Found my dusty 30 year old stash of Wolfgang LP's, cleaned them up nowplaying them and they are SO good. I am wondering if this song is where my love started? I have no idea when or how it did too many good times.
Bird Wood Cage and this single from that album should have made this band huge. Sadly it didn't. More the pity. But I did see them blow Pixes off the stage in Sheffield back in '89. Great gig.
4AD didn't like the ways these fellows behaved! A bit naughty, it would seem. When I was a lot younger, I loved the early darker albums. The song "Shut That Door" just blew me away. Saw that one live on their Queer tour. I still love the albums Queer & Funky Little Demons. Kansas is probably their most popular track. Makes sense to me. This was a seriously good band! 4AD used to be so cool back in the eighties. I think they just wear suits & ties & disable YT uploads these days (-;
