I bought a Samsung Q990B last year. This year I bought another one as I moved abroad and left the old one at home for the folks to enjoy. I visited the local entertainment store and they have the LG Méridien S95 which sounded excellent with the surround speakers and good bass, but the sound felt a little artificial. The JBL 1000 sounded superb in person at the demo room. But I’m sceptical about the detachable speakers. They are so much smaller than the satellites on my Samsung and on the LG. It seems a bit gimmicky to me and I do want the surround feature for my new soundbar.
Hey there! It sounds like you've had quite the journey exploring different soundbar options. I would go for the JBL Bar 1000 it is a touch better than the JBL Bar 9.1 overall. The 1000 is a newer model with some extra features, including Spotify Connect support. Unlike the 9.1, it has a dialogue enhancement tool and two extra HDMI In ports.
Great review...thanks...i have a question pls. I heard someone say that if your tv has ASC but no ATMOS sound, the rear speakers will have no sound! Is that so? And of you do have sound, will it be in atmos effect? Thanks
The JBL Bar 1000 is designed to be a comprehensive sound solution that includes support for Dolby Atmos, a technology that adds height to the audio experience, creating a more immersive 3D sound environment. When a soundbar like the JBL Bar 1000 advertises Dolby Atmos compatibility, it means the system can process Atmos content to deliver an immersive audio experience, including sound from the rear speakers. Hi Ben, there are a couple of options, you can have them plugged in all the time (they come with power plugs) or you can plug them back into main speaker to recharge. They last about 10 hours continuous play. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the post. Are you saying how long it lasts after a charge? I would say I get at least 10 hours out if it. There's no way it's just 4 hours. I charge the speakers and then unplug them a I go a few nights without needing to charge them. Not sure why they say 4 hours, that wouldn't even get 2 movies.
Very happy with my JBL 1000 Soundbar system, although I could have spent a bit more and got the JBL 1300X Soundbar system instead. For the size of my living room, it’s good enough already I suppose.
Hello, I'm asking for advice... I'm thinking between jbl bar 800 and 1000... I own an oled tv LG CX. And the Samsung Q8000 was in Ogre, but I lean more towards the JBL... What are the main differences between the JBL 800 and 1000?
👋 Hi there! Great question regarding the JBL Bar 800 and 1000! 🤔 🔊 The JBL Bar 800 offers fantastic sound quality, perfect for pairing with your LG CX OLED TV. 📺👌 Its sound is clear and immersive, ideal for movies and music. 🎥🎶 🆚 On the other hand, the JBL Bar 1000 steps it up with even more power and a broader soundstage. 🌟 It's designed for those who want that extra oomph in their audio experience, especially in larger rooms. 🏠🔉 🤯 The main differences? Think about room size, sound preferences, and budget. 💰📏 Both are great choices, but the JBL 1000 offers a bit more in terms of overall power and immersion. 💥 👍 Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions. Happy soundbar shopping! 🛒🎵
@@MrYouWho Thanks for the answer... My room is not that big, so the 800 option was enough for me, and the price of 600 euros is not bad... The only thing I can think of is that the 800 option supports dolby atmos, but not dtx? How important is this item in your opinion? Thank you for your reply
Can we play Dolby Atmos dtx via Bluetooth ( I don't have a TV and have paired ipad ) .. please let me know .. seems as if the rear speakers seems rubbish 😰😰😰😰😰
Awesome review! My Bar 5.1 dissapointed as the right rear battery died within 2 years...any idea if this is an on going JBL issue with detachable wireless rear speakers?? Appreciate the input!
Hi Mike, thanks for the comment and watching. I haven't had any issues with all the JBL products I have reviewed and couldn't see anything online. Did you manage to do any troubleshooting? Does it at least charge?
@TomSeky Dobrá otázka! Pro hudbu stereo obvykle poskytuje plnější zvuk, ale JBL soundbar má skvělou jasnost, hlavně pro filmy. Záleží na tom, co hlavně posloucháte! 🎶🔊
@MrYouWho I listen to almost everything in terms of music... I'm attracted to the Soudbar because it has such high power, it doesn't have a stereo amplifier, I had a JBL ultimate and according to the rms it should have the same power as the jbl 1300... I'm just hesitating between the amplifier and the speakers, but if the court will be more efficient, no one has told me so far, thank you very much in advance for your answer
on my jbl bar, the voices seem to have no bass. I've already tried the equalizer and also turning off the smart voice function. What can I do about it?
How’s Sony HT A5000 with sw3 subwoofer with RS3 rear speakers as compared to JBL 1000 or 800 .. please tell as I have to buy this weekend & not able to decide ????
Have you tried the settings through the JBL app? It should help you can increase the volume, bass etc. What are you listening to it with? Thanks for watching :)
@@MrYouWho thanks for replying I think it's fine I think I'm used to having a larger volume range, It seems to be mainly down to the content.. Great soundbar though atmos effect is big step up from my old samsung soundbar.
Haven't actually reviewed the Sony HT-A7000 so can't make a comparison. Although the JBL comes with the sub woofer and rear speakers. The Sony one i believe you have to buy seperately making it more expensive. Thanks for watching!
Does the sound bar have to be powered on for the detachable speakers to get charge up, or will they trickle charge even when the sound bar isn’t on or being used? Thx
ENG: Hi, I buyed this sound bar and I felt wondered, at the first I rate it as a 8.5/10 but because I play it with bluethood or the same unboxed HDMI cable that is't an Ultra Hight Speed Cable, sinse I change it for an HDMI 2.1 my experience with this sound bar blowed up and then I rate it as 10/10 product, the sound is so rich an much more strong than before, I'll send this mesage everywere because my satisfaction is 10/10
Thank you heaps for the comment and watching! I never knew that HDMI 2.1 would make sure a difference, I'm going to do that as well. Thanks heaps again!
Just got this speaker but the sound for the rear speakers is really low. I calibrated them twice, during calibration the rear was loud but after that was low. Is this normal?
No not all, did you get the loud beeps as it calibrated the speakers around you? What have you been listening too? How loud is it when they are playing? Thanks for watching as well 🤗
Hi! Thank you for the quick response. Yea I got the loud beeps from the rears during calibration. After setup, I barely hear the sound from rear (2 feet away) which is weird considering how loud the rear can be during setup. I tested with GOG pt 3 on Disney plus. I wonder how loud was your rears setup?
It was very loud with the beep. And then it works fine. On the JBL One App what is the sound level of the rear speakers, you can adjust it there. Also have you checked the settings on your TV? If it still doesn't work I would suggest reach out to JBL support as the rear speakers are critical to getting the best sound out of the system and they should be very loud
@@MrYouWho Oh it hasn’t happened to me, I just installed it today. I was just wondering if it’s ever been an issue. I’ll play around with it and get familiar with it and see how it performs. Thank You
Yes you sure can! I actually did a RUclips short where I put them up on satellite speakers. You can have them plugged in permanently. Thanks for watching as well
It's a different experience to headphones, but to give you an idea how good they are I heard wind behind me and I thought it was a storm (it was the soundbar), i heard someone laughing and thought there was someone in the room (again the soundbar). It's like having the cinema in your home, so I give it a 9 out of 10. Thanks for watching as well!
Hello @pedro_ferreirinha Thanks heaps for the comment and watching. Here is info for you (sorry about the delay): JBL BAR 1000: If you're looking for powerful, immersive sound with Dolby Atmos support, the JBL BAR 1000 is a strong choice. It has a versatile setup with detachable speakers that can be placed around the room for a more dynamic surround sound experience. The sound quality is generally excellent for movies and music, and it's designed to deliver a full home theater experience. LG S95QR: On the other hand, the LG S95QR is optimized to work seamlessly with LG TVs, offering features like AI Sound Pro, which can enhance the overall audio experience by tailoring the sound output to match what's on screen. The S95QR also supports Dolby Atmos and has an advanced speaker setup with up-firing drivers that enhance the surround sound effect. This model might integrate better with your LG OLED C4 in terms of user interface and overall system harmony. In summary: Go for the JBL BAR 1000 if you prefer a more versatile setup with detachable speakers and slightly more powerful sound. Choose the LG S95QR if you want better integration with your LG TV and features tailored for an LG ecosystem. Either option will pair well with your LG OLED C4 77", so it really comes down to which features are most important to you. Let me know if you need more details or have other questions!

Thank you for the unboxing plus review, however I'm split between 3 soundbars namely this one, Bar 1300X or Samsung Q990B. I will be using this with 65" Samsung S95B (2022). I majorly listen to Apple Music on my Samsung TV, use Disney plus and Netflix seldom
Not sure about the Samsung S95B but you would be definetly good getting either the Bar 1000 or the BAR 1300X, they are both incredible speakers. I watched the entire Star Wars saga on disney and it was incredible. Thanks for watching as well!

@MrYouWho so I see you and jBL days 10hr charge but other reviews and even a best buy worker says it's only about 4hrs. Why am I seeing 10 and 4?
Thanks for the post. Are you saying how long it lasts after a charge? I would say I get at least 10 hours out if it. There's no way it's just 4 hours. I charge the speakers and then unplug them a I go a few nights without needing to charge them.
Not sure why they say 4 hours, that wouldn't even get 2 movies.
Very happy with my JBL 1000 Soundbar system, although I could have spent a bit more and got the JBL 1300X Soundbar system instead. For the size of my living room, it’s good enough already I suppose.
Been searching for a solid sound bar 📢, and this seems to tick all the boxes.

The JBL Bar 1000 speaker has made watching sports so much more enjoyable.

🔊 The JBL Bar 800 offers fantastic sound quality, perfect for pairing with your LG CX OLED TV. 📺👌 Its sound is clear and immersive, ideal for movies and music. 🎥🎶
🆚 On the other hand, the JBL Bar 1000 steps it up with even more power and a broader soundstage. 🌟 It's designed for those who want that extra oomph in their audio experience, especially in larger rooms. 🏠🔉
🤯 The main differences? Think about room size, sound preferences, and budget. 💰📏 Both are great choices, but the JBL 1000 offers a bit more in terms of overall power and immersion. 💥
👍 Hope this helps!
JBL Bar 1000, the ultimate home entertainment upgrade! 🎵

I love hearing when sound can do this for someone
Yes it is absolutely amazing, I love them! Thanks for the comment as well and watching!
Can we play Dolby Atmos dtx via Bluetooth ( I don't have a TV and have paired ipad ) .. please let me know .. seems as if the rear speakers seems rubbish 😰😰😰😰😰
Im looking to get a new sound bar but i cant decide between this and a bose 900. Any ideas on which one?
I haven't used the Bose 900, but I have to say the JBL Bar 1000 is unbelievable. Have you made a decision?
Awesome review! My Bar 5.1 dissapointed as the right rear battery died within 2 years...any idea if this is an on going JBL issue with detachable wireless rear speakers?? Appreciate the input!
Hi Mike, thanks for the comment and watching. I haven't had any issues with all the JBL products I have reviewed and couldn't see anything online. Did you manage to do any troubleshooting? Does it at least charge?
@@MrYouWho yes it stopped charging on the soundbar and then tried it manually with tech support. They told me to send it in.
Sorry to hear Mike yeah I would probably send it in, get them to have a look. It should definitely last longer than 2 years!
Oh Man! the sound bar are incredible it’s worth it
@MrYouWho I listen to almost everything in terms of music...
I had a jbl 9.1 bar. I was wondering and seeing g reviews saying this isn't much of an upgrade. But in my opinion it is. It's so much better
Thanks heaps for the comment and watching, your support is really appreciated! 😀
Sleek design and powerful sound, count me in! 🔊
Really appreciate this, it's great to see my channel is making a difference, thank you so much for your support! 🤗
on my jbl bar, the voices seem to have no bass. I've already tried the equalizer and also turning off the smart voice function. What can I do about it?
Have you used the App or the remote control to set the bass to the highest level? What are you listening too?
@@MrYouWho yes. i am listening soccer on TV
@lagartolmd it might be the program your watching, voice doesn’t normally have bass, have you tried it with movies?
@@MrYouWho yes
How does it compare with th JBL BAR 9.1?
How’s Sony HT A5000 with sw3 subwoofer with RS3 rear speakers as compared to JBL 1000 or 800 .. please tell as I have to buy this weekend & not able to decide ????
Sorry i didn't cone back to you earlier. Haven't actually tested that product. Did you end up buying anything?
Just arrived today, it's good however I find the volume seems to be quite low and find I'm having to go to max can anything be done about this?
Have you tried the settings through the JBL app? It should help you can increase the volume, bass etc. What are you listening to it with? Thanks for watching :)
@@MrYouWho thanks for replying I think it's fine I think I'm used to having a larger volume range, It seems to be mainly down to the content.. Great soundbar though atmos effect is big step up from my old samsung soundbar.
It feels like I'm in a movie theater!
Really appreciate this, it's great to see my channel is making a difference, thank you so much for your support! 🤗
I'm tempted to get this, how does this compare with Sony HT-A7000
Haven't actually reviewed the Sony HT-A7000 so can't make a comparison.
Thx
Thanks for watching! No it charges even when the speaker isn't on. So it does trickle charge
How loud are the back speakers?
They are really loud, and they balance perfectly with the front speakers!
🚀 Just upgraded to the JBL Bar 1000 and the difference is night and day!
Thanks heaps for the comment and watching, your support is really appreciated! 😀
This is awesome!
Thanks heaps for the comment and watching, your support is really appreciated! 😀
Is this better than the Samsung 990c?
Have you ever experienced the sound cutting out during playback? Since it is wireless, I am curious about that. Thx
No I haven't had that happen at all. How often is it happening? And what are you watching (ie TV, Casting from phone etc)
@@MrYouWho Oh it hasn’t happened to me, I just installed it today. I was just wondering if it’s ever been an issue. I’ll play around with it and get familiar with it and see how it performs. Thank You
@@tundrawhisperer4821did you face any sound cutting issue yet?
Can i have the rear speakers hooked on usb-c charger and still use them? I want mount them permanently on the back.
Yes you sure can! I actually did a RUclips short where I put them up on satellite speakers. You can have them plugged in permanently.
Thanks for watching as well
how would you rate this soundbar vs dobly atmos headphones on a scale from 1-10?
It's a different experience to headphones, but to give you an idea how good they are I heard wind behind me and I thought it was a storm (it was the soundbar), i heard someone laughing and thought there was someone in the room (again the soundbar). It's like having the cinema in your home, so I give it a 9 out of 10. Thanks for watching as well!
How does it compare with samsung q990b

I´m between the JBL BAR 1000 or the LGS95QR, for a LG OLED C4 77".
Hello @pedro_ferreirinha Thanks heaps for the comment and watching. Here is info for you (sorry about the delay):
JBL BAR 1000: If you're looking for powerful, immersive sound with Dolby Atmos support, the JBL BAR 1000 is a strong choice.
In summary:
Go for the JBL BAR 1000 if you prefer a more versatile setup with detachable speakers and slightly more powerful sound.
Choose the LG S95QR if you want better integration with your LG TV and features tailored for an LG ecosystem.
Either option will pair well with your LG OLED C4 77", so it really comes down to which features are most important to you. Let me know if you need more details or have other questions!
recharge the detachable speakers only with soundbar standby mode is disappointed
Thank you for watching and the comment. Sorry are you saying you don't like the standby mode? I think it's great it saves power!
How does it compare with samsung q990b?
I don't think it will be a fair comparison samsung have more speakers
A top-quality sound bar? From the looks of this review, JBL Bar 1000 fits the bill! 🥇

Iver rebuilt engines easier than simply getting this TV to work with optical
Hello @offroaddiaries Thanks heaps for the comment and watching, what's been the challenge?
@@MrYouWho no matter what I do it would never work with optical. Only HDMI. Which is fine.

Satelite battery life is poor, gives only 2 to 3 hours of back up, Can anyone confirm if they are also getting same battery life?
You should be getting heaps more that that, I generally get at least 10 hours.
How do you charge them? Is it both speakers?
@@MrYouWho Thanks for reply..Yes both speaker gives same back up. I charge them fully and keep it detached till low battery. I usually listen two times in a week for one hour around and after one week (2 hours of active usage) it shows battery low. is the battery gets drained when not using it?
Been using a different brand 📢, but after this, I might just switch to JBL!

@@MrYouWho but I guess you are taking Samsung S95B as a soundbar, it's a TV. The soundbar I was making comparison was Samsung Q990B
Apologies I meant to write that I haven't tested the Q990B so can't really provide a comment on it 😃
I own 2 q990b soundbars. And I’d say for music they are not the best. Movies yes they are great. The JBL is better for music. But in sceptical about the detachable speakers and just how good they actually perform vs the Samsung satellite speakers which are much bigger.
Hola 990c o jbl 1000 ñ
