@Epic-Evan Because back then, parents for the most part actually sat down with their kids and you know, parented as opposed to now; either not giving a shit or just wrapping them up in cotton wool, thinking that they need to be coddled or conforming to some PC bullshit in what's apparently 'best' for their kids. Edit: Case in point - myself. I was allowed to watch horror movies from as young as I was able to walk and talk, allowed to play games like Duke Nukem and Resident Evil by the time I was 8. I'm now almost thirty one and not once have I gotten in trouble with the law or had some ridiculous delusion as to what's real or about what's right and what's wrong.
That moment a young boy in the 90s realized, that he really made it out of that horror mansion :-D best gaming memories i have made back then with this game.
*Meanwhile, at the helicopter* Jill: so... what should we do now? Chris: ....you thinking what I'm thinking? Jill: ...you wanna do it here, on this helicopter?? Chris: it's still dawn.. ;) *music plays*
I had to play the demonstration edition of Resident Evil 1 and it was scary playing it on Windows 95 with a keyboard and mouse. I'm glad I stopped playing this game because I was alone, and in the dark night, of the dining room of my dad's house when I played as "Jill" for the first time ever in the history of the Resident Evil series. This was the late 1990s Decade in which this occured for my personal life.
The beginning with the piano keys reminds me of some old 80s song from maybe Vice City or else, that goes like: "you made all my dreams come trueeeeee...." (these lyrics is just my interpretation) It's 1 AM and I can't sleep because I can't remember the song. It's something similar to Speedwagon I guess. FUCK, HELP ME, I BEG YOU OR I WOULD NEVER EVER COULD SLEEP IN MY LIFE
You said exactly what I was thinking. That's what I loved about this track. It sounds like the 80's rock music that enjoyed during my high-school years. Nostalgia at it's best. 😊
samuraispiritsx depending on your tastes, but heres some i thought where great yakuza 3,4,5, dead souls bayonetta 1+2 madworld and anarchy reigns (its rap but even people who hate rap including myself love it) metal gear rising revengeance final fantasy type-0 hd warriors orochi 3 ultra street fighter 4 devil may cry 4 fist of the north star kens rage 1+2 blazblue chronophantasma double dragon neon bionic commando rearmed 1 sleeping dogs i cant name everything here of course lol but those are just some of the best ones
***** I disagree largely with that list and a lot of these games are mad old. DMC4, really? That shit is 7 years old and would not consider it modern. And jesus, you have a castlevania icon, some of the BEST and most iconic music to ever be done for a video game series, the stuff coming out today can not stand up to that, it's very generic for the most part. There are exceptions, of corse. But largely uninspired. At least for me.
ps3 still modern, the games comin on ps4 btw neway. and i agree castlevania has some of the best music, but its a matter of taste mostly. the games i listed though dont have generic songs, pick a random one of those games n look up the ost.
@@xIJHSIx Late but this is true. The conception that it was the D.C. that messed up the music is because PSN mislabels the Dualshock version as the D.C., even using the D.C.'s cover art. But the first D.C. (And Deadly Silence for that matter, the best version of OG RE1) had the OG music, not the garbo Dualshock Music.
Definitely not what I expected when I clicked on a Resident Evil OST playlist.

Why would your parents buy or let you buy an M rated game?

This game and Metal Gear, those were epic gaming experiences. The kind of experience youwill never forget.

What better way to add to a horror game than with a cheesy rock song?
this music was so out of place but once you beat the game the first time it was so relaxing .
You've defeated more than 100 zombies, monsters... even a Tyrant, but... Still Dawn, the sun rises again for a new tomorrow.
*Me:* Clicks on Resident Evil OST playlist to hear some creepy music.
*The first music track on playlist:* Emerald Coast theme
The start of the song is like something from Sega's Outrun games but then turns into Sonic Adventure.
Omg Exactly, this music defenitely belongs to sega games

Beat ending song to a lengenery game
Yeah, this is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a horror game.
Hits even harder when you reached the best possible ending, aka everybody saved and in the chopper and the villa gets blown into pieces.
