Hi, Lizzy. This is a very good analysis, if not a tad biased. China’s accomplishment are indeed impressive. Over the pass year, not only have they presented the world with a new AI model - they have flown two new stealth jets; launched a new drone carrier (an aircraft carrier of unmanned drone fighters); expanded their electric car market to Europe and soon to Africa; but also furthered their use and deployments of autonomous robots. Not to mention a new space station built without a coalition of other countries, landed on the far side of the moon, nuclear fusion, etc. Being first does not always mean victory.
As an American and a veteran, this is most concerning. Not for China's accomplishments. I praise the ingenuity of my fellow Humans. But, because America has FAILED TO DO THESE THINGS OURSELVES!

It's more a question of education and opportunity. U.S. education has become very expensive -- you have to go into debt unless you are rich. Also, a STEM degree is not as valuable as going into law or finance in the U.S. That is a HUGE mistake, actually.
