Great to finally see you out in better weather! It look so beautiful down there, we've not been to that part of the south coast, we must try and change that in the neat future.. Great video as usual 😊
No mud, sunshine, what is going on?😂🙌🌞. Wow the seven sisters really is stunning, we would love to visit here one day. That dog was not a happy camper 😂🐕. Really enjoyed this one Ben, looks like you did too, and some more miles under the belt for training 👌. Thanks for taking us along, Have a great week ahead, Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
That trail looks amazing, it really does, especially with that fabulous weather. Nice looking tent the tarpstar. Some great drone shots of the chalk cliffs, ATB, Graham 👍👍
I'm starting the C2C on the 2nd September, I'll also be using the same Naturehike backpack ( I have the 60l version ), which I find to be excellent. I'm a Surrey boy originally so its nice to see the South Coast again, I now live and train in Pembrokeshire, who knows, I might spot you on the C2C at some point.
I just completed the South Downs a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I chose the wrong week and couldn't even see the edge of the cliffs, on the Seven Sisters leg, it was so misty.. Great views..
Can't win in the UK this year can we Ben? Either a soggy miserable mire or baking hot 🤣. Still looked a great bit of training over a spectacular bit of scenery. Cheers. Rich 👍
Great views Ben…just came back for wales walked up & down snowdon the views of the Welsh mountains out standing.tuff on the knees coming down..and yes there is a train that goes up/down.😊
Great weekend of sun but like you I slept through on Friday and missed the Northern Lights 😢 Looks like you’ve switched from Brooks to Altra Lone Peaks, how’s that working out for your feet and have you gone all in with toe socks too? Interested to see you didn’t have the Z bed, are you testing other options or was it a no? Thank you for sharing your training and journey to C2C 🙂
Hi Paul. Not gone with the toe socks just yet but thinking about it! I’ve found the Lone Peaks comfy (great wide toe box) and altogether a different experience to the Brooks. Not definite I’ll use them for C2C. Might have to look at something that’s a cross between them and Brooks. Might do a video about it soon. Hope all well Paul. Ben 👍👍
Hi, I left a comment on an older video of yours but i don't know how often you check comments from older videos. I was curious about the Rab rain jacket you use on your hikes/camps. What's the make/model? Also, can you fit your down jacket underneath it? If so did you need to get a size up or was your standard size fine? Thanks a lot! :)
Hi Matt. Sorry I missed your other comment. The Rab jacket I use is called the Rab Eco Downpour. I don’t tend to use it in conjunction with the down jacket. Down mainly used by me when I stop somewhere at night and it’s chillier or if in the tent. I think I did it once and it was okay. I am normally a medium for most things but the Forclaz down jacket I have is a large (they come up small). The Rab jacket is a medium. Overall I tend to use the Rab jacket much more than the Forclaz when hiking. Hope some of that info helps!
@@benhikescampsI was wondering how you were getting on with it as it’s a tent that I’ve been looking at for thru hiking so I’ll be interested in seeing what you use instead.
A very picturesque place to camp, tarpstar looked stealthy…. Not to a dog it seems.
Indeed! Cheers Hardy 👍

Ah thanks both. Was a good day for it! Recommended area for you both. Fair few pill boxes in the Cuckmere Haven area 👍

Many thanks Graham. Was good fun. 👍
Glad to see you’re still at it! Love that coastline - beautiful! 😸
Thanks !
Nice walk. I walked that last year. It's stunning. Other than the other humans.
Yes, agreed. Beautiful location but so many people. 👍
Great sunny landscape

Wishing you the very best for September. Yes the NH rucksacks are pretty good for sure. 👍

Nice one Ben, the SDW is definitely on my to do list and that section looked stunning. Good training for the C2C 👍
Thanks Barney. Nice stretch the Seven Sisters.
Nice green tent mate, it makes you almost invisible for the farmers and the police)
keep up the good work Ben
Thanks!
New sub here - just starting my wild camp plans, so swotting up 😄
Glad to be of help. Thanks for watching AND subbing! 🙏
Do I spy new shoes?
Must have been lovely hiking in dry. Seems all you've has is rain recently. Look forward to you doing the real thing.
Hi Michael. Was a change from mud and rain for sure. Yes, you correctly spy new shoes. 👍👍
@@benhikescamps you certainly got the miles in your old ones lol.
Forgot to say the shoots with your new drone are brilliant.
@michaelgatford6194 thanks Michael for that drone feedback. You’re the one that’s mentioned it so it’s great to know it looks half decent. Cheers! 👍
Nice one Ben. I’m amazed we missed you given we were walking in opposite directions on the same day!
We could have well passed each other Laura. At some points there were so many people! Was walking between 12 and about 5pm.
Nice trainers
Thanks. Didn’t get them free.

@benhikescamps Thanks Ben! Much appreciated 🙂
Thanks for the nice video, how are you getting along with the Alpkit Tarpstar ? I am beginning to enjoy mine. 👍
Many thanks for watching. The Tarpstar and I have parted company. It wasn’t meant to be.
@@benhikescamps Thanks for the reply, I could have saved some money and bought it off you. 👍

Hi Richard. I’m probably going to do a short vid on this but the Tarpstar just feels too faffy and I don’t need faffy after walking 20 miles.
You sound like George Michael mate .
