Seen this movie half a dozen times and you know what i JUST noticed? When the dentist asks the kid if he was feeling any 'pain', the 'pane' of glass that kills him comes into shot right outside the window! Not sure if intentional but is such a clever play on words with the visual that i hope it was on purpose.
Devon Sawa was suppose to reprise his role as Alex along with Ali Larter who plays Clear but I think he wanted more money in order for him to return so the deal was off and his character was killed off.
The openings for the first 3 films are definitely the best ones. After watching this movie I don’t even drive behind trucks and the third one increased my fear of roller coasters and speaking of having sex with a heart attack you should watch X by a24 it’s an amazing time
I think the mortician guy is more like a Grim Reaper than Death itself. Clear was able to leave, because she voluntarily admitted herself. I really liked the idea of this movie where death was working backwards. Also that their deaths were intervened by the survivors of the plane crash deaths. This is one of my favorites from the franchise and the fifth. I hope you continue watching the others.
How did I not realize this way before! SPOILER: 6 air fresheners represents the 6 survivors that were supposed to die in the pile up. That’s why there are six hung on that rear view mirror. And notice how the air fresheners are pine trees, in Final Destination 3, in a special feature of the movie, we later find out that The last two survivors had died by being eaten by a tree shredder.
22:14 You calling her Claire was the highlight lol it made me cackle. Her name is pronounced as its spelt, clear. Like clear sky, clear water etc. Not Claire. She put herself in the institute....I'd do the same tbh

I’m 38 years old, but to this day I won’t listen to “Highway to Hell” in the car because of this stupid movie lol. And literally 2 days ago a log truck pulled out on the highway in front of me, and naturally I booked it to the left lane because there’s no way I’m driving behind that. Thanks FD2!
Lmao, you trying to kill that spider was literally me Sunday trying to kill a giant hooping spider. I had to call my friend (while crying/laughing) to hype me up
Final Destination 2: a movie I saw way too young and one of the reasons why I get major panic attacks whenever I'm behind the wheel! I know I ain't the only one, either. These movies just fucking do that haha
The iconic log truck sequence was achieved by , If I remember right, by shutting down a section of highway, and used all practical effects and stunt people, the only digital effects used were for wire removal for the stunt people and the logs, since the practical logs didn't bounce the way the production wanted
I believe they revealed in a deleted scene from FD3 that Kimberly and the deputy were killed in a woodchipper accident in a hardware store. They didn't show it, it was on a newspaper in the subway station near the end of the movie.
Originally in the first movie, they were gonna do Clear getting pregnant and giving birth. For the new life thing. Leading them to be safe, but apparently Test Audiences thought it was dumb and they had the Paris ending instead. And used that concept in this movie instead.
42:22 I think that depends. Qua extreme intense pain, burning alive would be the winner. Qua length/duration it def would be drowning. Burning alive doesn't really take all that long, considering a lot of factors take place that shorten the pain sensation like the destruction of your nerve system and if you're lucky you suffocate from the smoke before experiencing the burning in of itself. The time that it does take to kill you might be relative short, the pain you experience during it must be tremendously awfull. Most would die due to cardiac shock, cause the heart can't take intense heat for that long and the human body just shuts down during intense stress levels like this. Drowing is a longer process, and has a longer build up. It is said that drowning becomes painfull when you start to breathe, while still being under water. you see, holding your breath until you pass out on purpose is not possible. At some point your body forces you to start breathing and it doesn't matter where you are right then. Therefore filling your lungs up with water and they implode as a result. this is still not the thing that takes you out. Eventually it is the brain that shuts down and after that your body functions start to drop too, slowly. How conscious you are is up to debate but considering it takes quite some time it is not pleasant. So yeah, short intense pain or long stressfull shut down. Take your pick XD

My cousin had a virus that randomly played the whispering intro "Let the bodies hit the floor" or when he screams when the music kicks in. We'd be falling asleep and then hear quiet whispering. Unsettling.
I deal with thicc bootied cat spiders on a near daily basis but that’s about as big as they get where I live lol, they’re slow and if they fall from too high (really any height) they splat on the ground😂
I swear this movie is exactly why I stay away from semi trucks or giant trucks with lumber on the back or steel rods, anything in the back really. I slow down or floor it to past them
36:57 "I don't think that's going to explode, there's not a fire or anything" My man, this is Final Destination. Things explode when you look at them funny.
The first film took place on Long Island, where aside from the first four months of my life I've lived here since. The plane explosion was based off the IRL incident of Flight 800 that occurred in the same area. So #2 is in the same general area, where you only get a 5 cent deposit for recyclables. I believe Michigan is the only state in America atm where you get 10 cents per. Its actually a crime to bring these materials out of state into the region if you're not a resident there. Seinfeld might've actually paid homage to the concept, back in the day. And Devon Sawa was supposed to reprise his role as Alex Browning, but a deal with his contract between himself and New Line Cinema wasn't reached which resulted in him being cut.
The reason mom named her clear was to make a cute pun of her name, you know "clear rivers" adverse to muddy rivers, I know someone who's parents named them Robyn and their last name was graves (robbin' graves)
36:18 what always bugs me is then how was the lottery kid, and the mother/son linked? They used up all the previous deaths? Like obviously one had to deal with alex but then their order doesnt make sense.
Fun little fact: water is universally reconsidered as a symbol of life and rebirth. So its ironic that several deaths involve or are directly related to water. Final Desination: 1-Tod slips on water 2- Teacher boils water, ice causes crack in glass 3-Billy's head is decapitated with pavement that looks like a rain happened recently 4- Alec almost drowns in puddle 5- Claire pool breaks Final Destination 2: 1- Fish tank almost electrocuted mom. Also fish mobile in office 2- Claire RIVERS causes explosion by opening door 3- Kimberly drowns herself to life Final Destination 3: 1- icee drinks spills and causes room to overheat, leading to tanning beds exploding And the list just keeps going
I don't think the officer would have had time to write that down in his log book.. But he certainly had time to drop a log in his pants! Loving your reactions btw, looking forward to the rest of these movies!
The first time I watch Bate's Motel, I was sitting there wondering where I seen that teacher from and now I know. I did knew that the girl that had the premonition was on Criminal Minds but in this movie, she had dark hair
This movie gave me more anxiety than every other movie combined. Not every other final destination movie, but every OTHER movie that I have ever watched ever. I will get off the highway before I get behind a log truck.
You can hear an instrumental version of John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. first in the Dentist Office and in the elevator In the apartment complex where Burke lives.
It's been a while since I've seen this one in particular (despite the fact that I saw it dozens of times growing up) and I'm not sure it holds up for me. Although the coolest bit is definitely that they were all connected to the characters in the first movie via how those characters died. Imagine avoiding death and then dying a couple of years later by slipping on some spaghetti in an alleyway
By the way in the first movie you're holding about rooting for Alex cuz you got the same name I watched a guy called Billy binges watching this and he was so pissed when Sean William Scott character got decapitated because his name is Billy and he always pulls for the Billy's hence the reason in the first scream he was so upset that Billy was the killer
So I know this video is some months old, but you'll be surprised to know that most of the death sequences in all the Final Destination films were mostly practical aside from a few cgi elements to enhance them. This includes the car crash which (along with this film and the 4th) was directed by late/famed action director David R. Ellis. He had stunt drivers perform the car stunts, and added dummies to play Kimberly's friends in the red SUV in the opening crash. They actually dropped a real glass pane on a dummy filled with blood and explosive charges to get the visceral blood effect, however they green screened extra pigeons to fly past the actress who played the boys mom, adding a dark layer of humor to the scene. These movies, in terms of how the special fx were done, are a relic but a rare art that is not common today as most things are done with CGI.
I don’t live with huntsman spiders but having tarantulas the size of your fist in your home or scorpions on your ceiling is horrifying. Gotta love south Texas💀
42:30 I drowned when I was 12 years old it really only feels like you’re being suffocated but it’s not very painful. Ps some old lady saved my life and I’m so thankful she did.
In 2023, there were at least two known car crashs where death came from a logging truck having a log dislodge and go through the windshield and killing someone. Also, it apparently happens frequently. All the deaths in Final Destination are actually based on real, recorded deaths.... so technically you should be scared of these things happening 😅 we also don't/aren't required to do trauma warnings on the news in the US. They just show unhinged and horrifc things to us.
One of my dearest friends lives in Australia and i can never go visit them bc i would just be in hysterics the entire time due to the spiders. As a fellow arachnophobe, i hope you can move away soon. Also we dont have huntsmen, but we have wolf spiders just about everywhere and in the deserts... Camel spiders... One got into my house once... Massive nasty business.
Yay next one is FINAL DESTINATION 3 aka my absolute favorite in this franchise! Cant wait and of course amazing reaction as always, you have such quality content and NEVER dissapoint! Don't know what plugin you use to stop ads and automatic links, but may I suggest UBlock Origin? Works like a charm and blocks so, so many things. That aside, I am terrified of the pileup scene for a different reason. I have seen videos to my great regret of how something small and hard can kill you through the windshield like a bullet. Don't stay close to or behind ANYTHING with possible loose items such as bricks, rocks, planks, etc. Even though they don't seem capable, going at such a high speed those items bounce right up like a grenade should they fall off the vehicle, high enough to be right where your head is. It's straight up more horrifying than this movie's more realistic sounding logs of doom. Love your reactions, by the way. Immense riot material for me!
Yeah her name isn't Claire, it's Clear and I was waiting for your reaction when it was revealed that Alex died off screen, when this came out I was so disappointed in the fact that Devon sawa was not in the movie I didn't really give the plot a chance and refused for years to watch the rest of the movies. It wasn't until 2020 that I decided to watch the all of the movies in order and fell in love with 1,2,3, and 5. 4 was ok but it was a little weak imo
I think drowning especially in freezing cold water wouldn't be a bad way to go compared to burning. I forgot why but I think if the waters cold enough you just go into shock. Theres some science its been awhile.

"No one would do that!" You must be new to ...Earth lol
Yay next one is FINAL DESTINATION 3 aka my absolute favorite in this franchise! Cant wait and of course amazing reaction as always, you have such quality content and NEVER dissapoint! Keep up the good job & if you have a chance I would love to see you react to WRONG TURN & SPECIES franchise, both really good!
Can't wait to see the reaction to Final Destination 3 its my fave
Woke up to a puggapillar video today's great
Don't know what plugin you use to stop ads and automatic links, but may I suggest UBlock Origin?
Damn, thank you so much. Hopefully the riots I start are kind of peaceful? 🤨
@@Puggapillar Oh, I mean laughing riot!
Got a few loud guffaws out of me!
Drowning is worse because while being burnt alive your nerves would eventually burn off and youd stop feeling pain
Omg I just realized that Kimberly is JJ on Criminal Minds! Lol.
This is why I can only watch these movies through reaction videos cause I’m wincing even with the scary parts blurred out lol
I absolutely love 1, 2, 3, and 5 of this series. 4 is kind of shit but at least you reacting to it will make it better lol.
Hahaha welcome to the "I am not driving being a log truck ever again in my life" club.
