Susan's concerned about M.J., because he's the giraffe in maths. Then she learns that her son doesn't know which the right side is. Susan decides to talk to Mike, because she fears that M.J. might be slow. Mike tries to convince his wife that their son is a smart little boy. But it turns out that he's mistaken when M.J. got his hand stuck in the glass and can't take
it out. Finally he succeeds and Mike and Susan are convinced that he's smart after all, they can't be happier...but moment later Susan's put straight about her son's intelligence when she sees him heading toward the toaster with a fork.

When i was a kid i built a snowman in my bedroom by carrying buckets of snow inside. When my parents asked me why i did that, i said because it was too cold out to built one on the garden.
Today i'm a veterinarian and ethologist with three PhD.
Be good to your kids parents out there and let them make mistakes (not deadly ones), we learn more from personal experience than from scolding.
My parents just said nothing expect getting a dictionary opening at Snow and making me read about it. I still didn't get it until a few hours later when Olaf was dead and my mother showed up again with buckets and rags and told me that i now had to mop everything up. I learned my lesson.

I hated the deaths of Edie, Karl, and Mike. All such lovable characters. Ruined the show for me for a long time, now six years later I’m binging it from the beginning on Hulu and remembering all those tearjerker moments 😭😭😭

The way that school grades kids that MJ goes to is the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard in education. Is Susan sure the people who run that school aren’t the slow ones?
A lot of schools do this actually and yes it’s pretty ridiculous because all it does is label kids as this/that and tell them what they can/can’t do. They don’t give them extra help either.
Not really, the important thing in education (especially in the early stages when you are setting learning foundations) is to accommodate learning to the speed at which the kids can grasp and retain concepts and information. Not all kids can learn at the same speed, so curating the curriculum to ensure that their learning is comprehensive is a tool to create equity. Also learning is dynamic, not every kid will learn multiplications the same way, so in this show each group is being taught with a unique approach to make sure they don't fall behind. This concept is also seen in high school, where you have tiers such as pre advance placement and advanced placement.

I have to disagree with you on that. My grandma had my dad at the age of 40 unexpected and my dad is no where near slow. On the other hand, my parents had me in their early 30`s and I'm slow and probs 2% of the time I'm not slow
