Damn what a way to go out. Impaled, salted, then fried. Probably tasty though.
Fix Six they taste a lot like egg, maybe it’s the protein content
Yeah, if they weren’t just worms then that would be really fucked up.
Fix Six that was hard to watch wtf
ngl that sounds more like a medieval torturing method than a process of preparing food
@@luvarga That actually makes me feel better, I was legitimately saddened by that segment.
Durians, with their super tough rind covered in super sharp spikes and their overwhelming stench, are basically screaming "Don't eat us! Nothing remotely edible here". But SE Asians are like "Nope haha".
SE Asians are in on something.Durian looks like a grenade/weapon.To me it looks and smells like creamy, slightly sweet onion/garlic sauce.I love to watch other Caucasians stare in horror as I enjoy it.
I think people eat them because they saw that the animals were eating them so the humans decided to give it a try
I tried durian for the first time during my trip to China, it didn’t stink, it smelt like fruit markets, I honestly don’t understand how people find it stinky. The flesh had the texture and flavour of custard. It was amazing
Leo Lu omg there's this amazing restaurant that makes durian pizza and they use durian as like a sauce and topping and it's great
Some people find it stinky. For me it's good
It Really Smells Like A Fruit Market
Btw, durian is the best if its from Malaysia. They got the best durian
You might be talking about jackfruit...
I still really want to try the garbage plate.
Храбрый советский солдат wow. just wow. well played.
@Храбрый советский солдат lol terrible joke bro
Holyhell, it's nothing more than deconstructed burger components!
Храбрый советский солдат fucking hilarious, I’m shitting myself with laughter!
I feel like it is the normal dish of this video.
The garbage plate...
IT'S PERFECT
As my mother say, dont eat junk foods, eat funky foods.
I'd definitely eat the stinky tofu than the jellied eel.
ew no. I love Tofu and I love Taiwan, but there's no way Tofu tastes good Stinky. Eel is amazing
As a person who has eaten both, I like the tofu much more than the eel. The eel still tastes good though.
My thing is what could the jelly possibly provide ? I think it would probably be okay by its self
@@princesadepresa5396 they do not cover it in jelly in purpose, obviously. The jelly is just the cooled down eel broth from when it was boiled.
Actually jellied eel doesn't look too bad.
I like eels.... When it grilled like the Japanese version.
Who doesn't like it
@@davudlastname2545 i never had it b4 hhhh
Yes, stinky toufu does help people with digestive problem. I myself have gastric problem and my entire trip to Taiwan is at least 1 set of stinky toufu a day and I literally doesn't have any gastric problem for the entire trip. The problem started again after a week back home. Lol.

Not me
I'm fine with it
It smells good to me, taste nice
But i'm not really into it

If there’s something every and anyone, anywhere in the world can come together for, it’s good food.
I'm from the Philippines, and I believe that Taiwan has one of the best street food in the world.
7:07 "its a very good smell to me!" SAME HERE BUDDY!! Durians lets go!
The durian doesn't actually smell that bad if you're not close to it. I was in Singapore and I saw people selling durians, the smell did come to my nose when I went a bit closer to it, but it didn't smell very bad.
Garbage plate always gets my mouth watering
I just witnessed worm murder.
I ordered a durian smoothie in a food court once & once he dropped it into the blender, the whole food court looked at me 😅
Been recycling that “garbage plate” video for soo long. Seen like 4 videos that contain that story
I spent a semester abroad in college and was in Thailand briefly and I was able to try durian. Honestly it tasted like garlic and caramel. It was peculiar but I liked it.
SamurPie Jack ugh I can’t stand durian. But like the guy said, you either like it, or hate it. I can’t go past the smell and the taste is WEIRDLY sweet??! Like it really tastes like something rotten with sugar on top. My mom on the other hand loves it!
As a Asian i'm not gonna eat the Garbage Plate WITHOUT the *Rice*
The garbage plate and the durians seemed like the most normal ones.
We dutchies farm the best eels in the world
7:06 I agree man...👌👌👌
Customer: This food is garbage
Chef: Correct
I love this channel! Thanks for letting others shine
_Five Funky Food Fallacies._
Those garbage plates are a nightmare to those with OCD. While it personally doesn't effect me, many many people with OCD can't have their food touching. Thankfully my OCD manifests in a way where I can handle having my food touching (because I like eating meatloaf with mashed potatoes, or mashed potatoes with my corn). But for many..oh no. This plate of food would be nightmare inducing.
Jellied eels, eels in jelly, *_JELLIED EELS_*
And of course, the eels are popular in London.
I like how she use to touching the moldy water
Funky foods are the best :)
I forgot i enable auto english sub and it makes me laugh so hard when it try to do subs for chinese..😂😂😂😂😂
*_ABSOLUTE MADLAD_*
"synthesis GE 290 totals are total"
I think it’s called the garbage plate because you have small amounts of different foods, like from garbage cans behind restaurants.
The jellied eels would probably be good with seasonings and some sauce. Just saying lol
Oh so this is where takumi sends tofu
it looks...
*good. What did u think I was going to say huh???*
The stinky tofu is also popular in Changsha
Eel is really delicious, most people can’t get over the fact that an eel looks like a snake.
A Sardines "garbage plate" would be the healthiest one... I like sardines
Same
am I the only one who watched the worms on a stick with a disgusted face but also loved it ?
God i don't know how it feels to be poked& burned alive 5:50
lol the garbage plate reminds me of the loco moco here in Hawaii
I once got hit by a durian and left bruise with darker holes. So don't throw it at each other, especially jackfruit, yes they look identical.
7:56 I think we all can smell durian
Nurgle likes this video. Specially the tofu one
The Ecuadorian guy talked about the worm 2/10 times. Yet the video shows 9.7/10 of the footage are worms
That stinky tofu looks tasty
ok, admit it, watching those "things" wriggle in the bowl is totally mesmerizing, ew, but mesmerizing. Or is it just me.
That garbage plate looks so delicious... It's just messy and that's why I guess it's called garbage plate...
The name originated when some college guys came in and said "give me the plate with all the garbage in it"
The jelly on eels freaks me out.
Pav Bhaji is Lip- Smacking dish originated in 1850s as a midnight dish by street food vendors in Mumbai, made with all leftover vegetables, mashed up together with loads of masala and butter.
Lol it's not made from leftover vegetables, stop misleading people.
@@2291sam Sorry Samarth you are not upto your name , which means capable !! Thanks let me educate you on this, while referring I was talking about the history of "Pav Bhaji" how came into existence, and not the present situation. Please go through some credible source and help yourself. Good luck :)
My man has a loicense for selling those eels
The garbage plate sounds yummy
eels are great but i wish that clip addressed why they came to be served in jelly, it must be interesting
lol they showed the no durians sign from Singapore when they're talking abt malaysia
I know that fermented products like cheese and natto relies on specific fungus or bacteria, but can you say the same for stinky tofu?
Maybe? Till I try it?
i can't believe there are people who hate garbage plates
We just throw every dish that is on the table together on one plate and eat it 😂😂😂
when my friends tell me that durian is horrible I look at them weird because to me it smells like heaven and it even taste like it too lol
That durain farmer talks about the durain so well he making me even try a durian even tho i never had one or smelled one
I love the content you guys put out each and every time! Keep up the great work!
when i say that worm i almost puked i was already a bit sick
It's amazing how the ignorant people are the ones complaining about how food was cooked. Even if you cut those worms in half they'd still be squirming. And, do you really wanna eat your worms not-fresh? I know lobster and some other seafood are kept alive until they are ready to be prepared to prevent food poisoning.
People these days. I bet they don't even know what their food looks like before they were butchered but has the audacity to tell people how to prepare them.
I love stinky tofu , I call my dog stinky tofu
**eating stinky tofu**
Me: *Wait this wasn’t chicken brick*
no one’s gonna talk about how they keep those worms alive during this whole process?
I like durian
because I live in malaysia
“ Wow I can feel the numbness “ that’s the quote of a god
When she touched the green bubbles tho 😭😭🤢🤮☠️
2:08 that claim is true! It can delay symptoms of some diseases
I actually love the smell and taste of durians! In my humble opinion, Cambodian durians are the best, especially Kampot durians.
As south east asian, im the only one in my family who doesn't like durian.
So everytime my family bought a lot of them from the fruit market i just staying way back while my family enjoying it in the kitchen
My mom was really pissed at me in the end, she was like "The fuck is wrong with you weirdo?"
Taiwan is a beautiful country with awesome cuisine! Would love to visit one day
so that's what i forced link to eat in breath of the wild
Tried that tofu at Raohe street market in Taipei.
I would describe myself as a very adventurous foodie.
This made me seriously gag and I couldn’t finish it.
Guess it’s like an Asian person eating Gorgonzola for the first time.
However the food at Raohe street market is literally amazing.
Dumpling heaven.
Herbal pork bone soup is insane.
They have these famous pepper pork buns that are also amazing.
I’ve tryed it
She talks about the health benefits of the tofu but she then deep fried it
I am watching this because my food comes in a hour and I am very hungry xD
I understand that eels were jellied out of necesity. But why not stop? You could make it much more delicious by pan frying it og grilling it. It seems like tradition for traditions sake, putting flavour and very much texture in the back seat.
10:16
PETAS gonna be all over that place
That stinky tofu brine looks like raw sewage. Mmmmmmm.
8:01 the hipsterest thing EVER
This compilation was a little harder to swallow than others you've done! But still interesting :D

3:34 ooooh it can go even crazier! Cow tongue, bull testicles, donkey wiener, bugs, etc. Sardines are like beef to me, not special and extremely common.
