I remember hearing an interview with Thom York where he said they originally recorded Video Tape with all of the instruments, but after playing with the mix decided they liked the emotionality of the more stripped down version heard on the album.
I know all about the syncopation in this, if I want to, i can hear the whole song syncopated, or not. But I PREFER to hear it straight, until the drum reveals it as syncopated at "...my way of saying goodbye". I think that's how you're meant to hear it.
Except that this demonstrates that in the "straight" version the piano is actually syncopated. The down beats are missing in the album version except for the reveal.
This is a recreation of the live Bonaroo version which is amazing that somebody did that. Love that version
Thank you Chris. I have all my remixes available for free on my website www.pawel-osmolski.com/radiohead-remixes/ Glad you enjoyed it!
Just when I thought I couldn't love this song more. 👍👍👍
