How is the situation at your place? Are you drinking boiled/filtered water? Are you cooking the food completely? Don’t eat anything without thoroughly washing it/boiling it. Don’t eat anything raw. Congratulations Mark. I grew up using gas stove to cook. Believe or not, this is the normal in Brazil, but it was not so simple, because we had to swap 13kg gas canister when we run out of gas. I remember my mom always keeping 2 canister, one connected on the stove and a spare one (like a tire in the car). After swapped them, we had to keep attention when the gas truck shows up on the street announcing through the loudspeakers the gas to sell. Replacing the canister is a danger procedure because the gas is fatal with you breath it for a some period. Using a sponge soaked with detergent to check if the gas was leaking from the connector. If any bubbles show up, we need to redo the process until it safes. New buildings have a central gas infrastructure. When I came to Canada, I had to adapt myself to Electrical Stove. It was hard, but it looks safer. I remember the first case of a house burned out because gas stove is very strong. We never can leave it unassisted.
