TBH if that fuse is for injector and pump control when disabled it probably still releases pressure either way but you are right regardless, it is better to let the car sit a day or 2 before installing something like this.
Great video! And everyone installing flex tune, make sure you have the right tune and right mods as Diego states in the description or you may have a bad time lmao
No such thing as a dumb question! So the sensor is meant for quick connects so it shouldn’t ever leak.. only place I can see it leaking from are the oetiker clamps if not clamped down and tightened correctly
i am only considering going stage 1 so i can easily flash back to to stock. I am undecided which stage 1 tune set up is less trouble to maintain or less hassle .
If you’re looking to retain all stock pretty much than stage 1 91 or 93 is your best bet.. if you have e85 local to you, then I recommend the stage 1 e30 tune as it makes about the same power as stage 2 93
@@DArias yeah i got plenty of e85 here in CA. i just have the basik bolt ons intake, inlet elbow, muffler delete thats it. yeah if i can easily flash back from e30 for state emissions here in CA would be great. yeah i think some close numbers comparing stage 2 to stage 1 e30 i want the highest output for stage 1 for that matter.
Hey Henry, question on the tune Stage 2 on e30 how much horsepower and torque are you making? Want to run stage 2 e30 but just want to know the power thank you!
What’s up man? So tbh I’m not 100% sure I absolutely wanna get it on the dyno to see but assuming it’s around 400whp and torque if I had to make a guess ! Haha at least the butt dyno tells me that.. if you joint the EQT page on Facebook, you’ll see many people running mid to high 11s on their e30 tune
No sir. These cars can safely run full e85 with just a HPFP upgrade and safely run e30 on all stock fuel system. They do sell upgrade fuel lines etc but not everyone does it. These cars run pretty well as is and granted I don’t run e30 every tank anyways. Now if you do then it would be a good idea to get upgraded lines
Soo on the gti and a3 that same fuse is a 15 that 100% does this. Now with the s3/golf r, ive had people give me mixed answers where that fuse works for relieving pressure the same way. Pull the fuse start the car and let it die on its own. Others have told me that it won’t do it. My best recommendation is try letting the car sit for like a day so almost all the pressure leaves the system. If you see in my video, the car sat a few days and I didn’t even get a hiss when I pulled the hose off
Do you think going full e85 would affect reliability over a stage 2 91? Someone told me it actually might be better than 91 because there is less knock. If i do go e85, the fuel pumps and injectors is all i need right?
E85 is actually great being you make some much more power and yes your friend is correct that there is virtually no knock with e85. Not sure which MQB car you have but you can get awY with full e85 with an upgraded HPFP internal. If you decide to do mpi then you would need an upgraded lpfp. Stock injectors can handle ethanol no issues
My wrx made 410whp on e85 including catless downpipe TGV EGR deletes. I’m looking into the S3 and my question is how much hp can you make on E85 and what’s the max % of mix you can run ? My wrx with stock injectors would run a e74mix. Would run a 11.7sec in the 1/4 mile. What would you think the S3 can run and e30 mix is a 3.5G of E85 so is it really worth it can you run more ? Or do you need upgrade the block ? Or can you run e55mix what’s the limit
Ok soooo on the stock fuel system these cars are capable of e30 no issues.. all you need to run full e85 in these cars is a HPFP internla and you’re good to go! These cars are great with power multiple people on vortex xl turbos making 550whp safely with no issues
The max torque these cars like is like 420-430 all that number.. once you start laying more torque down the car will be at its limit.. but where these cars shine is their top end when you do a turbo upgrade
@@DArias that’s really impressive numbers with a turbo upgraded wrx limt was 500whp on block but wouldn’t last long. I’m pushing more towards the S3 hopefully to make good power how much PSI stock turbo pushes from the S3?
@@DArias I had AEM340LPH fuel pump for the wrx no issues what fuel pump would I have to run on the S3 or what kinda injectors? Thanks for the big help really pushing me towards the S3
I'm new to the E85 in audi/vw coming from Subie's the flex fuel kit was different. We had to add a sensor and fuel pump along with rails and injectors. What else would you need besides the sensor to run e85 in your tune? Would you need to change the internals of your HPFP? Or add a better fuel pump from Walbro? Aside from that this video was so useful. Hope to see more liked and subbed ^_^
So for out cars it’s actually simple to run full E. Obviously on stock pumps we can run e30 with no issues what so ever .. now for full e85 all you need is to change the HPFP internal! That’s it. Once you do that fill up with E and no worries. The injectors, lines, rails etc can handle it no problems
Thank you! And yes I can’t stress enough that for things like this you need the right mods and right tuning so the far runs as strong as possible
Great video man! Easy install straight to the point and a must have if you’re gonna run flex
Thank you! And it absolutely is you’re mixing because too much E and you can hurt things and too little will have the tune out of wack
What other mods do you need to install on the s3 before running e85? Is it just this kit and a proper tune?
Great video Diego!
Thank you!
The quick connects you don’t think will leak? Feel like clamps straight to the sensor would be better? Maybe a dumb comment lmao
No such thing as a dumb question! So the sensor is meant for quick connects so it shouldn’t ever leak.. only place I can see it leaking from are the oetiker clamps if not clamped down and tightened correctly
By connecting straight to the battery will drain your battery while car is turned off.
Guess I’ve been lucky then haven’t had an issue in the 6 months I’ve had it installed so far
Great video again as always. Also no matter what I would personally allow the car to sit for a day or 2 as well before installing just in case.

I like your Christmas tree
I like yours 😜
How much ethanol are you running? also how much can these cars take on stock HPFP and LPFP?
So I’ve been between e28-e32 max.. if I’m not mistaken these pumps can handle up to e40 max but not a great idea to max the pumps out for no reason

doesn't it need bigger injectors. Isnt there more oem fuel lines down the back of the car. e85 eats fuel lines not designed for e85
@@DArias if I were going e85 id be getting bigger injectors and change all the lines and then a custom tune. Do the job right once.
Great video as always Diego! How Much E can you run on your setup right now?
Thank you! And I run between e28-e32 max
there's a subscription service for this? i downloaded the app for free....
No subscription service for it

Is it necessary to tune the car? im considering this because gas prices are absurd and e85 is cheaper. where to get the tune ?

Does your cars fan stay on for a while after you turn off ur car during warm days?
Yes lol especially after a spirited drive and it’s 10000% normal nothing to worry about
What kind of plyers did you buy at Lowe’s? Have to do the same, just ordered my kit
They’re called oetiker pliers. Special for clamps like this

This is why German engineering is the best
So this is just fuel quality meter. Not an truen flexfuel kit...
Essentially yes. The name of the product though is “fuel it flex fuel kit” which is why it’s titled that way
First
You absolutely are! You’re goated
$4.99 for the app?!?! NOWAY lol just kidding small price to pay for an easy to use sensor
Yeah I don’t mind the extra $5 at that point lol I mean the kit is $300+ so another $5 isn’t anything lol
