Another top review Adam. Really helpful 'which version/brand' to get decider. Thanks. My favourite online store hasn't got this one in stock, but I like 6397 more anyway, so I'll go with it. Tamiya's 35340 is marginally (12%) cheaper at face value and is probably an easier build, but I like Dragon's inclusions, attention to detail and for me value adding Magic-Tracks, so Dragon 6397 for me.

The Jagdpanzer IV L/70(V) is my favorite German "tank". I have this kit but haven't started it yet.

Lol I brought a 1/35 Dragon Jagdpanther G2 smart kit recently and it happens that it has so many sprues with so many extra parts from the Panther G and Jagdpanther G1 that I could find at least 6 different MG ball mounts and I was supposed to use one only. Also there is only one sprue made only for this Jagdpanther G2 kit.

Ho Tai Eng Yep. That's how they do it. If they have suspension for Panthers, which they do from the Panther G kits, they use it. And which ever Jagdpanther was first will have it's sprues reused for years. It's kind of annoying that they do that, and it also makes perfect sense. If you ahve the parts and they're correct, it's cheaper to just throw whole sprues in a big box.

I might be choosing to buy this kit but I also might buy the Tamiya Jagdpanzer iv

Ho Tai Eng There is nothing wrong with that new Tamiya L/70 other than maybe the vinyl tracks. It looks to be a very nice kit. I don't AS long as you don't overpay for either I think you're good either way.

Seems like with that kit you could go two different directions. I have run into Dragon kits like that and done so. The instructions never said so. But since when were Dragon instructions clear?

Don't know how I missed this one but nice review as always!
I agree with ya about the Vomag versus the Alkett version, it was just a short lived variant....the German term was Zweischen Losung or Interim Solution.
The Vomag model with that Panther gun wasn't really a good variant, not many produced.

+milky55way2012 Thanks man. Yeah the Alkett one is dreadful and the Vomag is like a sports car. So weird how such similar vehicles can be so different.

Can you tell me the significance of "vomag"? Please ,cheers

@@markusfrombgen2967 yeah I didn't notice that at the time. But of that's in there you're right.
