Ridiculous that there is no MD or WD at the Olympics. Literally 100 medals available in swimming and can’t have an obvious extra 2 for table tennis?!

It’s ridiculous when I saw most of comments are “Bad decision or Bad news or Dissapointed choice…”. Maybe they have blinded love with Ma Long !?? I remind that he is a legend ! And a legend doesn’t need to prove anything ! He is enjoyable when playing and it’s not matter he wins or loses OK ! Although he has just won WTT Ma Cao, It doesn’t mean he can be a 3rd Olympic champion for men’s singles title ! Otherwise, WCG and FZD are deserved for winning the first time Olympic coz of their best performances at this time. Ma Long’s ages and styles aren’t competitive against the youngers really !! Even me, a big fan of Ma Long can say that it’s beautiful when seeing him still playing to memorize the golden age…what an invincible killer !
Finally found a logically response. I absolutely hate it when these fans kept finding excuses and justifications to why Ma Long should play. Like every Chinese player fought in hard to win the Olympic place and Ma Long simply didn't make the cut with his average performance throughout the last 2 years but then he should magically be granted the slot because he is a GOAT? Like how ridiculous is that?
Ma Long age definitely the biggest factor why he couldn't execute his forehand mastery like before. It sad that he now has to utilize different techniques and play style to subdue his younger opponents. Even dragon has its golden years i guess.
is not one person decision, is several coaches decision, that Ma Long should not play single olympics. Not only considering single titles wins, I am sure is overall state of Ma Long, too unstable now I think, either wins a title, completely loss 0-3 it is R32 ! with a very bad score. And Jang woojin is not even consider a challenging opponent. I also think last time Zhendong didn't get to win Olympics because of Ma Long, coaches decides to gives Zhendong a chance.

FZD is getting washed out. He lost to Patrick today and 3 non-Chinese players and Zhou Qihao in just 2 months. They should have totally picked Ma Long over FZD because he has the mentality to make it to the top. He only lost to Jang Woojin cuz Jang is trained to win against the Chinese. The reason his ranking is so low is because he plays badly against Europeans. They're forgetting that Jang also beat Wang Chuqin not too long ago.
At least FZD never lost to foreign team in the finals. ML lost in the final to LYJ from Chinese Taipei in Frankfurt 2023.

Lol yes, another fanboys trying to find excuses to ML. This is why you cannot have an objective opinion post-game and you kinda ruin the joy of the sport... If you want that just gtfo to football ngl. Jang Woojin stomped Gauzy 4-0 in the World Cup, Félix 4-1 and beat Jorgic 3-2. You honestly don't know what you're talking about. And WCQ beat Woojin back 4-0 in the World Cup at Macao before that. It's honestly balanced. You cannot accept the fact there are underrated players.
@@OphisRenne I mean I get that Jang is a good player, that's literally my point (he used to be top 10). All I was trying to say was that they should have sent in Ma Long instead of FZD because FZD's on a down hill slope especially against non-asains. He lost to Hugo and Patrick in just a 2 month span. They should have atleast let the previous champion defend his title. I mean, Ma Long is still probably going for Teams event but I wanted to see him for the singles event. 😭
@@dongiovanni8899 Yea, but ML demolished him in Incheon just a month ago. Also, FZD might have not lost to foreigners in the finals but that's cuz he couldn't even make it to finals 😅. He lost to Lin Shidong, Hugo, and Patrick all recently and you can see that he's getting slower and making more unforced errors.
I don't think fan zhendong deserves it at all. Imo, there are 3 players that deserve it more, those being lin shidong, liang jinkun, and ma long. Fan has been losing to several foreign players, while ma long only lost to very few and one of those is not even competing. Same with lin shidong, he only lost to timo, and dang qiu, which was 5 months ago, and the other players he's been dominating. And liang jinkun, well, is the last place for me, and very close, but even he performed better than fan zhendong.
don't worry, Lin shidong will take part in the next Olympic, now he still has left much to be desired for his lack of experience.
LSD has only 2 years professional international experience. LJK lost to Anton Källberg 2 times in a row. FZD never lost to foreign players more than one in a row each. At least FZD never lost to foreign team in the finals. ML lost in the final to LYJ from Chinese Taipei in Frankfurt 2023.
@@dongiovanni8899 That's because fan didn't get to the finals in the first place. He was kicked out in the round of 32 or 16 ( I don't I saw it live in frankfurt but I forgot) by lee sangsu.
