I m at ep 10 now and I m really i love with this drama. I m completely amazed by the expression Shang put in his face when he performs in opera. He just mesmerized me everytime he puts on makeup. And their chemistry is just wow.

I remember watching this drama completely wrecking me and me loving every second of it. Imo, Chinese BL have the best storylines and acting. Such unique concepts and the chemistry is amazing. Too bad they suffer from the Chinese government 'curse'. BL turned bromance (which I still consider romance but subtle) have the best adaptations because of a higher budget. Unless they add a female love interest or a tragic ending, then everything is ruined. But with the success of the Untamed, I hope more will follow. We have guardian and winter begonia too. As for donghua, we're getting TGCF and SVSSS from the same author as CQL. Pretty confident that they'll have live-action adaptations too. So I'm excited. Let's hope we're not disappointed.

We got a few novel live action dramas next year. The white cat shizun and that novel by Priest (i forgot the title). I really looking forward to it because tbh none of thai drama attracts me at this point, all looking bland compared to chinese drama. And i cant imagine if we get live adaptation for svsss and heaven's official, it would be heaven 😍
Gosh I have to agree about the thai dramas. Everytime a new one is anounced, I get my hopes up but end up being disappointed 😔 No diversity or depth. Just generic drama. Don't even mind the school/university setting. It's just that the direction is so poor. Instead developing complex characters and the story/plot, the focus is more on fanservice. Cute guys in ridiculous slow-mo fanservice-y scenarios. It's so bright and sparkling i think I'm gonna get blinded xD the actors are young and inexperienced so there is awkwardness. And don't even get me started on the creepy squealing girls that do nothing but obssess over ships and take pics without consent. Why? Is that how they think us shippers are? 😒 chinese/japanese bl are superior. And I'm curious about the chinese novels! Will check em out. Yes tgcf and svsss live action would be awesome 😄

Was recommended to this series by a friend who doesn’t really watch BL..shows how successful the adaptation is in terms of censorship🤣but tbh even when viewed as pure friendship their relationship is still really touching, so props to the director for making an awesome series!

I loved everything till the end. I was so disappointed. But , I will say watch it because it is a great show. I cannot say how riveting it was and kept you addicted to see the next scene. I cried at the ending because I hope with all my heart the novel does not end like this. I watched the alternate ending and if I had not seen the first one, I might be pacified....I do commend the writer though. I love the story in general, and I am sure they had their reasons for ending the movie like that, but I for one cannot repeat watch it. I might try to read the novel, but if the novel ends the same sad way I will not. I still recommend it highly for people to watch though.

Yes they both alive. But the ending was kinda open ending ish. CFT is leaving Beijing to escape to HK and he gave a ticket to SXR to follow him and the last scene was SXR running to the train station while CFT waiting for him at the station. The drama makes it as if SXR didn't make it but tbh you dont really know if he really missed the train or not. CFT hasn't boarded the train yet. So yeah, as long as you are optimist enough, you gonna believe that SXR managed to get to the station on time. Or alternatively, he can just board next train and find CFT in HK, it will not be that difficult for him to find CFT there. So yeah I kinda like how the drama and also novel left it on open ending note, it's depends on your imagination to create the continuation for their story :)
