I was surprised and disappointed when Mike Brown left the Warriors for the Kings. That was a good fit and the Warriors lost someone important when he departed.. I was not surprised and not disappointed when ex Warrior coach Luke Walton went to the Kings after getting fired by the Lakers. Luke's career as an NBA coach probably ended with the Kings. That will not be the case with Mike Brown. Best wishes to him.
No matter how good a coach you are, sooner or later players will get tired of you, tired of their teammates, tired of the team, tired of the city, tired of the job, and tired of competing altogether. That's natural - people get stuck on a rut and want a change of scenery. The problem is coaches always get the blame and replacing them is the easy fix for that change in scenery.
