It’s not that bad, so long as you check those guard breaks and play good defense you’ll be fine. The only issue is that one mistake is a charge towards a 95 dmg nuke.
This hero is so sluggish and ardous to play with, but is quite unique and fun in this way. I wouldn't say he is strong, rather average, because if you know how to play against him it is rather simple. He sucks at breach, is okay in dominion, and somewhat good in duels.
He sucks at breach, where he can farm soul stacks from officers? He is ok at dominion, where his triple tap GB and seven point strike is virtually unusable if you're getting ganked, and nearly all of his moves have no external attack hitbox? ...What?

His seven soul strike is more usuable than in dominion, but not only you have much bigger map to roam with his sluggish movement, but pikemen exist, and gang battles are no exeption either. I made this statement days after his release so i of course it was more subjective than it shouls be, not he sucks no less in dominion as in breach.
For finishes why don't you get the nukage stacks, but just don't use it? It'll add pressure to them, cause they gotta worry about it, but it should give you plenty of time to fight for a finisher and you have a backup nuke incase it ain't turning that way
I honestly feel like his base damage should slightly increase with every soul he gains. Reduce the nuke attack to 50 (can still be 95 with boost/feats, etc). Keep his in chain zone, but also give him proper light-heavy chains. Honestly just having more offensive options in his kit instead of completely relying on the one shot move for damage would make him better to play and fight overall.
I agree, though another route would be to give the nuke a timer that'll get rid of the spirits after an amount of time This all kinda just feels like old shugoki hug vibes from way back when
@MibuInMalibu I understand that's a possibility but it doesn't stop sohei players from turtling as well until they get an opening to nuke, either side can turtle around this mechanic but it shouldn't be free unlimited pressure for sohei
@@ZenithMod it’s not free unlimited pressure from sohei. He has to obtain all 6 souls and that’s far from free, atleast in a duel. Most times enemies will stop going for parries and be safe enough to not get GB’d.

Tell that to ubi, he legit has no chains other than from his zone. His damage is garbage otherwise, and his heavies are only worth being feinted. Unless your enemy is an absolute idiot they'll never get it by it. His move set is really garbage, so at times, you have to really rely on that GB for him to really do damage. SFS is legit the only good move in his kit besides his bash.
