Overall, a nice refresh. I was hoping someday they use an animated laser-mapped version of Mara's spirit in the Candle Room scrim. It still looks like a cheap static slide projection.
The concept art has a Mara summoning sequence inside the skull. The pedestal is still there and there’s an area above for a potential projection. Looks like a last minute cut.
The should have fixed the fog effect so it can have the lava appeareance instead of orange lights in the floor 🥴
Happy that the snake is new and working, but it moves too so slow for this day and age. I’m still disappointed that the collapsing bridge is still not working and the moving doors are still not operational. Disney really needs to dump money on making those iconic effects to have them work again.
Sadly some fx will never be fixed like the moving doors at the beginning. It has to do with the structure of the building and would be way too costly to repair! I am an ex cast member and have personally talked with attractions cast members about indy being repaired in the past. In order to fix the moving doors the attraction would have to be down for a very long time because they would have to uproot the structures of the room. I would love to see a 100 percent fix to the indy attraction but sadly that will never happen!
Oh wow!! It’s been brought back to its glory and even beyond! The snake is functioning again! Yay!!
Not yet unfortunately, we still need the LCU to be fixed, and the second projector in the bug room is turned off, but mainly, we really need the LCU to be fixed
indy didnt say shit in the gates of doom lmaooo
Checklist…
Snake fixed
Boulder room fixed
Added projection effects
Couldn’t tell if shaky bridge was fixed.
This is SO different from the ride at Paris Disneyland which a full-out coaster without the dark ride part at all: ruclips.net/video/KK-GQOkF1xw/видео.html
I was at Disneyland Paris at night and hopped on the Indiana Jones ride, expecting it to be like Disneyland ride. It..umm...wasn't. Because it was night, I couldn't see anything that was going to happen, so I was completely surprised. I am not a huge coaster fan, so it was unnerving to have no idea what was coming.
I see they didn’t fix Sallah’s spiel at the end and you still get offered strollers no matter what door you went through.
Huh ?
It’s been broken for years. I lost hope.
WOW. After all these years, and internet complaints, they FINALLY got around to (hopefully permanently) fixing the boulder! If McDonald's ever fixes their ice cream machines, the internet may not have anything else to complain about!
This video made me so happy, I have high hopes that Team Disney Burbank understands that Team Disney Anaheim needs the 💰 + time to make things right (Indiana Jones's just start, I look forward to a new Treehouse in Adventureland + needed TLC throughout Disneyland).❤
Well, that was a nice refresh (and sorely overdue). Thanks for the video, Dusty! Much Appreciated
They really should update the Skeletons at some point
Hmm. Indy missed his line at the door. Still the best ride!
I am so glad it reopened!!!! I am so excited to ride when I go back next time!!!!
Oh yay- glad to see so much has been fixed. Thank you!!
It’s sad, but I know that Disneyland will replace it, ASAP. It will be as good, or better, than it was before. I have complete confidence in THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!
Mara’s eyes are glowing white.😧 0:26
They still didn’t fixed fog effect🤦
Which seems like low hanging fruit in the grand scheme of things, a fog machine seems less complicated on paper than a lot of other effects they fixed or added. I wonder what else might explain it still going unfixed.
Could be two reasons. If it was a water mist type then moisture could cause issues if it was a regular fog effect probably had issues of setting off fire alarms. But who knows.
@@CANNcommaR your close. I’m sure it affected the ride systems.
@@CANNcommaR they had to turn off the red water because the moisture was ruining the ride. There’s still a little bit of water inside the skull though.
@@slob5041 Interesting, where is this info coming from?
Thanks! Great video. I'd love to have seen Dusty's thoughts and a slowmo breakdown of the new effects that wizz by.
Awesomeness
Yay! The snake works again!!!
What an impressive and long-overdue refurbishment! Question: didn't Mara's eye used to zap the ceiling causing rubble-that was really dry ice-to tumble into the pit below as we're first introduced to the suspended bridge scene? Unless that was all in my head, I wish that amazing practical effect was brought back. But the new visual effects prior to the dart tunnel are a major enhancement to the experience. Well done, Imaginerring and Disney attractions dept, for fantastic job!
Yes, on the overlook, that was there originally in 1995, a couple months later, the machine had a lot of malfunctions during its prime, the effect worked with Ice flying from the ceiling. So the ice began to melt quickly, and the effect never worked after, and never will, now it’s just left abandoned. I’m not sure if Disney May bring it back, despite all of this new technology.
@@lukeskywalkerstudios941 Fascinating… It was such a cool effect. Thanks for the response!👍
@@nyckmo9047 ofc anytime!
@@nyckmo9047 if you’d like I can send you a video where you can see it perfectly!
@@lukeskywalkerstudios941 that would be fantastic!
