So, let me get this straight. You are fighting a Russian Tsar who has altered his body to be like a saber-toothed tiger and a mammoth combined, who has also gained power comparable to a God, who is riding around in a giant magical electric mammoth, all the while Mozart's angsty rival is playing some cool tunes in his piano, and the mythical shirtless Beowulf and one of the greatest swordsmen of Japan turned waifu AND a mythical female greek warrior turned catgirl in berserk mode are all fighting alongside you and your harem of legends in a post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland where everyone turned into furries. Fate is truly magical guys.
Legit. The lead up to this song was brilliant. Salieri at first tried to play like Mozart, but was like "Shit... I can't play like him...". And then was like "YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK MOZART! AND FUCK YOU! I'M PLAYING MY OWN ANGRY SHIT!!!" And let this loose. It was fucking epic, but still funny to me.
Everyone shall take a moment to appreciate the fact that Antonio put so much rage and hatred in this piece that it interfered with the Tsar's determination, yet it's still so beautiful and melodious. Truly Mozart's friend.
@@mrman6035 Not really. Salieri is just a big pile of regrets and self-hatred. Even as an avenger whose sole existence is based around the false rumor that he is Mozart's Killer he still considers Mozart a genius blessed by god and holds him in the highest regard. And he's ashamed he's only capable of even getting close to him by "angrily ramming his fingers against the keys".
In real life they weren't as much antagonistic with other as the game seems to imply. Both were equally famous in life and at the end of their carreers they collaborated hard. Salieri even taught Mozart's son after he passed away
@@KaoKacique The thing is, Salieri doesn't hate him like that. It's the "Innocent Monster" skill that makes him forcefully hate him. @BySam it also makes a lot of painful sense in which the world sees Gilles De Rais, of which was recently revealed within the modern era that he was simply a victim of the nobles at the time who wanted his land and fortune, because he was a prime supporter of Jeanne d'Arc whom they already summarily executed under judgement of fire as a 'witch'. Saileris story in fgo was actually based of a non factual play on Mozart’s life, with Salieri as the narrator. The movie version of this play was quite nice.
I believe that for this fight, all Servants who come with a NP that changes the music should be outright banned. ... which admittedly would have hurt me a lot, since Shiki is the best assassin I got.
I didn't have to use Shiki, but I'd be out of my mind to send my Thot Slaying Daughteru out first to fight Manny's Russian descendant. She can clean up the mess after Shiki and the Support Mochizuki I brought take off a bar or two.
Ohh man I wish you had a King Hassan or at least borrowed a support KH for the Ivan boss fights. This soundtrack plus the eerie wind howl and the tolling of the evening bell from his NP make the fights EPIC.
While the original feels like a righteous wrathful god, this perfectly displays the anger of a living person. The first fifteen seconds or so always give me chills
The two of them together are better than either of them apart could ever be - the rage of a man who lived in the shadow of the one loved by God. A brilliant pianist, but not brilliant enough - condemned to live in his rival’s shadow. Even in death, his name is a footnote in the story of Mozart, cast as a villain.
If nothing else, this track gives you a great reason to keep the musician Servants around. Sure, they might not be great in a fight themselves, but they can absolutely play some amazing tunes for you as you kick ass.
When this was still playing over the loading screen I was like "Oh shit it's the battle theme for this fight I'm hyped" Then I saw Ivan and I was just shocked at how amazing that fight was gonna be
...It should be an option to turn off the music-changes that certain NP's do. I love Emiya's theme but holy shit this is some sexy piano music right here
Imagine if instead of the usual chant of UBW EMIYA used this instead: Day of wrath and doom Impending, David's words with Sibyl's blending, Heaven and Earth in ashes ending. Oh what fear man's bosom rendeth, when from heaven the Judge descendeth, on whose sentence all dependeth. Wondrous sound the trumpet flingeth, through earth's sepulchers it ringeth, All before the Throne in bringeth. From the dust of earth returning: man for judgement must prepare him. Spare O God, in mercy spare him. Lord all-pitying, Jesus blest, Grant them thine eternal rest. Amen Atziluth: Du-sollst――Dies irae!
And then perhaps Robin Hood joins in with: Vast is the sea, its waves reaching horizons far and wide; eternal is the radiance of its azure womb. And so let us ride this moment and dash forth, swift as light, quick as a star eternal. Hear my plea, and grant this one wish: the world longs for an era of peace; days that know not strife. In a world where only peace is lord, and men join hands in liberty… Allow me to sing but this, Halt, O time, for thou art fair beyond measure. I wish upon your unending star - guide me to heights unknown! Atziluth: Res Novae - Also Sprach Zarathustra!
Then what? Another Robin saying... Et arma et verba vulnerant. Et arma Fortuna amicos conciliat inopia amicos probat Exempla Levis est fortuna id cito reposcit quod dedit Non solum fortuna ipsa est caeca sed etiam eos caecos facit quos semper adiuvat Misce stultitiam consiliis brevem dulce est desipere in loc Ede bibe lude post mortem nulla voluptas Atziluth ―― "Vive Memor Mortis ― Acta est fabula!"
...when I heard this song for the first time, the pure *emotion* dripping from every note made me shudder. Now, as someone who just started the Russian Lostbelt, I can’t wait to hear this in-game. It’s so beautiful, yet so very clearly driven by rage and pain and hatred. I do so enjoy Avenger-class Servants, for their stories and their personality. It’s a lot of fun, seeing what can happen when hatred runs rampant. Although...what usually ends up happening is some form of self-loathing that often leads to either them lashing out (like J’Alter) or closing off (like Dantès). I’m excited to learn more about Salieri and how his hatred influences his interactions with others. EDIT 2 DAYS LATER: Just finished the Lostbelt. I can’t believe how well they did the scene where he starts playing. He sounds so...well, hatred-fueled, but also in pain. His message of “I’m not good enough, I’m not you! I’ll never be good enough because I’ll never be you!” really...hurt. I just loved Salieri in general. He was great in this Lostbelt. When he started playing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” at the end, I legitimately started crying. He looked so...at peace. So yeah, whenever I’m doing work for school online, Imma be listenin’ to this.
I wish I could fight Ivan the Terrible one more time just to revel in the moment it sounds so incredible. This song really speaks to the heart “Anger, Pain, Sadness, and Despair” It’s all amalgamated together into making this work of musical art.
@@bruceasiandude8979 Sorry, I meant more like "The first Lostbelt is here!!!" I also just wanted to reply to the comment, not necessarily just you. I can't wait for Salieri's rate-up, though.
Salieri was a Genus Master of composing and is still played on occasions on modern Classical Stations. He would still be known today without Mozart. He was just cursed to have to deal with one of the GOATS of composers a Super Genus. Not going to pick just one GOAT of Top masters.
I'm so glad that my fight with Ivan was dual phased... first Izo, Yan, and Jack shredded through the first two bars, then got nuked on an off turn. good thing I brought my stall team for the backline! Jeanne, Mash(, and Wu for damage. She didn't last long.) made the fight last 30 turns!
Salieri: "Listen well, Ivan the Terrible! Yaga of grief, and of anger! For a long time you have been doing the pruning, but now, it is your turn to be cut away! You may be livid, but your anger is misplaced! You supped the blood of hundreds...thousands of Demonic Beasts in order to gain that enormous body! For countless years, you have used your power for cruelty and tyranny! You let your Oprichniki roam free, killing Yaga after Yaga for untold generations! You say everything you did was to survive. But even so... ...your existence now is nothing more than a monument to sin!"
If any of you have watched movies like X2: X-Men United, you've heard this piece. It's the one when Nightcrawler assaults the White House. Blanking on other examples where this shows up, but pretty damn sure it's common enough that you guys have definitely heard it before
reyonXIII The song is part of a church mass song called Requiem. The part is called Dies Irae and this rendition is by Mozart. Now you know what the song is called. :)
Small Eyes don't worry, i know what it's called. Second part of the Requiem, specifically. That was just for thise who don't know at all, though thanks anyway for the further info. Next most commonly known part of Mozart's Requiem is the eighth part, Lacrimosa
Meanwhile me: D U S O L L S T, D I E S I R A E Maybe I don't have Reinhard Eugen Tristan Heydritch "Mephistopheles" Lancer/Ruler or Cagliostro/Mercurius Caster/Foreigner, but I have Antonio Salieri.
Joseph Katzen Go for EMIYA, the same V.A, just as GAR. Not to mention, Reality Marble in some aspects, could be considered a "tonned down" version of "Atziluth". As for the Snake of Mercury. We don't have snake, but we have poisonous Weed in the form of Robin Hood.
It was around 1:40am when I was playing to this part in the story. When I heard the music started playing and all the characters we’re getting hyped up for the fight I was too. Then when the battle started and I heard the music was still playing I GOT HYPE!!! I screamed/cheered and my brother checked up on me like what’s going on and I’m like “LETS FUCKING GO!!!!” and let the awesome music play while fighting Ivan. Then my brother rolled his eyes and laughed and walked away. This one of the best boss battle musics I’ve ever heard!
Was it just me or someone else also brought EMIYA (Shirou) to this fight just to hear Junichi Suwabe's voice under this magnificent BGM? A seiyu joke, btw.
Rafael Sampaio Junichi Suwabe (EMIYA) was the V.A of Heydrich. And his letmotif was Mephistopheles, a remix version of "Dies Irae". And his "Atziluth" was also called Du Sollst - Dies Irae. Toriumi Kousuke (Robin) was the Voice actor of Mercurius (And Ren Fuji).
I first went into this fight with shiki, since she was my best assassin, but when I realized that this was the ost, I backed out, searched for my level 1 emiya assasin, got him to level 80, and then went back in to enjoy the fight without having changes in the music during nps. One of the best choices I've ever made imo
I missed the Salieri rate up when it hit NA. I was ignorant I wasnt at the lost belt stages yet. Sure I did try rolling for him but not hard enough. Now I see what I missed. And you know what, I’m not waiting for the next rate up. Time to grind the story banner and grail this man once I get him.
I feel anger, sadness, confusion coming from Salieri's play of these notes. This isn't your average pianist, no, this is on an entirely different dimension - a new level of reverence except opposite. You can feel the way he plays Dies Irae if you close your eyes. This, this is what keeps me from leaving fgo.
When Salieri started playing this i immediately went DIES IRAE!!!! DIES ILLA!!! SOELVET SAECLUM, IN FAVILLA!!!!! I love how the fate grand order theme was also remixed into the piece. This part was so hype.

That was the reason I like LB 2 more than this one, because this was just "Boohoo I have to feel bad because I kill things. Is not like I fucking went through a lot of shit and already learned my Lesson a lot of time ago"
Are you telling me.... Salieri is literally in the background playing this while you are fighting?
If that's the case then... I see, Fate is learning to become the next "Bizarre Adventure", because all that setting
Julian Soria The song has the effect of weakening Ivan and it's the part of what allows you to win.
SUPERSIDESWIPER Moreso via making him so fucking angry and furious, amoung other things. This Salieri is born for the very myth of Salieri killing Mozart, and just the Innocent monster skill alongside his other skills.
@@bruceasiandude8979 In short, he gets so pissed off that his sheer RAGE actually weakens Ivan. There is angry, there is Hulk-level angry, and there is this.
@@Jordan-wv2xz there is one reason you lose, You pissed me of.
Saileris story in fgo was actually based of a non factual play on Mozart’s life, with Salieri as the narrator. The movie version of this play was quite nice.
everybody gangsta till the avenger starts playin the piano
I believe that for this fight, all Servants who come with a NP that changes the music should be outright banned.
... which admittedly would have hurt me a lot, since Shiki is the best assassin I got.
I feel your pain cuz I also used shiki for that fight an I mourned whenever I used her NP
Miguel Oroña I should’ve done that.....
Double First Hassan'd it for my time. I almost regret finishing it because of how awesome it was.
I might be late but it's great to see players enjoy the crystalization of Salieri's hate.
While the original feels like a righteous wrathful god, this perfectly displays the anger of a living person. The first fifteen seconds or so always give me chills
I don't know what's better: this ost, or the circumstances behind it XD
The two of them together are better than either of them apart could ever be - the rage of a man who lived in the shadow of the one loved by God. A brilliant pianist, but not brilliant enough - condemned to live in his rival’s shadow. Even in death, his name is a footnote in the story of Mozart, cast as a villain.
If nothing else, this track gives you a great reason to keep the musician Servants around.
Sure, they might not be great in a fight themselves, but they can absolutely play some amazing tunes for you as you kick ass.
I want to see this animated
And Patxi with that motivational speech to Ritsuka with the Sad God like ost 👏
The first few parts would likely be very boring. Only the last few parts is good.
@@ttchme9816 well, you can say the same about pre-Gorgon attack and post-Gorgon attack of Babylonia
@@nguyenquoctoan6354 Yeah, we could say that for most animes
"You let your lightning guard down...you big tengu!" I need, NEED, to see Musashi animated!
You know you’re in for a hell of a fight when the track still plays during the loading screen
Salieri is a truly underrated badass servant.
Ivan: Go ahead! Mock me! But it wasn't Chaldea who was laughing at me..IT WAS SALIERI!!
Salieri: *Angrily play Dies Irae with such furious intensity*
When this was still playing over the loading screen I was like "Oh shit it's the battle theme for this fight I'm hyped" Then I saw Ivan and I was just shocked at how amazing that fight was gonna be
THE MAN ON THE KEYS ! ANTONIO SALIERY FINALLY COMES TO NA ! ARTS TEAMS NOW ALMIGHTY !
Best avenger playing the best song
Not gonna lie, having Melt during this fight was the most kino shit ever.
LMAO I USED HER TOO
Haha same along with jack
Ömer Ersoy i uses King Hassan, Merlin, Jack, assassin Shiki, Herc, and Passionlip
During this my team was: Tamamo Caster, Yang Guifei, Sitonai(support), Shi Huang Di and Ibarki Berserker
I had Jack, Wu-chan and Serenity.
That's right. I brought down the Mammoth Russian with a bunch of lolis and an absolute treasure of a girl
...It should be an option to turn off the music-changes that certain NP's do. I love Emiya's theme but holy shit this is some sexy piano music right here
This song has no right slapping this hard
Just found out that Salieri's VA also voiced Kibutsuji Muzan.
Ladies and Gentlemen, IT'S here
Imagine if instead of the usual chant of UBW EMIYA used this instead:
Day of wrath and doom Impending,
David's words with Sibyl's blending,
Heaven and Earth in ashes ending.
Oh what fear man's bosom rendeth, when from heaven the Judge descendeth, on whose sentence all dependeth.
Wondrous sound the trumpet flingeth, through earth's sepulchers it ringeth,
All before the Throne in bringeth. From the dust of earth returning: man for judgement must prepare him.
Spare O God, in mercy spare him.
Lord all-pitying, Jesus blest, Grant them thine eternal rest. Amen
Atziluth: Du-sollst――Dies irae!
And then perhaps Robin Hood joins in with:
Vast is the sea, its waves reaching horizons far and wide;
eternal is the radiance of its azure womb.
And so let us ride this moment and dash forth, swift as light, quick as a star eternal.
Hear my plea, and grant this one wish:
the world longs for an era of peace; days that know not strife.
In a world where only peace is lord, and men join hands in liberty…
Allow me to sing but this,
Halt, O time, for thou art fair beyond measure.
I wish upon your unending star - guide me to heights unknown!
Atziluth: Res Novae - Also Sprach Zarathustra!
Then what? Another Robin saying...
Ede bibe lude post mortem nulla voluptas
Atziluth ――
"Vive Memor Mortis ― Acta est fabula!"
you guys are great
oh god i love it
Honestly, Acta Est Fabula should be EMIYA, Also Sprach Zarathustra being Shirou and Dies Irae being Gil, now wouldn't that be sweet
I love how you still have leimotifs of the fate go musics in this song
This was mad hype when I played it now! So damn good
Ahh one of the best fight i had. Thank god i m a fate grand order master along with you guys. Thats amazing journey and waiting for more
0:21 Main FGO theme shout out
it's just a battle about a giant elephant and a giant golem-
Salieri:
I have no idea how long ago LB1 came out in NA, but ever since that day, I’ve been coming back to hear this song again and again
...when I heard this song for the first time, the pure *emotion* dripping from every note made me shudder.
I believe we get to fight him again next year.
I love how at the start of the song it vegins ramping up with a sped up version of the classic FGO theme, this song kicks soooo much ass
I cannot wait for Epic of Remnant and Cosmos of the Lostbelt to come to NA.
Moneyman me too! 2020!!!
Brian Nguyen 1 year off
@@bruceasiandude8979 The first Lostbelt is here
@@dradvrim1 yeah, I'm playing through it. the comment is a year before it was released though
@@bruceasiandude8979 Sorry, I meant more like "The first Lostbelt is here!!!" I also just wanted to reply to the comment, not necessarily just you. I can't wait for Salieri's rate-up, though.
That's it, I'm Grailing Salieri soon!
Same, hopefully I get him when his banner starts soon
When the banner starts?
@@brunoninho49 probably tomorrow
Salieri was a Genus Master of composing and is still played on occasions on modern Classical Stations. He would still be known today without Mozart. He was just cursed to have to deal with one of the GOATS of composers a Super Genus. Not going to pick just one GOAT of Top masters.
God the energy!! I can feel it in my heart!!
Antonio Salieris is great, but Kudas to the one dude playing this on the piano. He did a great job.
I legit took my time fighting ivan the terrible just to listen
Salieri: "Listen well, Ivan the Terrible! Yaga of grief, and of anger! For a long time you have been doing the pruning, but now, it is your turn to be cut away! You may be livid, but your anger is misplaced! You supped the blood of hundreds...thousands of Demonic Beasts in order to gain that enormous body! For countless years, you have used your power for cruelty and tyranny! You let your Oprichniki roam free, killing Yaga after Yaga for untold generations! You say everything you did was to survive. But even so... ...your existence now is nothing more than a monument to sin!"
It took me too long to find this gem of an OST
I just looked up "FGO Salieri going nuts on piano" and this was one of the first results after I got rid of (going nuts
Bro this is beautiful
salieri is my waifu
No he means waifu
Indeed he is, i even grailed him in my jp
Salieri is the waifu, Mozart is the husbando
Oh hi terry, make this Lumberjack theme in Fargo’s soul mod
As Blackbeard said: you can just gender-swap them in your mind.
Ah just in time after u finished fighting Ivan, damn the piano song really takes my heart away while fighting him
Ever hear a song that makes you want to take on a self made God? You have now.
this is a mobile game, just a reminder lol
Are you implying it shouldn't be treated as good just because it's mobile?
no, he is just saying that this is a lot of effort and high quality stuff to a mobile game, and its a good thing
@@lordsparda0976 No, he's been awed by the fact that a Mobile game can be treated with so much dedication and care it rises up to artistic heights.
Our gacha money is well spent by them I say
Raka Pratama unfortunately, they didn’t even proofread their scripts. There were errors in the official translations, and it’s embarrassing.
hold the fuck up unless im tripping so this is one of the best songs of the fgo soundtrack and you cant buy it in the na soundtrack menu WHY
best piano song ever. Antonio deserved this and he has shown how he rivals motzart well
This is where Galahad said:”We finally meet,Sister Kyrielight..And you as well,Master of Chaldea.”
This BGM makes me remember one of Gameloft's Old game, titled Soul Of Darkness
Meanwhile me: D U S O L L S T, D I E S I R A E
Maybe I don't have Reinhard Eugen Tristan Heydritch "Mephistopheles" Lancer/Ruler or Cagliostro/Mercurius Caster/Foreigner, but I have Antonio Salieri.
Joseph Katzen
Go for EMIYA, the same V.A, just as GAR.
Not to mention, Reality Marble in some aspects, could be considered a "tonned down" version of "Atziluth".
As for the Snake of Mercury. We don't have snake, but we have poisonous Weed in the form of Robin Hood.
Well Reality Marbles are more like Beri'ah's.
And don't forget maybe Saber/Berserker/Avenger Ren "Zarathustra" Fujii.
Reinhard Lancer would be amazing
@@matteste Could definitely see 4-star Saber Ren, or a 5 star Eine Faust Finale/Rea Route Ren
One of the piano piece that made me love piano music more. Now I hear it play while fighting father Russia's mammoth
Let's do this! Golem Keter Malkuth!
Was it just me or someone else also brought EMIYA (Shirou) to this fight just to hear Junichi Suwabe's voice under this magnificent BGM?
A seiyu joke, btw.
I didn't and now I wish I did, haha
And also brought Robin Hood for Kousuke Toriumi goodness. Can't have Reinhardt without Merc. xD
Martin Papos
Damn... Forgot about that guy...
I'm kinda lost. Did these guys work at the VN dubbing?
Rafael Sampaio
Junichi Suwabe (EMIYA) was the V.A of Heydrich.
Was this to avoid Shiki's np ost?
A warm tune howls across a frigid wasteland.
The theme is the Mozart's Requiem, Dies irae part.
Weirdly enough Listening to this kinda does make me angry and calm at the same time. Huh.
My new favorite study music
Indeed
I can imagine gudao's golem keter malkuth vs ivan mammoth form with this ost in anime adaptation
This scene would be so amazing to see as an anime
I feel anger, sadness, confusion coming from Salieri's play of these notes. This isn't your average pianist, no, this is on an entirely different dimension - a new level of reverence except opposite. You can feel the way he plays Dies Irae if you close your eyes. This, this is what keeps me from leaving fgo.
support hassan:
hearken, the evening bell hath tolled thy name.
ivan: pls kill me bone daddy
When Salieri started playing this i immediately went DIES IRAE!!!! DIES ILLA!!! SOELVET SAECLUM, IN FAVILLA!!!!!
I love how the fate grand order theme was also remixed into the piece. This part was so hype.
Just finished the fight with Ivan and had to look this up because it is so good.
Can I ask? *WHY IS IVAN A GIANT MAMMOTH VERSION OF KING HASSAN?*
Cause why not?
LostBelt 1 is a timeline that diverged 450 years ago from human history , to survive the eternal snowstorm , Ivan was forced to make a decision to turn the people of his country into beastmen , while he was fused with the fossil of an ancient beast which was the giant elephant he transforms to.
So basically
Ivan’s solution to the Day after Tomorrow lol
Literally for the survival of his people and country
King Hassan? Ivan's actually a mammoth Fergus with a lightning staff
still gives me the chills
Someone needs to sync this up with the Mozart Requiem - Dies Irae - Herreweghe.
