While this particular part no. works for the Janome M7, MC9450 and MC9400, there are circular sewing attachments available for other Janome models. Check with your local Janome dealer to find out which part no. works for your Janome model.
This is an improvement over the circular sewing attachment that came with my Janome MC10001.. It simply had the portion that snapped into the bobbin area and no stabilizer screw… Well, it popped out easily. I learned a trick from our beloved and departed friend Nancy Zeiman. You can also "stitch inside" an embroidery hoop- that is clever, but limited to only certain projects.. Thank you !!!!
Great video. I've used my circular sewing attachment many times. This exact same part # also fits the Janome Skyline 9 sewing/embroidery machine. I just love your videos. You explain everything so well...and you have wonderful camera angles. Thanks. Please keep teaching us. I realize this video is "labeled" for Janome M7...but I wish videos like this didn't steer us toward a certain model. Your instructions apply to so many models of the Janome machines. When I first got my Skyline 9 machine, I was trying to find out all I could about this model. I was limited to what came up in the search because I "labeled" the search for Skyline 9. I realize I can watch most of the Janome videos and learn from each one. Especially any of the embroidery machine videos. And sometimes...sometimes I can even learn from videos geared for other machines. Again...thanks for such a great sewing channel!
Yes, sometimes the information I have in a video applies to other models too - but sometimes it doesn't and often the attachment that fits one model won't fit another so to be on the safe side... I label my videos for the machine I'm actually working on. Glad you found the videos helpful for your S9 as well.

Robbie and Toni Fanning in the 1970s wrote books on machine embroidery and machine quilting. She taped down a thin tack and popped an eraser an it. Wonder what she would think of the m7.
Do you have instructions for the s7 circle maker
No as I don't work with this machine, but the attaching and using of the attachment should be the same. You might need a different model of attachment but otherwise it should be the same technique.
Will this work on multiple layers of fabric for sewing on the circle piece on top of a dresden ?
I think that it should but I've never tried it. You'll have to play around with adjusting it to the appropriate size, of course, but I don't think you should have any problems sewing through several fabric layers.
