- Funerals have been taking place in Thailand for those who were killed, many of them children, following the country’s worst mass killing.
A total of 37 people, including 23 children, were killed in a gun and knife attack by a former policeman who went on a rampage at a childcare centre in north-east Thailand.
Thailand's prime minister and members of his cabinet were in attendance at the funerals as family members bid farewell to the victims of an attack that has shocked the nation.

You dropped off your children to school, hours later you learned that they've been murder. Unbearable pain, caused by a heartless monster. 💔
This is a heartless monster that could do an unthinkable act, he should have gotten help before he did the horrendous thing by taking the lives of the 37 innocent people.

I'm grateful that the King offered such respect and condolences for these innocent souls. I hope that this tragedy is used to educate other schools, to protect themselves and keep children safe. Mostly my heart is crying for all of those families and the community having to come to terms with this terrible loss. May their loved ones rest in peace and the ones left behind find some respite from their grief.

What is especially sad is that a young girl was the only child survivor of this terrible tragedy. She is gonna have PTSD for the rest of her life. She was even taken away from the blood and wasn’t told what was happening.
This is normal in Thailand. Dont overact . Kids die everyday. Not a big deal
She was shielded from it and still sleeping. But she will question why she survived I'm sure, may she live a long life and be a defender against evil. . Buddhists are very spiritual she will be well cared for..

The news reports keep saying nursery or daycare but it is a school. In Thailand children start school when they are 2 yrs. My son teaches K3 in Thailand to 5 yr old children and it is their third year of school. Education is much more advanced there. Children are cherished in Thailand. This is so sad! 😢
Feels a bit unrespectful to stand around talking while people are mourning. You can even see in the clip how people turn around and stare at the reporter. Maybe give the mourners some space?
