As a lifetime Sylvester Stallone fan, seeing him in this context is so funny to me. He seems like such a caring father, very wholesome. You guys are defenitely the only ones who are able to open him up this much. I enjoyed Mom's input from the backround as well haha.
I didn’t have a mom and dad as I was orphaned and rocky became like my big brother, I watched him 1,000 times in the movie and how he was a loving dad and husband and I felt like it was really him. Now I see his daughters how much he did a great job with his beautiful wife. Love you Rocky / Sly ❤️ you were there for me and you didn’t even know it
"You've scared the shit out of my boyfriends" - younger daughter. "In order to win a war, you have to become war" - John Rambo; Sly. Haha. Sly is great 👍! This interview was great, and allowed his fans to see a little bit how Sly truly is. Thank you 😊
Your father is a real gentleman. I’m sure he doesn’t remember me , but I was at a mall in Thousand Oaks Ca in the 1980’s , and he was starting to drive his truck out of the parking lot ,but saw me exiting the mall. And he waved to me to go ahead and cross even though he was already driving in the driveway. That made me feel special and important, that a huge star like him, waited for me to cross before driving any farther. I will never forget it. Plus I have always been a big fan of him and his films.
I love his movie...his yes are so expressives and in that eyes you can see his soul. A beautiful kind of soul...who has empathy and loves to his fellow human being.
I picked up a former boss of mine and Tampa Bay Florida at the airport and Stallone's on the flight my boss said thrown in first class and Stallone had set coach I couldn't believe how many people were out there waiting and I didn't know what was going on but my boss said that Sly was on the plane it was pretty cool to see him although he was much smaller than I anticipated he was about my size 5 9 1 65 170 180 maybe
This was fantastic! You young ladies are so blessed to have the parents that you do. My father was a good provider and he tried, but he never did things with me. He was a dentist who is 92 yrs. old now and he lives next door to us in a duplex which means we only have 2 doorways between us so that we can be right there but we all still have our own privacy. My point was, back in those days a dentist didn't make as much and my Dad refused to raise his prices which infuriated my mother but she stayed home and cared for my oldest sister, me and my twin sister, and then my late in life unexpected little brother who became her buddy and went everywhere with her. I was the black sheep and no matter what I do to this day, I get no true respect from my family except my twin. She understands me, and my wife who I was infatuated with since high school. We went on a couple of dates in high school and one in our 20s but we didn't actually have a real relationship until our early 30s and got married at 35. I had some growing up to do before she would have anything to do with me for long anyway. I'm a carpenter and my wife thinks I'm the best! I apologize for the short book. I think your Father is a great one and I wish I had one like him. My Father-in-law was a very cool guy; he took me fishing and we did a lot of things with him like going to the races and car shows. We had a lot of cook-outs and they were great times. He had it rough like your Dad did. Nobody taught him to be a man and he had to learn the hard way which took him a lot of years and even some jail time, but he did it. He passed away at only 64 years old and I miss him. I have nothing but respect for your father. I hope you see this and maybe read it to him.
I cried watching this. As someone who has loved Stallone's movies since I was like 8, I really love to see that he grew up to be even more successful, by seeing what you two are doing. That is very sweet. And I didn't even know you two. But it is sweet to see your love and friendship together. Also your dad is in my heart because of his relentlessness to succeed. As someone who is still fighting to be successful, I love to see him and love his stories. Specially the one Tony Robins tells, of him reading to get out of the cold. Maybe he can tell it one day? Congrats! keep up the amazing work!!
The more I learn about your Dad, the more I Love him as a person. I'm 52 and a huge fan of his. You girls did a great job with him. Keep up the good work.
It's so cute that he's allowing a border to cross just because they're his little girls and he loves them with all his heart. And that love is totally reciprocated by the daughters.
Your father is a living legend, not just the reason action movies exist and not just the inspiration behind predator but obviously a loving father which is summit not many get to see.
@moonlitlove scooby doo, pikachu, elvis Presley, Sly Stallone whom u clearly dont like yet he's the reason u get to sit n enjoy predator movies bcuz if it weren't for Rambo predator wouldn't have been made though arnie is a sleeze n bedded sly's missus yet u had Arnie as governor in the US for some bizarre reason though so long as he weren't owt to with women's rights then all's cool 😎 i suppose as he's likely bed em instead. " I came into Holleywood in an obtuse way " 😅 Classic Sly. Because not only was he, not a Hollywood insider. With a family in the business, he was a completely opposite outsider. There are no words or quick ways to Summarize or Condense is impact as an actor. A total movie icon. Inspirational in every way. He definitely influenced and impacted my life. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sly are my two Idols and hands down can say I loved both of them for decades. Two different people that came from nothing and change the world. They both overcame all odds. They both deserve the success that they have had because of their perseverance and drive. And really quite humble and self Depreciating. Considering their accomplishments and impact in movies and entertainment and in so many other ways
His daughter: "You guys, we went fishing for two weeks to reel this guest in." Rambo going in for the kill: "Well, maybe you had some holes in your net. Did you think of that?"
That was the most natural, honest interview of a star i've ever seen. He has been a hero in my life since I was a kid. To see this side of him was amazing. What a beautiful family. Thank you girls for showing me this side of your father. He is an amazing gentleman.
The best interview I've ever heard from Stallone. He's the most relaxed talking with his family. I believe the first interview I heard was in the late 70s ( I think? ). He's a somebody and had so much to say! It's the most simplistic of life's walk that makes the best of learning!
@@BalboaBaggins welcome to the 21th century grandma. Nowadays the kids aren't forced into a unhappy marriage to please the churches. It says more about your archaic mindset than about these ladies.

Listening to your interview was SPECTACULAR, I want to thank your dad for teaching and raising you like he did because the both of you are incredible. Girls you have probably the coolest dad ever, I’m almost 50, and I’ve grown up watching all of his work, and have always enjoyed his movies, and now him raw with his girls is an awesome experience! Thank you both

@@rehan2118 It's not a Hindu thing, I don't think. It is more a cultural way of being respectful to someone who isn't a family member but still deemed worthy of respect. I think it is a literal translation of 'sahib', and no, it is not a legacy of colonial rule. People used similar verbiage when 'India' was under Mughal rule or even before that. BTW there are a variety of religions in India. I'm a Roman Catholic from Goa, India. I would say Mr Stallone though.
It is very refreshing to finally see family's from the Hollywood circle industry behaving like a natural healthy human beings! Respect to the parents..
I'm sure MANY of them do. We either just don't hear about it, or the media blows them out of proportion. Being an actor/actress shouldn't come with the stigma that they must be weird or something just because they are acting, because the only real difference is that they chose acting as a career whereas a lot of the rest of us didn't. Their career choice shouldn't be used to define their actual lives.
Sometimes you just got to follow the right role models but these days nobody is a good role model and apparently with the status report not many people are looking up to others for good role models or there isn't anymore.

What a GREAT interview, this 66-year-old grandmother really enjoyed this so much. I learned so much about Sly Stallone. Thank you I loved this interview. You girls and your mother are so beautiful Mr. Stallone is a lucky man.
I grew up admiring his fitness which inspired me to exercise to this very age. I now have even more respect & admiration for his inner strength as a man of character. What a guy. In a world that can be so dark, thanks for shining Sly.
Great job girls - and great interview of your dad, who was one of my many heroes (and everybody’s hero) in the 80s! You guys are an awesome family! Much love and many blessings from Manila!
Whenever i miss my father, i just listen and watch mr stallone, i see my father in him. may god protect you, extend your age and bring you happiness and all your family.
Sly is amazing! His daughters are beautiful and seem so well grounded. As the father of a beautiful and amazing young lady myself, I can totally relate to their close relationship. I have been watching Sly ever since I first saw "Rocky" (and the sequels) as a kid. Whenever I feel down or need inspiration, I watch "Rocky" or listen to ""Eye Of The Tiger." I don't think anyone should look at celebrities as "heroes," but more of an inspiration source from the positive individuals. After hearing about the negatives Sly has been through in life, and seeing how he turned them into positves, I now have even more respect for the man. 👍
People don't realise how amazing Mr. Stallone is. The amount of wisdom he must have. I'd give anything to just sit with him. Not talk or anything, just his aura.
Never commented on any podcast before but…I wanted you guys to know how moving it was to see this side of your family. To see the love, respect & humor. Happy for all of you. Thank you for sharing
This is the most endearing and heartwarming interview ever! Such a loving family... They seem so "normal" and great together... Which seems so rare in Hollywood. Such an enjoyable interview.
When I was a child, and my father was still alive, it was a ritual to watch this man's movies. Pop corn, soda and rented VHS tapes for hours. Seeing it today brings such beautiful moments to my mind since I am part of something very beautiful for me. And I appreciate that, and I really enjoy tulsa king because I have a new excuse to bring my father to my mind.

As someone that was raised by a single parent, I never really missed having a dad due to never having one around in the first place. Yet watching this episode is probably the first time I actually felt as though I actually missed out on something. This family clearly have a great relationship and this episode was a great listen, Much love and respect to the Stallone's.
Same here. I always get the "Oh, I'm so sorry" response when I tell people that, which has always felt odd to me, because, like you say, you never miss anything you don't know what it's like to have in the first place. Besides, fathers always seemed so unnecessarily gruff and demanding to me... lol 😅. I appreciated the comfort of it just being me and my mom. But being a dad myself these days, I see the importance of my presence as a father. There's a certain kind of guidance that you don't usually get from moms in the same way.
They sure love their dad and it's beautiful -- absolute purity shines through their admiration for their dad Rocky and Rambo were my heroes as a child and I watched Rocky 1 or 2 or 3 most every day after school from 3rd grade till I got out of the Marine Corps 😃 I used to hear the Rocky soundtrack in my head every day at football practice
I've always loved Rocky. That character was so humble, and hearing Sly's story behind it, makes me love it even more. I can understand why that character was so real ... that was the point of it. Thanks, Sly for sharing that with us! Thank you, girls for the interview with your dad!
I've always like Sly Stallone and now I like him even more. It seems they have a nice family dynamic. I've never watched the kardashians but I'd watch the Stallones.
Rocky has always and will always be one of the most influential people in my life. I learned how to feel about life watching Rocky! Thank you I love you so so much! My children was raised with examples from Rocky. I come from a two parent home and was surrounded by amazing friends, family and coaches. However, I simply resonated with Rocky because he was always the underdog in and out of the ring.
Sly has been present my whole life, he has been at the top for 40 years but is still under appreciated, he is one of the few in the movie business who's priority is to entertain his audience, he give the people what they want in a fantastic fashion and his only competition in life is now himself! Thanks Sly!
“It aint about how hard you hit. Its about hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep pushing forward. Thats how winning is done.” Best quote to live by. One of my favourite celebrities and hope one day i get the opportunity to meet him.
First time viewer... great job ladies! Your "youth" stories of training in the morning with your Dad coaching you shot-put reminds me of the first 20 seconds to a 1992 song release by the band Extreme from their "3 Sides to Every Story" opening song (titled: "Warheads") where a drill sergeant intensely barks out orders only to hear in reply his young daughter meekly say, "Yes, Daddy...... yes, daddy." OK, gratitude first... "I am soooo grateful to/for your father." In the 1970's. I was the fattest kind in the elementary school. At one point a kid came up, pinched my belly, and said, "Pinch an inch, damn, I can pinch a mile." That was a low day. Then my grandma (a faithful Catholic who reminds me of an older Adrian, btw) took me to go see "Rocky." From then on, I started exercising and learning about nutrition... and eventually lost the fat and went on to winning open racquetball tournaments when I became a satellite antenna engineer in Los Angeles for Hughes Aircraft across from LAX in 1992-5... again thanks in part to your Dad's lessons in "sports psyching." Thank you... and thank him so much for a motivation to change and become so much more... ...including becoming a writer and eventual author. God bless, Brian Shell PassionHero.com

Love you Rocky / Sly ❤️ you were there for me and you didn’t even know it
I'm sorry.. what happened to your family?
The life speech he gives his son in Rocky hits hard every time I hear it

Stallone is a blessed man in life to have such a loving and warm family.

I picked up a former boss of mine and Tampa Bay Florida at the airport and Stallone's on the flight my boss said thrown in first class and Stallone had set coach I couldn't believe how many people were out there waiting and I didn't know what was going on but my boss said that Sly was on the plane it was pretty cool to see him although he was much smaller than I anticipated he was about my size 5 9 1 65 170 180 maybe
wow! that's such a long time! that's impressive! i hope you doing well!
I grew up on Stallone movies. I always wished I had a father like him. Watching this, ear to ear smile. What a legacy, the man is a true legend.
TL TR. Keep it short bro
Never knew your Dads child hood was so challenging. But it made him the survivor he is. You family is adorable❣️
It's so cute that he's allowing a border to cross just because they're his little girls and he loves them with all his heart. And that love is totally reciprocated by the daughters.

Classic Sly.

Ive been watching this man since I was 8 years old,im now 44 and I'm still just as big of a fan as I was back then. Much love Mr Stallone.
The 30 seconds I heard were the best Stallone interview I ever heard too.

Why do Hindus keep calling everyone SIR online?
@@rehan2118 It's not a Hindu thing, I don't think. It is more a cultural way of being respectful to someone who isn't a family member but still deemed worthy of respect.
The way the girls conduct themselves and are so relaxed, confident and articulate makes it clear that they have been raised very well.

Wow.... never seen this side of him. Makes me look at him from a different pov. Very humble, sincere and kind person. Great father too I would assume.
This interview was the best ever of sly, so unguarded and real.
Sly has been present my whole life, he has been at the top for 40 years but is still under appreciated, he is one of the few in the movie business who's priority is to entertain his audience, he give the people what they want in a fantastic fashion and his only competition in life is now himself! Thanks Sly!

First time viewer... great job ladies! Your "youth" stories of training in the morning with your Dad coaching you shot-put reminds me of the first 20 seconds to a 1992 song release by the band Extreme from their "3 Sides to Every Story" opening song (titled: "Warheads") where a drill sergeant intensely barks out orders only to hear in reply his young daughter meekly say, "Yes, Daddy...... yes, daddy."
OK, gratitude first... "I am soooo grateful to/for your father."
In the 1970's. I was the fattest kind in the elementary school. At one point a kid came up, pinched my belly, and said, "Pinch an inch, damn, I can pinch a mile." That was a low day.
Then my grandma (a faithful Catholic who reminds me of an older Adrian, btw) took me to go see "Rocky."
From then on, I started exercising and learning about nutrition... and eventually lost the fat and went on to winning open racquetball tournaments when I became a satellite antenna engineer in Los Angeles for Hughes Aircraft across from LAX in 1992-5... again thanks in part to your Dad's lessons in "sports psyching."
Thank you... and thank him so much for a motivation to change and become so much more...
...including becoming a writer and eventual author.
God bless,
