My buddy mentioned the Pantone challenge in twitter so i had to look it up. It may be just me but i don’t see how this is a “challenge”. This literally takes no skill 😂
Hahaha 😂 Well the cinnamon “challenge” or ice bucket “challenge” didn’t require skill either. I think the meaning of “challenge” on the Internet has evolved to “thing you should do because everyone else is.” And practically speaking, it makes no sense. Pantone color/ink is used for printing, and more specifically, printing 1 or 2 colors (eg. A logo). Pantone ink is expensive. You’d never print a photo with Pantone ink. A hex code challenge would make sense, but require more skill and wouldn’t appeal to the masses because it’s not just one click on your phone.
@@RunNGunPhoto Hmm, how do I categorize the colours I have in an image together? Not sure categorize is the right word to use ...like, with the pantone challenge, guys were putting the colours on their images, how do you do that? Its also in your intro...i hope I've made sense....
Sharky, essentially yes! The challenge is very basic. You open your photo in the Pantone app, and select the part of the image that you want to sample color from. You can select 5 different spots in the image and the app will create a general color palette of your image. The challenge is more fun than practical. Just a neat way to show off your images and editing. Hope that helps you and Beny a bit!
That intro hits me in the feels. I had no idea what was going on.
Thanks for Watching Beny! Is that good or bad? I wanted to make the viewer feel what it’s like to be a military photographer.
*Have you participated in the **#PantoneChallenge** yet? What's your favorite Pantone?*
This was so helpful, I was trying to figure out how to do the challenge. thank you!
Glad I could help Ashley! Hope you subscribe for more photo challenges 🙌🏻

Absolutely! I was going to add that to the end of the video and completely forgot!

In the Pantone app, you can save your photo with the color palette added to the image.
That’s very strange Christine, and iOS app adds it to the photo. You could add it later in Photoshop as well.
Pantone challenge haha love it!
Thanks For watching Wen! Did you do the challenge?
I still don't get it
Is there something I can help explain, Sharkenvo?
