Great video! I'm curious- have you ever heard stories about wild foxes leaving gifts for people in the wild? My father lives on 25 acres in south Louisiana, and in one of his barns, there have been several generations of foxes born and raised. Occasionally he would leave canned dog food or canned tuna, trying to prevent the foxes associating the food with him.
Well, recently he's been taking his morning walks around the property and finding what he can only describe as gifts- whole fish, pieces of rabbits, etc.
Have you heard anything about this sort of thing? We find it very endearing, and would love to hear from people who know a bit more about this sort of thing.

I'd say it's similar to when outdoor cats bring gifts for their owners. That's pretty cool that they do that!
Agreed with BlueSSunshinee, I'd wager this kind of behavior is partially to thank for all the myths around the world having to do with foxes possessing high intelligence and so frequently being anthropomorphized; they're just one example of many creatures which have traits typically associated with being a hallmark of humans, so it can be a bit surprising when those traits are found where you don't expect to. Heck, I found out just earlier today that rats can be tickled and actually laugh in response! It's been thought that these positive traits we can so closely relate to may be what helps select for domestication, which is a handy survival trait since humans can provide pretty cushy accommodations in exchange for companionship. In fact, there's a company in (if memory serves) Russia that is working toward breeding domesticated foxes that have these kinds of traits, much like the wolves that begat dogs. Pretty neat stuff!

Hello! I have a 20 year old land turtle and she only eats vegetables and fruit, does she need to drink? I have had her for 3 years and she hasn't been drinking (ever) , I have given her baths and plenty of juicy vegetables just in case.
