There are still bad breeders, hunters, animal fighting / betting, lots of morally grey stuff, but the overall public sentiment, laws and systems put in place is arguably much better. As a food source if it is culturally what has been done in Asia for ages, and similar to their other livestock practices, then maybe that is not fair for grocery store meat eaters to judge. With some of these stories though, it sounds like there's torture involved...
I don't eat animal flesh and I could never imagine eating a dog, a cat or a horse...I'd rather starve. Thank you for loving on Brooklyn and giving him his forever home.

my in laws are from China. On their goole maps they have hundreds f thousands of dog meat restaurants.This is a great story glad they are rescuing them.
"You can judge a country by the way they treat animals" I can't stand to see these dogs piled in a cage crowded and unable to move while they await their death sentence from the monster who will kill them and eat them. I too have a golden, whom I adopted seven months ago. She, too, was pulled from the Chinese meat market by a dedicated rescue organization. We named her Bailey, and Bailey is my shadow. I just love her to the moon and back. One of Bailey's friends, as I walk her around town, is another golden named Brooklyn! (We are in New Jersey.) Thanks for giving your Brooklyn a happy home and a happy life!
ANY meat trade is appalling. Why mass farming of cattle/turkeys etc is so acceptable I will never understand. Takes a video like this to even make a dent on attitudes.

@morph261 I personally do not eat meat as I could not bear to eat any animal & I endeavour to not judge other peoples' choices.😊 I absolutely agree that the needless & unncessary suffering often endured beforehand is very much a problem. I feel that many people also find it particularly distressing when it is animals they naturally associate with being pets compared to those they would consider to be livestock.😊

I had 2 dogs in my life and probably think about to get a 3 one but one thing that made me, every time, nearly to cry is this thought: We spent a part of a life with Animals. Animals spent the entire life with us.
Back in the 1980's our family dog was a female Goldie named Molly. Our neighborhood came to know her and everyone loved her. She knew no stranger as she loved everyone too. Gosh how I miss my girl! Of all the dogs I've ever had, Molly was the most sweetest. And she would smile when she bring you her toys to see!
Im so Thankful that these Beautiful dogs are rescued from such horrible conditions! I can't believe people eat dogs! This is cruel and must be stopped 😢
You gotta have empathy and patience with scared pups. Put yourself in his shoes: you’re in a new place, surrounded by strangers, and you don’t know if they mean you harm. Wouldn’t it take time for you to feel safe?

I love videos that show how much love dogs have to offer! I have 1 that came from a shelter and 2 that were “donated” to me because I live in the country and 1 that a family member couldn’t keep. I’m broke but I’m happy!
