- What happens when you go searching for Pokemon cards but it's a late night Walmart shopping trip? This Pokemon opening starts off with a surprising Target trip where I found Pokémon cards from 5 years ago! Our shopping adventure took us around to a bunch of stores and I ended up running into the Dragonite box that I had yet to see. Opening Pokemon cards from the new Pokeball tins that have one of the best Pokemon sets of all time and ending with a great Walmart haul!

Pokemon was kind of like my "guilty pleasure" if you will. Most of my friends were too "old" for it when it came out, but I used to watch it all the time and record it on my VHS haha. Still love it!

I started collecting Pokémon cards about 3 years ago when my friend first introduced me to it. Then I went on RUclips and wanted to find someone who liked Pokémon and who opened Pokémon cards and I found you! And that’s when I got hooked on Pokémon.
You yelling " *NO* " at the 3rd party boxes made me laugh harder than it should have. XD

I started collecting Pokémon cards in 2019 after Christmas. My parents knew I loved watching the Pokémon anime show. They also knew I played a whole bunch of Pokémon go since 2017. So they decided to buy me a total of 10 different packs. After opening those 10 packs I really grew a passion for collecting the cards so now I buy Pokémon cards every time I am at a store that has them in stock.

I got started from the anime’s and then when I was little I started collecting cards then stopped and just recently continued and you opening packs really made me want to get back into the card collecting again!
I believe I started my Pokémon journey with the tv show, shortly followed by the TCG. I was so invested into the cards that my parents would take me and my siblings to our local Book-A-Million to compete and win gym badges. I wasn't that great but I had fun! 😁
Started collecting when I went to a card shop back in the day and was just staring at a Scyther card from jungle, and wanted it but they wouldn’t let me get it lol. Thought it was one of the coolest Pokémon’s, And still never got that card to this day don’t know why.
I remember my first cards I got, was looking at this pack at a Walmart and didn’t get it, didn’t ask. Then I got it as a surprise gift one day! I was so happy it was clear packaging with two decks inside I believe, and had a holo Machamp one packaged, and the other was just in one of the decks both holo if I remember correctly lol.
I still remember that clear package with exodus in it from yugioh! Wanted that too😅

I started with Pokémon cards when I was around 8. I fell out of it but fell in love with the video games (starting with Sun and Moon) and are still in love with the games today. I’m currently playing through Diamond for the first time! I massively respect the cards and just got back into them recently- you inspired me! No amazing pulls yet but still holding out hope!
I started collecting Pokemon cards with my friends during recess and we would have tons of fun trading and collecting pokemon cards. I also watched the anime and it was my favorite show for a very long time. But recently I have really gotten into it a lot and every store I go to I look for some Pokemon cards and check under the shelves for hidden and out of place pokemon cards.

I started watching Pokémon series when I was around 6 or 7 years old and I remember I set down excited to watch the show and when I would go to the store with my grandma🕊 I would tell her to buy me some Pokémon cards, because my parents wouldn’t 😄 and I also play Pokémon on my game boy which was really fun and definitely bring back memories🙂.
I started collecting Pokémon cards at the end of school holidays and my friend gave me a free Pokémon card and I was so happy, then I was at school and I saw someone else have a Pokémon card so then I bought a packet of Pokémon cards and it was amazing, just the suspense of the back 2 cards was amazing,and I love watching you and your positive thoughts they are so inspiring and happy Christmas .
My cousin introduced us (my sisters and I) to Pokémon at a wedding reception. We were in a small town dance hall all huddled up underneath a folding table. We had a flashlight shining a glare on his Gameboy as we watched him play Pokémon Red Version. Ever since then, we've played every game, collected tons of cards, and watched nearly every season of the anime. We even read the original comic books/manga that you could find in Garden Ridge. Now that I'm typing it out, I can't believe I've been a fan for well over 20 years!
So actully I just got into this hobby, I was with my friend and she had a bunch of older cards and I was like yeah we can look through them. Turns out she had very rare first edition cards! Since then after school everyday I get myself a pack. Always exciting to play. And your channel is 100% the best one. I tried watching a few others but your positivity, jokes, and just ENERGY! I got started with pokemon with my brother in the late 90’s. I can’t tell you if I opened a pack first or watch the show, but it started a great bond and we have enjoyed collecting ever since. Jungle and Fossil packs were our absolute favorite!
I remembered watching the Pokemon BW anime on tv and wanting to get the DS games because of course the DS was popular during that time and I was gifted it beforehand. After a year or so going back and forth between the games and the show, my mother gave me a tcg box, i think it was the one with the zekrom figure, and that started my long lasting gambling addiction for cards lol 😅
I started collecting Pokemon cards when they first came out and I was young. My 5 year old started collecting this year by becoming obsessed with the McDonald's pokemon cards his love of Pokemon reignited my love of the card game and now we watch your videos and open cards up as often as we can.

From what I can remember, I started collecting cards after waking up early on the weekends to watch pokemon. I loved the shows so much so I would save my allowance up and go by packs when I could. Never knew really how to play the game actually so my friends and I would trade and battle with rules that we would make up

I was into Pokemon when they first came out. I remember opening "vintage" packs and pulling Bulbasaur, who is my favorite. I ended up losing touch after Gym Hero's but 2 years ago one of my friends was posting on his Pokemon page and we caught him. He didn't tell us that he had a page or that he was collecting Pokemon again, so we all started opening cards again. My friends and I started opening Evolutions and we would hangout to open cards. Now we're still opening cards but it's getting expensive so we have slowed down. My favorite packs I've opened since I started collecting again is Hidden Fates. I still have a case that's in my personal collection that I plan to open one day.

When I was younger I remember seeing pokemon stuff in the stores and falling in love with how cute the characters were, my parents ended up buying me some of the tcg packs and some key chains and then some of my friends started to collect the cards so I started to collect them more intensely, every thing about pokemon tcg and pokemon products in general strikes my fancy but after high school which were my younger days I stopped collecting for the longest time. Then last year I heard my cousin was collecting them and making big money on them, then the beginning of this year I googled some of the newer tcg that were out and fell in love all over again. Later like a couple months ago found your Channel and let's just say you make me love collecting more and more everyday 😁

My school friend was into anime stuff, and said that I would like Pokemon, so I watched it on his recommendation, and got instantly hooked!! Watched as much of the TV show as I could, and collected the original base set cards. Never looked back haha still hooked now 🤣

I started collecting Pokémon when I started watching you. When I saw you pull the shiny greenninja on the last pack I was shocked and realized anything was possible, so I started by Pokémon left and right and got some of the best pulls you can imagine.
I started Pokemon through the XY series on Netflix. I thought it was sooooo cool. The first pack I got was at target and i got an EX, from that point on i was hooked on Pokemon.
I got started watching you and Leonhart. When I was younger, I collected magic, but that was over twenty years ago. Then, earlier this year, I was on Facebook and a Leonhart video popped up. It was fun. So I start checking out RUclips, and I found your channel. It was fun as well. Now it’s been about 8 months, and I’ve have really been enjoying the hobby. I even have my own channel. This is how I got started in pokemon… When I was little my friends would be playing this card game. They had shines and basic. I asked them whats it called and they replied “ Pokemon”. I told asked them how do you play and they told ne the rules. They also said you. An collect them. Then I asked my parents if I could buy them and they said sure. After that I was SO INTO POKEMON. I watched pokemon episodes and collected them. And I still do! ( Plus if I get it I will be so happy!!!).

I was instantly hooked when the Anime first came out which lead to me asking for pokemon red for my birthday and then I was also gifted some pokemon card packs. I opened up 4 of these tins last week. From the Cosmic packs I pulled a Full Art Charizard & Braixen, a regular Zekrom & Reshiram and also Full Art Zekrom & Reshiram. I was so stoked.
I started watching Pokemon xy the anime when I was 6 and from there on out I loved it. My uncle bought me a Pikachu Pokemon card tin when I was 7 and that’s when I started collecting Pokemon cards with my cousins! Very fun.
I started collecting pokemon when I was around 6 which I loved trading and collecting. Wasn't until recently I've become hooked ones again with celebrations grabbing my attention the most checking every store for them. I've always played the games starting on leaf green on the gameboy whilst also collecting the older games starting a different journey on each one.
Well it all start back in the 90's when my kids were little, and now my granddaughter is starting to collect. So it's been a span of years and generations lol. Winning some shiny Pokémon (especially Mew) would be awesome because those are what she is wanting badly.

I started with tcg back when I was younger, then evolved to the games and anime. Now being an adult and watching videos again I’ve come to love collecting the cards again. I started back with celebrations set and been loving and addicted ever since!
Oh man! I was legit one of the very first handful of kids that sat down and saw the first episode of Pokémon when it aired in the 90’s. I got hooked immediately! Then the cards came out, and it just went from there. Never stopped training, always chasing badges! 😉

I'm old, so I started back when Pokemon TCG first came out, I remember my first pack pull ever was a Blastoise rare. My brother and I still collect cards to this very day, always scouting our local Target and Walmart stores. Sometimes the hunt is more fun than the prize, getting to spend time with my little bro.

The way I got started was opening up the base set of Pokémon cards with one of my friends who discovered it before me. I thought he was crazy, then I turned crazy about them too 🤣

Actually back in Korea where I'm originally from we weren't big into collecting cards as much as collecting pokemon stickers that were inside these breads haha. But Pokemon card collecting has brought new friends/old friends closer so it's been a great year of collecting

I started liking Pokémon when I was 5 a didn’t really know what they did so I gave them away then a bit later I found some in my room I found some GXs
My friend had lot’s of great Pokémon and I was very jealous and I still am very jealous. But now I have better cards but my friend still has better cards then me. And I love your video’s your really funny.

After finding my old collection through a family member a couple years back I have started buying packs and collecting again. It's been a great time watching guys like you satisfy the itch my bank account cannot handle lol.

My little brother and I collected Pokémon cards when we were younger and we watched the tv show together when we were growing up.
Then I went off to college 3 years ago and my mom threw away all our cards, so my brother and I are now trying to get our collection back to where it was. We love opening packs together and even going back watching the show.

If I remember right, the anime started me out on my Pokémon adventure. I remember playing Pokémon Yellow, but I was too young to really understand how to play. But I remember going into BlockBuster and renting Pokémon VHS tapes and watching them over and over.
I started Pokemon collecting around 7 years ago and I got into because I found a few rare cards. Those cards are now worth around $30 I haven't earned much from Pokemon collecting because in 2016 I stopped, but this year I started collecting more hoping I will get somewhere. I started collecting pokemon when I was about 5-6 years old. All my friends from around the neighborhood had a whole bunch of cards and would battle eachother and then I fell in love with them and would always beg my mom to get me some pokemon cards from toys r us. Eventually as I got older I kind of stopped playing with them but I just got back into them and have been watching you non stop!
So I was about 7 when we me and my mom dad and brother got into playing Pokemon go and we loved it so we started watching the pokemon anime and we watched so much of it so then we found the cards and started collecting for 3 years and then stopped for a year and now we are in love with them now
I started watching Pokemon afterschool back in 02-03 on Kid's WB. I got hooked on to it and watched the Pokemon movie 2000 that winter as well. I started in Pokemon playing Pokemon Red and Blue with a buddy on Gameboy. That led to collecting cards and watching the show. those were simpler times, my friend!
11:25 I started with Pokemon anime 8 years ago. Then I was collecting Pokemon video games and movies, I couldn't buy cards because there was nowhere to buy, but last year I found a shop where I'm now buying Pokemon cards. Man the day I found out about Pokémon is a memory I will never forget. Me and some friends met up at the culdesac with our bikes. My good friend brought out of his pocket a base set pack of Pokémon and opened it in front of me pulling a blastoise. Seeing his excitement had me excited too. Then later that weekend I saw a jungle pack and asked my mom to buy it for me. I opened it and bam pulled a Wigglytuff holo. Then learned how to play and have been ever since. Lost my original cards but got back into it again 2 years ago

I started to collect Pokemon cards when I was babysitting my cousins and they showed me all the Pokemon and their Pokemon collection
It's been so long since but I do remember opening base set, jungle and fossil packs, even then I was set on collecting and went straight from pack to sleeve and top loader. I remember being lost in my gameboy and grinding pokemon and of course I watched every episode of pokemon and binged on episodes as they came out...so to me it was a mixture of all 3 and I loved pokemon from the beginning and still collect to this day and just love the pokemon community and all the love and positivity I've experienced with each new person I meet and all the giving others can be. This community has brought so much joy to myself and so many others and do regret not collecting everything as like so many others I regret to say I stopped collecting for a time and all the nostalgia I get when older sets get opened up.
I started getting into Pokemon in elementary school. Started collecting the tcg when base set was out. Had a binder of all the cards I collected. In fourth grade my teacher caught me with the binder in class and took the binder away for a couple of weeks. Convinced some people in class might have taken some cards out before I got the binder back. Lol That is why you don't look at your Pokemon binder during class.

I was a freshman in college in 1999 and a bunch of the guys on my floor and I decided to start playing the TCG. We then watched the show, and went to the local premier of the first movie.

I started collecting when I was 10. I was watching the show a lot back then and found out that Toys R Us had pokemon cards. I remember my brother used to have some when he was younger and I just decided one day to go to Toys R Us with my dad to get some theck decks and play with my cousin. Since then I have been on and off but ever since Hidden fates came out, that is when I truly got into collecting. I love so many artworks in so many sets and the main reason I wanted to collect was of all the variety of cards you can get like rainbows, golds, full arts, alternate arts.
I got started on my Pokemon journey when I went to a friend's house after school. We sat down in front of an old school TV waiting for the indigo league show to start. That led to more watch sessions, then Pokemon cards, and Gameboy games. The pokemon journey never stops just gets put on pause every now and then.
Because I couldn't clean up those about to board I realize I had a couple Pokemon cars so I kept grinding and that's how I like Pokemon cards and now I watched your videos so that's how I got into Pokemon cards and the game

Honestly I started collecting to compete with friends. We raced and bought a ton of xy's hoping for charizard and ultra rares. I never liked the anime but I did love the games. So the main reason I got started was to have fun with friends and do a friendly competition. My first ever card was a reverse holo gyrados and I still have it. I love watching vids like this as well it's another reason I started collecting.
