardly) had so much pride in having almost zero childcare (military family). The last 3 weeks I’ve had to rely on my friend so much for childcare (a few hours a week, more than ever before ha) and it’s an incredibly uncomfortable feeling and lesson in humility.
@@MeganFoxUnlocked thank you! I actually had to hire out help for childcare this afternoon, just for an hour, and this mindset shift from your video really helped me feel zero guilt about it! My kids had a great time and I got my work done in peace!
Megan, i grew up Amish and completely without hugs. This past May 20th (literally on Pentecost Day we discovered later) when i finally allowed my (also ex-amish) youth pastor give me my first hug ever, i surrendered my life to Jesus, in our embrace! It’s crazy, because we’d been connecting since last September, and then after the length of almost an entire pregnancy i was Born Again in, now my “dad’s” arms - and a mother can’t even catch her own baby (very well) but the dad can, how crazy! Since then i find hugs very powerful as well! Hugs to you!
A friend, her mom, & her daughter cleaned our house while I was in the hospital for a mastectomy. It was such a huge blessing to come home to heal in a clean house. It was such a generous, loving thing. And hugs are my favorite. We give them freely & as often as is possible. 💜
Megan, I have been watching you for a long time and I just have to say that you are looking prettier by the year! Perhaps it is your motherhood vibes. I retired from teaching 40+ years of middle school and have recently started going through totes of memories and pictures and my grandsons were shocked that the "pretty young woman" in the pictures with students was their Grammy! I know that someday your grandchildren are going to see these videos and it will be heartwarming to hear from them what we are seeing today. I love watching and look forward to the days your videos drop. Thank you so much for including us!❤
Please know that I am praying for your family. My sister and her family have gone through something identical to yours. Community/family is everything during this time! I’m so grateful you have that! On a side note, I absolutely LOVE when you play the piano! I could listen for hours! It brings back sweet memories of my papa playing when I was a little girl. ❤
1 so many prayers to you and your family and your little one. 2 oh my the way you described how home making as mundane tasks that they are but will make a huge difference in your mind, heart and home 💛
Lovely video Megan! I think it is so important to focus on positive things and planning is a great way to do that even if those plans don’t always work out. One thing I have learnt dealing with my son’s health conditions is that it is still possible to live well even with hard things to deal with and less than perfect conditions. Thanks for putting out encouraging material to cheer us all up! 🤗 ps So sorry to hear about Rio by the way, so sad. I hope you are all doing ok 🙏 I keep praying for Fletcher. I hope he is doing well on his current medication 💙
First of all, I am so sorry to hear about your son. Your last video put me to tears. We have been in a difficult season with my health and the news just isn’t getting better. It is so hard but your videos are helping and very relatable to what our family has going on right now. I appreciate you sharing this difficult season and I am so sorry your family is experiencing this ❤ praying for you all. You are so strong. It is so hard as a homemaker to accept help from others. The mom guilt has been so hard but you are right.. it can make such a difference. A lot of emotions come with it. I’m experiencing this now as well, so thank you for talking about it ❤
Hi Megan, lifting your family up in prayer. You’re such a good mother Megan and wife. If I were there I would give you a huge hug and a boost of peacefulness ❤🙏🏻🌺🥰
Seeing a snippet of your children playing church with their congregation of stuffies touched my heart so deeply and it was so lovely to see you play the piano; I’m sure it was therapy for you and it also ministered to your family. I grew up in the home of a piano player and hearing Dad play every night after supper is my favourite childhood memory, bar none. I’m so pleased for you that you have a strong support network and that you’re accepting their loving help. Their ministry blesses you and it blesses them to be used like that! Hugs and prayers from Canada! 🇨🇦
I am someone who has always been self-reliant and had to learn to accept help sometimes. One thing I learned through this struggle is that people who offer genuinely want to give, especially when they know that there’s a lot on your plate.
Been watching your channel for several years now. I started back when you had “two under two”-2 kids under the age of 2. I am praying for your family & I look forward to the future when these challenges are behind you. You are doing a great job taking it day by day & trusting in God.
Been watching for a couple years now and this one was one of my favorite videos yet! 🎉 LOVED the piano playing and how relatable and honest you are, Megan! Praying for and with you!! ❤
Thank you for covering the name of the seasoning! I so much appreciate the quality of your content and that it’s a place I don’t have to be on guard and possibly see something i don’t want to 🙏🏼
Been waiting along time for some piano playing again!!! Love it so very much. You can add alittle of that playing any time!!! Praying things are going better, seizures are the worst!! Prayers!!
I’m praying for your family, Megan. I’m a nurse and had to take care of children with seizure disorders. Please let me know if you need anything! 💕 to you and your sweet family!
I needed that verse today - thank you for sharing it! I will pray for you and please pray for our house too. So much sickness right now and my anxiety is through the roof. Thank you for reminding me of the good around us!
I just lost my husband this week after an extended illness. I too, had to learn to say yes. Yes to the food, yes to the errands, yes to the paper goods, and YES TO THE HUGS♥️♥️♥️. I’m glad you figured this out. Praying for Fletcher.
You need to be kind to yourself and remember that you are so kind and loving and people love you and your family and want to show their love through giving what they can to ease your burden now that your suffering My love to you all ❤️
I recently bought a planner from you for my daughter to take to her first year of University. She loved how if she doesn't use it for a few weeks, she can pick it back up again!
I have always had a hard time accepting help I recently learned that when you allow others to help they are receiving God blessings too! He is watching over us 🙏for you guys ❤
Thank you so much for all that you shared in this video and....the honesty about the hard, the calm in carrying on with the daily little things you can control, all while learning to trust God.❤ You truly are a light amidst ❤
I so enjoy your videos! I always leave feeling inspired, encouraged, & entertained. You're doing such a beautiful job for your family & viewers! Continuing to pray for comfort and peace at this time. God Bless!
I was so excited when you mentioned the Goods store, I love that place it’s my favorite store!!! One stop shop it’s amazing, absolutely love getting my sewing stuff there such reasonable prices for fabric!
Just imagine that nearly all people's clothes before say the 1930s was hand sewed at home. That's some real talent. On a side note I'm sorry to hear about your dog passing away. Thank you for this video. Me and my husbands finances took a turn recently and we had to accept some help. It was the biggest swing on my pride, but my mom has reminded me to take some time to reflect on my stumbles pray my daughter will never understand and pray that God sees us through it bc he always will. hey girl- love the video!😁 That food looks amazing! Praying for the family🥰 You are so loved Megan. We all love you😘 Always enjoy seeing the kiddos to. Y'all have a blessed weekend😀
Thank you for playing the piano. It was wonderful to hear. We continue to pray for you and your family. Our God is good all the time and an ever present help in all our needs.
Such a good vlog! So many different things happening! Your cooking looks so yummy as usual! Loved Vonnie’s dress! And now I find out you can play piano! Wow! You’re ‘on it’!
Bless your sweet heart Megan. I've been praying for Fletcher. I've been praying for your nephew also. I will pray for you and Josh more. You accept the help! You deprive them of blessings when you don't let them. Nothing like friends and church family. Like you said, you will look at things differently. I could not make it without my Heavenly Father. Time is short! Enjoy every moment. Love your sweet family Megan.
Beautiful video and the food segments, sewing, and piano was just perfect! Prayers for you and the family as you travel this sensitive time and I know the grace of God will bless you and calm your fears. I thank the Lord each day for modern medicine as we also have times of medical issues. Love the dress with the lace added for the new school year. Just precious. Your children are all so very gorgeous and those big blue eyes just are precious. Keep up the good work mom and with time, calm will reappear to your everyday and life will be a new "normal" for you. Blessings to all ...........again, I Loved the piano........just beautiful and a perfect closure to a busy day.
Megan I am praying for your little boy. I can't even imagine how you and Josh feel. I know you are closer to Philadelphia, but Pittsburgh has a WONDERFUL children's hospital which I highly recommend. We had my little boy there when he was sick. They were so wonderful there, very thorough and got to the bottom of it quickly.
When you were talking about not having support and/or being on good terms with family hit home. Unfortunately I've reached out and tried to mend that relationship with my mom and my sister. At this point I've left it in God's hands.
Pick your tomatos when they blush and put them in a brown paper bag roll down the top for about 2 to a few days and theyll be bright red for you keeps the bugs and birds from getting at them
You are doing a wonderful job at life as always, even under this stress, be kind to yourself & remember to take care of yourself girl❤ Also try the Arby's sauce on your avocado toast! I used it since I didn't have Sriracha like you use and we all love it now!
You're so relatable. Thinking of you and your family. Our daughter has had a seizure where she had to be life flighted before and it was the scariest time of our lives. Seizures are so unpredictable and scary. Hope you get some answers!❤️
Hello Megan; Great tips and sharing... Thanks for taking the time... Nice to see the family and how busy all are this summer (and growing... wow!) Enjoyed the music throughout sooooo much! Take care Hugs to all Linda in Canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I love crafting and I am really into crocheting lately. In less than a month I have made over 32 scraves, and 3 blankets. I really feel accomplished.
You should feel accomplished! Well done!
Sometimes if someone isn’t a hugger, just a quick squeeze of the arm or hand conveys caring.
